"Break It Down Again" is a song by British band Tears For Fears, released as the lead single from their 1993 album Elemental. The song was an international success, reaching number 20 in the UK, number 25 in the US and the top 40 in several other countries. It topped the Billboard Modern Rock Tracks chart in the US and was particularly successful in Canada and Italy, reaching numbers four and seven respectively.
The song was the second single released after Curt Smith's departure from the band (after "Laid So Low" in 1992). As with the "Elemental" album, the song featured Roland Orzabal with members of the band Tears For Fears, additionally Alan Griffiths and Gail Ann Dorsey.
The music video for the song shows Orzabal, Griffiths and Dorsey performing the song in the El Mirage Lake desert in California (USA), where the single "Break It Down Again" and the covers of the Elemental albums were taken. The video was directed by Dani Jacobs.

Roland really digs deep for that low note growl. Awesome.
Outstanding song. Can be listened to over and over without getting tiresome. I was waiting for a movie to start at a local theatre. There was a group of 13/14 year old kids sitting a few rows in front of me. The usual music playing in the time before the curtain is raised, nobody paying attention. Then this came on, and the teens began to notice how good the song was and by the end they were grooving around to it !

This is one of my favorite songs, when it came out in the early 90s,iused I had it recorded in about 5 tapes and used to play it onmy way to school in my walkman - Love it , then in I sang it karaoke in a birthday - everyone in the party loved it :-)

Loved what I'd heard by TFF all these years but never really ventured deep till I spun Elemental in my CD player( Always liked the album art)... Wow, one of my all time favourite albums and this song is just so brilliant. Listening to this at a time when the world has lost its balance - viral pandemic, wars, corrupt inept leaders, fires and a dystopian sense of reality. The album just took me back to this era - the 90s - simpler, kinder times.
