@@SolidMikePthat may be true in the sense of no one likes to be fired but this was going to end this way eventually. Rodgers is a shell of his former self, its obvious. Hes better than the previous QBs but not nearly good enough to overcome the OL issues. Theres definitely a part of Saleh thats got to be relieved, maybe thats the right word…..relieved that he can move on and get back to doing what he was successful at. No more Woody, no more A.Rodgers, no more trying to game plan around an O line thats still bad.

The problem was the offense. Saleh was a defensive coach and Rodgers had his own guy Hacket who was running it. Now Rodgers will have no one else to blame for his poor play. They put too much faith and power into a washed up QB.

Yeah, the guy has been in he NFL 20 seasons and Robert Saleh was his third head coach. The first one lasted 13 seasons in Green Bay before being fired, and has proven in Dallas he isn't that good a head coach. The second coach is still in Green Bay and doing well. Yeah, what a coach killer. I'm not taking Aaron Rodgers' side, because I think he's washed and as arrogant and weird as ever. But Saleh has been in New York since 2021, long before Rodgers finally took the field (for more than three plays) in 2024. The Jets have been spinning their wheels the whole time ando the buck stops with him. Just because you're a good defensive coordinator doesn't necessarily mean you're ready or able to lead an entire team.

The media was literally saying how the Jets were about to go way off the rails. I think Saleh is a good DC but as a HC you are responsible for everything not just defense. Bad teams do what bad teams do...As a fan of a good organization, I live for when the Jets, Panthers, Browns and Jags make these types of moves- it means easy wins and good draft picks when they use their #1 pick on a QB that will fizzle out and good players are still on the board. Plus, they are firing him hoping he finds a new job next season and they don't have to pay his contract buyout price. The Jets are like school in the summertime; No Class...

I have watched every single snap of football under the Robert saleh era. He’s not a good coach. He installs a good defense and can develop defensive talent. His game planing is terrible, his team is undisciplined and starts slow constantly, his clock management skills are awful and he’s extremely stubborn when it comes to making adjustments. All the energy saleh had in San Fran has been evaporated. Saleh is a great guy and a good motivator but he’s not an X’s and O’s coach. As a fan who’s watched every game, every practice, every press conference, this was the correct decision.
