Yeah, lots of celebrities say they are "au natural," When it is so obvious that they had work done. I will say Ariana's procedures look quite natural compared to other famous people's. (Take Megan Fox, or Iggy Azalea, for example!)
I think what's absolutely crazy to me about Ariana is the fact that she was a VERY beautiful girl before all this. And all these tweaks and surgeries have not made her any more attractive... just changes her to fit into a more trendy face. There was no need for it.

@@katarina2601 Even during actually, her looks started to change before the third season if i remember correctly, she looks pretty different between 2010 and 2011 and then again in 2012 (the eyebrow lift was really apparent, i remember because i was 13-14 when i watched it and wondered how she managed to change her eyebrow height and got self conscious about mine :/ that's why i feel pretty sad abt the fact that she actively denies her surgeries..)
I agree so much. She changed her natural rounded facial features to more sharper ones that don't really match her. Her facial features were very unique and gorgeous, now she just has that generic instagram face. Didn't needed to change anything at all
I’m addicted because it’s a reminder that everybody has flaws that they want to fix. I just wish they would be transparent about it because they have young fans who aspire to level up in teen of their beauty meanwhile not realizing they have help from surgeons

Not that I'm defending this (not a big fan of plastic surgery for young people in general), but historically, we've always had some sort of beauty standard, and as globalization increases and demographics change, we're likely to have increasingly homogenized standards.

I'm just remarking at how it's actually not a new phenomenon, since we can look back and see this trend through various decades. Beauty standards are a meme somehow; they just get copied until we get sick of it and move on. Timeless beauty, however, is always in style and people born with it don't need to adhere to standards :)
Idk why stans get so defensive about her surgery when it's not really a big deal. The eye shape might be the eyeliner though,yes it can be surrey as well but just saying,ppl say that she changed her eyes shape and made them smaller around 2015 while her eyes looked so round and big on billboard magazine 2016.Eyeliner can make your eyes bigger and smaller,it depends on the way you use it.

@@bardi7730 well you can often look at people and tell where their family originated. It's not always accurate though. My best friend at school was half Japanese but she looked Italian. I'm half polish and people often (surprisingly) ask me where I'm from (I was born and live in Australia).
Wow Ariana’s one of those celebrities that I’ve never really noticed HOW much work she’s had done compared to older photos of her! Tbh if I had the money, I’d get work done to. Agreed. I think Sindhis her plastic surgery has actually made her look younger then what she would of naturally aged to look like. Her big round expressive eyes were so doll like....when eyebrows that are just upwards slashes aren't trendy anymore what are u going to do? I prefer the high brow peak, but with a natural downward tail end.

I don't think it's the brow lift itself, I think it's the way her brows have been overplucked and shaped. They're a bit better now compared to the ones during her my everything era though

People suffer from BDD, it's very hard to meet people and click photos. Normal people get so insecure about looks, can't imagine how celebrity must be dealing with it. It's not Ariana's fault if she feels insecure, it's human. She can't help it.

I think she made her nose pointier, kept adding filler to her lips, stopped with the excessive fake tan and changed her makeup... I was able to tell when i watched her latest videos singing live and took screenshots and compared them to pictures from 2018. Def the nose. It's a whole new one.

I saw her concert documentary that had her mother in it and it's amazing how before her surgeries, she used to be the spitting image of her Italian mother. The fact that her fans deny the VERY obvious changes is insane to me. My sister is a huge fan and use to watch her on Sam and Cat so once I saw her as a singer I was shocked that that was the same girl. I have round features as well so if all of a sudden I had angular features, it'd be so obvious to anyone with eyes that changes were made. It's laughable that all these celebs actively deny all these obvious surgeries. Just say nothing, we'd respect it more.

Thank you for mentioning that it's not a good idea to put filler in the nose!! I've seen so many people on social media do the non-surgical nose jobs using filler, now I'll have to research more about what other options are available (I have a bump on my nose bridge (area where your glasses sit) due to an accident in middle school back in the day. 'Since Ariana is a thin person, that can take a toll on one's face. I do think that she needed to add some of the volume back to her face that may have been lost over the years. This starts to happen in our late 20s'. Me, about to turn 26 in a few months: 😧😧😧
Basically, if you had baby fat in your cheeks in your early 20s, that will go away and they'll look a bit more hollow. This is great if you have naturally prominent cheekbones, but it can look a bit gaunt if it was the fat making your cheekbones large and prominent in the first place. It just kinda falls out of place over time as your muscles overcorrect, you lose collagen and elastin, etc. You can do exercises and massage to help but I recommend starting now for better/faster results than waiting til you notice the change. Other than that, don't sweat it; they're just cheeks. 😊

I'm a mega fan of Ariana Grande, for crying out loud, it's so clear she got work done and there's nothing wrong with that. most of us if we have access to those procedures we would do that too. i know i would. She being all natural or not isnt what makes her a good or bad person, or good/bad artist. It's their body, their choice. Nobody should be forced to about their plastic surgery, but deny something that is so clear, makes them look so bad. If you can't be honest about something so simple, i'm concerned about your integrity.
getting all of these surgeries shouldn’t be the standard for anyone to be more accepted or okay with themselves. facetune and celebrity surgeries are creating unrealistic standards for normal girls that in the long wrong will only cause harm to them and those who look up to them.

