Brave brave man - a white van, mum's yellow car, a clothes horse full of washing, and a bloke with a rattle can spraying paint all about ! What could possibly go wrong!? Good job - looks much better now !
use to do that quite a bit when i was spraying the cars. easy way to get them off with heat gun and fishing like and goo remover to get remnants of the double sided tape off
Welcome back, Warro! I saw that you posted a video several days ago, but when I went to watch it after I got home from work, it was gone. This was excellent, though. I think it's funny that you did it in the summer; that would be one of those winter projects for me. Fantastic results. Thank you for the video!
yeah that clip never got many views so i pulled it. its far to cold here in winter to try and put the clear coat on so i took advantage of the better weather cond. plus i still have to cut polish and stripe it. reasonable job i think for a spray can but when i use to paint the cars im now certain that a compressor and gun was a far better move....lol and much quicker to. plan to leave it for a few days now then on to the cutting and stripes. i think it needs those to break up the colour - too much red so i think that side will be worth the effort to do all the best!
Gotta say Warro, you made it look easy, mate. Especially removing the HONDA logo. But a ten minute video doesn't capture the time and effort that went into the project. Well done. Looking forward with curiosity to the next part of the video.
well 15 or so years back when i did the full re-spray on that yellow car it was originally black. took about 80 hours work to do that but its still holding on. cars are expensive to spray and a good quality job would cost you $20k here
id preferred an actual compressor and gun but i tossed that unit out a few years back so it was only a rattle can hit or nothing. in all honesty not as good as using an actual spray gun/compressor but it sort of did the job. maybe i should have kept my good gear...lol
i'd preferred a gun but i tossed all that stuff out including the compressor so not worth the trouble to buy again. the rattle can did ok on this smaller job. all the best!
G'day Warro, the Honda is looking so much better, l do all my own spray painting and I love doing it, take your time and do it right l say, great video might help others if they want to have a go, cheers mate, Neil 🤠.
i don't like doing it but i sort of had no choice...lol going back a few years i did like re-spraying the cars but not now...lol next up will be the stripes. that will make it even faster
normally id moved the car but it hasn't been washed in a good 3 months so it would only collect a bit of easy to wash off surface spray. i sprayed that car from black to yellow a good 15 years back and its still holding ok that was with a compressor not a rattle can...lol all the best!
Eye appeal has gone from zero to 100 and that's even before you've done the finishing! If this was on the shop floor I'd be stopping to look instead of walking on by👍♥️
It's hard to believe one could get that kind of result using spray cans. It looks terrific, Warro. It really does wonders for the overall look of the bike.👍😊
id much preferred to use a spray gun and compressor but on my last car spray i put it out the front and said id had enough and it was gone in 5 minutes...lol so its was a rattle can or nothing. wife still likes the blue better but we all have choices...lol this colour is very close to my classic 350 red/chrome too
My GB is the black/grey or whatever it is. You have done a great job with the red which is reminiscent of the old CB250. The change to red is let down a bit by the black engine/side cases/wheels. The old silver and red CB was such a pretty little bike that your red/black GB doesn't quite catch the essence of. Great job but I think I will leave mine as is.
yeah a silver type motor would have been better. i dont like painted motors much. still needs more attention so a stripe kit in while should set it off. sort of reminds me a bit of the enfield 535gt i had in red...lol except better...lol
yeah i don't think any-one else would be that silly to re-paint a near new bike BUT ive painted at least 20 cars so to hit it with a new outlook was sort of interesting. all the best!
Hi Warro, I am curious about the paint, does it have a widget with hardener in the can? Just wondering how it’ll hold up to a bit of wear and tear. No excuse for the car drivers not to see you now.
the main areas are just clear coated and the tank itself is a very dangerous to your health if your not masked up correctly 2 part clear. i did not go into any detail on the painting just in case some-one does something silly and gets done in. could be their last ridewithwarro...lol so passed!
Wow Warro, you always wanted a red Duchonda! The red colour really transforms the bland Matte Dark Blue but the seat is definitely a new one! Was that black spray paint or a black die? Looks great!
Massive improvement , I don’t understand why the produce a 70s retro style bike and the paint them in modern day trendy, dull Matt finish 🤷♂️ they should have looked through the history books and given a nod to the 70s candy / metallic paint finishes , I guess it’s a cost thing , but Enfield. Seem to be able to do it ! My classic 350 chrome bronze and inter 650 are gorgeous ( I’m an ex pro car painter ) I’m interested in a GB350s to add along my other bikes and if I do , first thing it gets is a paint job as the colours here in Europe are bloody awful , I’ll also be fitting the same rear mudguard rather than the hideous plank Keep up the great work , best wishes from Austria 🇦🇹
if any-one cares to look on the tube the honda hiness came out in india in blue and white and looked extremely period style. plus your right i remember the candy colour honda motorcycles in early 70's and yet for some reason -they provide these drab matte colours. by the way if you get one add a 13t front sprocket. a big improvement on the cheap and performs well.
over the years ive done it to about 20 cars from mustangs to classics most were bare metal re-sprays so this was not too involved. but not with a rattle gun. the last real spray i did was a mx5 miata and after that said i'd had enough and parked the air compressor out the front and it was gone in 5 minutes complete with hoses guns the lot...lol believe it or not i hate working on cars/bikes and spraying cars...lol
A lot of effort...but, It's the only one in Oz....so you won't pass one that colour going in the opposite direction !....the downside being, the Cops will be able to easily spot you, so, behave !....lol
Brave brave man - a white van, mum's yellow car, a clothes horse full of washing, and a bloke with a rattle can spraying paint all about ! What could possibly go wrong!? Good job - looks much better now !
lol....i actually did a more detailed owners clip on this bike late today. i think it should be ready to go by tomorrow night.
cheers
Top job Warro, love the new look. Hope Honda takes heed of the improvement that can be made.
You and me both!
Looks good Warro, great job you have done and neat trick to get the decals of the tank. 👍
use to do that quite a bit when i was spraying the cars. easy way to get them off with heat gun and fishing like and goo remover to get remnants of the double sided tape off

