In Badlapur rape case CCTV footage was deleted. The BJP spokesperson told the reporter "Why are u so angry. U are talking as if you were raped." Read Loksatta and add facts your video about this also. The case even did not come to light till 7 days during Rakshabandhan due to police and Godi media. Even school name was not shown by media (Rumor has that school has links with BJP). Mumbai was busy protesting against Kolkata rape unaware of their own surroundings. Immediately after Badlapur another case came up from Maharashtra (Akola rape case) where a teacher was reportedly raping school students for 4 months. 6 students complained against the teacher. But Godi media never shows this on national TV. If you are in a Non BJP state media will run to you for crimes but in BJP state media will run away from you. According to NCW data for year 2023 more than 50 percent crimes against women happened in the state of UP alone. How many did you see on TV? If you had seen maybe you would know how badly UP is managed by Yogi. And all this failure he hides in Hindu Muslim politics. Rapes from entire country found some news space after Bengal. People started protesting. If West Bengal CM should resign for rape case what about Yogi and the PM?

Thanks, Manisha! The rape figures in the country across all states and UTs tell a horrible story… 86 rapes a day as per recent data. And it is said many cases are not even reported. It’s a sad, shameful, helpless situation. The case of missing persons/ children is again a horrific story of rape and humiliation.

What's more ironic is that the current BJP government has actually decrease the budget allocated to the scheme meant for rehabilitating Kashmiri Pundits. Denying there suffering and the fact that they were targeted because insurgents believe they will side with Indian state because of there religious identity is also wrong. Film kills the possibility of any healing and skews the picture to benefit its agenda. When the killings started, anyone ready to weild tricolour (which included Muslims also) were targeted. Once Afghan jihadis entered the fray and ISI started to call the shots, killings took a communal turn. Film completely obfuscates this fact. This fact is all the more important because up till 2000 more than 66% (approx) of the insurgents killed in Kashmir were outsiders who were not from Kashmir. Film also hides the fact that Muslims were also killed in greater numbers (in absolute terms, relatively speaking Hindus were killed in greater numbers) than Hindus. Not true remember Hatras? This is about doctor's safety in their own work place and it started as a doctor's movement including Dalit doctors. Some cases get outraged more. It's like If a woman police officer gets r*ped in Police station. This got outraged more because it happened in a Hospital in a seminar hall which is usually resting place for Doctors. We're already overworked and underpaid and harrassed by patient's relatives on daily basis.

The police system of evaluating a police station based on crime numbers makes them avoid registering FIRs. It's like cooking up numbers, but here it's not just the number but also avoids the need for action. The police almost never books people for assault. Or does it as non-cognisible. When they do, it's only when there's public pressure. No potentialy dangerous criminal is ever caught when their crimes are small.

My mother was repeatedly abused by my father, he abuses us too. She's now staying with me at a rent away from home. When we threatened dad that we'd file a case against him after he abused me very badly again last month, and abused mom several times this month, the police and the "nari shakti" team came and began preaching that mom should be more tolerant and must remain patient and silently endure the husband's misdeeds, just because he's the man of the house! The police and those people took bribes right infront of us, which dad tried to downplay and justify when we objected that it's for their civil service. Lol. He's not even a man enough to acknowledge or try to change his behaviours. Instead he blamed us and filed a case against us that we are the ones who don't respect him, that mom has done dark magic upon us and that's why we're standing up for her, and that we deserve to be treated like that. How I wish I really knew dark magic like he said lol! The police and those volunteers think they are above law. I'm gonna fight with law this time, but it costs a lot and people are not so trustable. The whole system is highly corrupt and ridiculous.

It’s a sad, shameful, helpless situation. The case of missing persons/ children is again a horrific story of rape and humiliation.

Not only that,Agnihotri also skillfully hid the fact that at that time it was BJP's governor general who was in charge of J&K, he didn't criticize any government who actually did nothing to relocate them again, at the end of the movie I couldn't find a single solution of that situation but got enormous hatred towards the Muslims...you know why?... because after that BJP comes into the picture and they say what you have to do prevent this...the movie just generates anger among people and left people with out any clues so that BJP can lead this mass to go for Mosque demolishing and also for a riot(just like Gujrat)... Another thing this film stated that the whole news were not covered by any media but the reality was it was very much covered by media which was even shown in the film.

Absolutely right. I have to agree that it(The Kashmir files) was a cunning propoganda, but a propoganda none the less. What's more ironic is that the current BJP government has actually decrease the budget allocated to the scheme meant for rehabilitating Kashmiri Pundits.
What happened to Kashmiri Pundits was abhorrable on many levels. To live as an outsider in your own country, To live the horror where your own neighbours turn against you, while the state watch helplessly from afar. And all this was justified on the name of "liberation of Kashmir","Kashmiriyart" and what not. Surely killing Kashmiris cannot be Kashmiriyart?
And as if that was not enough, you lived to see the atrocities you suffer being turned into a political circus. As a 1984 riot puts it-"We've been turned into a political football". Same is true for our Kashmir brothers.
Appropriating the struggle of Kashmiri pandits for justice and dignity to incite Islamophobia is not going to help them. Denying there suffering and the fact that they were targeted because insurgents believe they will side with Indian state because of there religious identity is also wrong.
Film kills the possibility of any healing and skews the picture to benefit its agenda. When the killings started, anyone ready to weild tricolour (which included Muslims also) were targeted. Once Afghan jihadis entered the fray and ISI started to call the shots, killings took a communal turn. Film completely obfuscates this fact. This fact is all the more important because up till 2000 more than 66% (approx) of the insurgents killed in Kashmir were outsiders who were not from Kashmir. Film also hides the fact that Muslims were also killed in greater numbers (in absolute terms, relatively speaking Hindus were killed in greater numbers) than Hindus. Film also choose not to show the stories of shared humanity where Muslim neighbours protect there Hindus brethren.

As someone from West Bengal, I can say that our local news channels provide accurate coverage of this news. In contrast, these so-called national news channels often focus on sensationalism. Hindi news channels, in particular, seem like mind-numbing content for the elderly.
Indian media abandoned journalistic norms long ago, but they have also abandoned empathy or decency although not sure if they had any to begin with.

The police system of evaluating a police station based on crime numbers makes them avoid registering FIRs. It's like cooking up numbers, but here it's not just the number but also avoids the need for action.
The police almost never books people for assault. Or does it as non-cognisible. When they do, it's only when there's public pressure. No potentialy dangerous criminal is ever caught when their crimes are small.

My mother was repeatedly abused by my father, he abuses us too. She's now staying with me at a rent away from home. When we threatened dad that we'd file a case against him after he abused me very badly again last month, and abused mom several times this month, the police and the "nari shakti" team came and began preaching that mom should be more tolerant and must remain patient and silently endure the husband's misdeeds, just because he's the man of the house! The police and those people took bribes right infront of us, which dad tried to downplay and justify when we objected that it's for their civil service. Lol. He's not even a man enough to acknowledge or try to change his behaviours. Instead he blamed us and filed a case against us that we are the ones who don't respect him, that mom has done dark magic upon us and that's why we're standing up for her, and that we deserve to be treated like that. How I wish I really knew dark magic like he said lol! The police and those volunteers think they are above law. I'm gonna fight with law this time, but it costs a lot and people are not so trustable.