There's nothing wrong with plastic surgery but I don't agree with lying about it and I don't think people should jump into getting it done if they're not in a good place mentally. It shouldn't be something you get done because you're miserable and think that changing your face and/or body is going to magically motivate you and change how you feel drastically. Our insecurities are something that we must handle from the inside. You'll always find something new to hate about yourself, always feel not good enough. It doesn't matter how much filler you get if you hate yourself. Our society is built to prey on these weaknesses. We need to focus on our mental health, our self love. When you're in a good place then go ahead get whatever done! Unfortunately this seems to be the issue with Ariana. She seems to be very insecure. She continously lies about the work she's got done and continues to get more. She seems stuck on finding happiness in all the wrong places. While I understand this and feel for her, her lying is extremely harmful for others and that must be something she's critisced for, that conversation should stay open because she's not the only one. Lying adds to the stigma which harms her and everyone else. It makes the young people looking up to her further believe that there must be something wrong with them because they do not look the same or haven't had such a "glow up". That's so harmful because it leads to self hatred, confusion, distress. Humans don't naturally age like this, this isn't natural and we shouldn't lie and say it is. (another thing that I've noticed is that she always seems like she's trying to push away her race - she's white but seems so focused on being more than a white American. Her tanning, her constant confirmation of the things she's mixed with, her "blaccent" and her continued 'appropriation'/usage of the black culture/community (although she has given back recently by talking about blm), and her pushing how her family is from Italy (ig that's her way of showing she's not just a 'basic' white girl?))

Very eloquent and thoughtful comment, OP. I feel sorry for Ariana in a way. As she gets older, she's only going to resist the natural aging process harder, creating even more mental tension over how she looks. She should be celebrating a successful career but instead, I suspect she'll be chasing youth and glory more desperately than ever, unless she starts making shifts in her mindset and how she truly feels about herself inside. I hope people look at her and learn the moral of the story: stop avoiding the work you have to do in order to love yourself.

Like, I get it from the perspective of being the same age she is and not looking a day older than 17 lol I would do anything I can to look older and to be taken seriously, if I had that money. I'm glad she fixed her eyebrows. Mine are naturally uneven like that and I have to grow them differently so you can't tell as much. She's very pretty before and after she grew up and got things done. But I will say those eyebrows give her this perma-sass look which was still cute.

I think this is an extremely interesting topic because on one hand, I don't think celebrities should feel obligated to disclose their plastic surgery procedures since it is private information, they already have their privacy invaded regularly, and they live in the public eye. On the same token however, their young impressionable audiences as well as other members of society may feel pressured and down on themselves for not resembling celebrities who they may believe are actually "natural" when that is simply just not the case. It's a conundrum for sure. I think the mission of Lorry is really important because if we erased the stigma surrounding plastic surgery, that may solve the issue since celebrities may feel less ashamed about sharing this information and ordinary people may learn to feel more comfortable in their own natural bodies. It’s interesting how she made her nose bigger with grafts. Perhaps we’re moving into a new beauty trend where larger or average size noses are attractive instead of tiny Barbie noses. Or perhaps because Ariana’s nose is still smaller (but not as tiny as it once was), she was conscience of her ageing and just wanted a better suited look- more mature. But I don’t know, just food for thought 🤷♀️
She either did it to fit the golden ratio, because noses that have been worked on thin out more with time so she probably wanted to stop it from thinning out even more and disproportioning her face..or she wanted to look more natural to go along with her lies about not having worked done....lol

Yeah, lots of celebrities say they are "au natural," When it is so obvious that they had work done. I will say Ariana's procedures look quite natural compared to other famous people's. (Take Megan Fox, or Iggy Azalea, for example!)

After falling into an Audrey Hepburn “obsession” again, I suddenly figured out what Ariana’s earliest surgeries were for. She wanted to catch the look Audrey had, specifically her large, beautiful eyes. She’s obviously changed her taste and style, and so the route of plastic surgery too. I saw her concert documentary that had her mother in it and it's amazing how before her surgeries, she used to be the spitting image of her Italian mother. The fact that her fans deny the VERY obvious changes is insane to me. My sister is a huge fan and use to watch her on Sam and Cat so once I saw her as a singer I was shocked that that was the same girl. I have round features as well so if all of a sudden I had angular features, it'd be so obvious to anyone with eyes that changes were made. I've seen so many people on social media do the non-surgical nose jobs using filler, now I'll have to research more about what other options are available (I have a bump on my nose bridge (area where your glasses sit) due to an accident in middle school back in the day. Insecurities will do that to a person. She’s also probably ashamed even though the surgeons for the most part did a good job.
'Since Ariana is a thin person, that can take a toll on one's face. I do think that she needed to add some of the volume back to her face that may have been lost over the years. This starts to happen in our late 20s'.

