Art Deco, part 5

Illustrators were in the vanguard of Art Deco, building on the earlier poster art of Toulouse Lautrec, Alphonse Mucha and others. Commercial design began to be taken much more seriously in the 1920s. Changing aspirations and fashions were reflected in depictions of sporty, coquettish women with ‘bobbed’ hairstyles.