Basically, if you had baby fat in your cheeks in your early 20s, that will go away and they'll look a bit more hollow. This is great if you have naturally prominent cheekbones, but it can look a bit gaunt if it was the fat making your cheekbones large and prominent in the first place. It just kinda falls out of place over time as your muscles overcorrect, you lose collagen and elastin, etc. You can do exercises and massage to help but I recommend starting now for better/faster results than waiting til you notice the change. Other than that, don't sweat it; they're just cheeks. 😊

I'm a mega fan of Ariana Grande, for crying out loud, it's so clear she got work done and there's nothing wrong with that. most of us if we have access to those procedures we would do that too. i know i would. She being all natural or not isnt what makes her a good or bad person, or good/bad artist. It's their body, their choice. Nobody should be forced to about their plastic surgery, but deny something that is so clear, makes them look so bad. If you can't be honest about something so simple, i'm concerned about your integrity.
getting all of these surgeries shouldn’t be the standard for anyone to be more accepted or okay with themselves. facetune and celebrity surgeries are creating unrealistic standards for normal girls that in the long wrong will only cause harm to them and those who look up to them.

There's nothing wrong with plastic surgery but I don't agree with lying about it and I don't think people should jump into getting it done if they're not in a good place mentally.
It shouldn't be something you get done because you're miserable and think that changing your face and/or body is going to magically motivate you and change how you feel drastically.
Our insecurities are something that we must handle from the inside. You'll always find something new to hate about yourself, always feel not good enough. It doesn't matter how much filler you get if you hate yourself.
Our society is built to prey on these weaknesses.
We need to focus on our mental health, our self love. When you're in a good place then go ahead get whatever done!
Unfortunately this seems to be the issue with Ariana. She seems to be very insecure. She continously lies about the work she's got done and continues to get more. She seems stuck on finding happiness in all the wrong places. While I understand this and feel for her, her lying is extremely harmful for others and that must be something she's critisced for, that conversation should stay open because she's not the only one. Lying adds to the stigma which harms her and everyone else. It makes the young people looking up to her further believe that there must be something wrong with them because they do not look the same or haven't had such a "glow up". That's so harmful because it leads to self hatred, confusion, distress. Humans don't naturally age like this, this isn't natural and we shouldn't lie and say it is.
(another thing that I've noticed is that she always seems like she's trying to push away her race - she's white but seems so focused on being more than a white American. Her tanning, her constant confirmation of the things she's mixed with, her "blaccent" and her continued 'appropriation'/usage of the black culture/community (although she has given back recently by talking about blm), and her pushing how her family is from Italy (ig that's her way of showing she's not just a 'basic' white girl?))

I feel sorry for Ariana in a way. As she gets older, she's only going to resist the natural aging process harder, creating even more mental tension over how she looks. She should be celebrating a successful career but instead, I suspect she'll be chasing youth and glory more desperately than ever, unless she starts making shifts in her mindset and how she truly feels about herself inside.
I hope people look at her and learn the moral of the story: stop avoiding the work you have to do in order to love yourself.

I'm glad she fixed her eyebrows. Mine are naturally uneven like that and I have to grow them differently so you can't tell as much. She's very pretty before and after she grew up and got things done. But I will say those eyebrows give her this perma-sass look which was still cute.

I think this is an extremely interesting topic because on one hand, I don't think celebrities should feel obligated to disclose their plastic surgery procedures since it is private information, they already have their privacy invaded regularly, and they live in the public eye. On the same token however, their young impressionable audiences as well as other members of society may feel pressured and down on themselves for not resembling celebrities who they may believe are actually "natural" when that is simply just not the case. It's a conundrum for sure. I think the mission of Lorry is really important because if we erased the stigma surrounding plastic surgery, that may solve the issue since celebrities may feel less ashamed about sharing this information and ordinary people may learn to feel more comfortable in their own natural bodies. i just looked at her recent photo, i don’t know if it’s photoshop or not but the fat tip of her nose is completely gone, almost shaven and is more straight. ariana is one of my biggest inspirations and she can do whatever she wants with her body. just something i noticed because doesn’t look like her victorious nose at all.

It’s interesting how she made her nose bigger with grafts. Perhaps we’re moving into a new beauty trend where larger or average size noses are attractive instead of tiny Barbie noses.