Top job Warro. Nice and unique now. Matches in with the classic somewhat. More red = more fast.
sort of does a bit...lol when i stripe it i think much faster.
Looks good. I've been waiting for this video. Nice job Warro
thanks. next will be the go faster stripes...lol
What a change Warro...and a real good one at that.
came out ok in the end so a stripe kit next
Wow great job Warro & go faster now being Racer Red got a extra 2hp.
@@ruahinesrider plus an extra 3 when i add the stripes...lol
Looks great Warro and top notch job. Great choice of colour for the bike also and will go 10% faster as they say. Well done Warro.🇦🇺👍
thanks, yeah red is faster. lol plus once i stripe it that will help too..lol
You got skills mate. Looks great 👍
id preferred an actual compressor and gun but i tossed that unit out a few years back so it was only a rattle can hit or nothing.
in all honesty not as good as using an actual spray gun/compressor but it sort of did the job.
maybe i should have kept my good gear...lol
Hummmmmm, Actually came out flipping lovely!!
still has to be striped too. that will give it the more racer look...lol
Nice job Warro bike looks a hell of a lot better your not to bad at the spraying
i'd preferred a gun but i tossed all that stuff out including the compressor so not worth the trouble to buy again.
the rattle can did ok on this smaller job.
all the best!
Top Job matey. Looks really good in red. Like the top trick for removing decals.... Cheers mate 🙂
yeah they would be really hard to get off without that heat gun and fishing line. on those they use really strong and good quality double-sided tape
Mate! What a fantastic result. Well done.
Glad you liked it! The stripes will really help with the overall look too.
That pops!! It's given it a 70-s/80's Italian look like the smaller Moto Morinis or Moto Guzzis
yeah i think the black seat spray topped it off. next up the stripes
G'day Warro, the Honda is looking so much better, l do all my own spray painting and I love doing it, take your time and do it right l say, great video might help others if they want to have a go, cheers mate, Neil 🤠.

Lovely initial transformation, Warro! Can't wait to see the finished job! 👍
Thanks! 👍
I'm not surprised you painted it mate. The original colour was bloody awful! Far nicer now! Well done Warro. 😊
Thank you! Cheers!
I really like your choice of colour, it looks great.
Careful you don't get over spray on the MG.
Ride safe
normally id moved the car but it hasn't been washed in a good 3 months so it would only collect a bit of easy to wash off surface spray.
i sprayed that car from black to yellow a good 15 years back and its still holding ok
that was with a compressor not a rattle can...lol
all the best!
Looks the business now,did you use a clear coat?... Nice colour 👍
yeah i used 2k clear on the tank and just 1k clear on the other stuff. over-all it came out pretty good.
Nice work Warro. Keep your videos coming
glad you enjoyed it. i'll be doing more on this bike soon so stay tuned...
Eye appeal has gone from zero to 100 and that's even before you've done the finishing! If this was on the shop floor I'd be stopping to look instead of walking on by👍♥️
Thanks mate, the stripes will help too!
Looks good. For a minute I thought you were going to paint the seat red.
brown just did not look good so i had to source out vinyl trim paint to do the seat. better black that's for sure
Looks so much better in red , good job!
Thanks!
It's hard to believe one could get that kind of result using spray cans. It looks terrific, Warro. It really does wonders for the overall look of the bike.👍😊

so its was a rattle can or nothing.
wife still likes the blue better but we all have choices...lol
this colour is very close to my classic 350 red/chrome too
Proper shiny red now.
Excellent work.
thanks it turned out ok. will stand out better on dirt roads and i can see it more clearly when i park it...lol
all the best!
Fantastic Warro.Did you put clear coat on it?
yeah i still have to cut it but i like it to settle for a while
@ridewithwarro Good idea 💡 looking great 👍 👌.
Sensational. Huge improvement!
thanks. a stripe kit next

Proper Job 💪🏻👋🏻🏴
thanks and appreciated
Looks great mate, definitely the only red one in the country 🏍🇬🇧👍
yeah i don't think any-one else would be that silly to re-paint a near new bike BUT ive painted at least 20 cars so to hit it with a new outlook was sort of interesting.

Charge your phone haha
yep...lol
Did that to an MZ250 once - good fun. What did you spray the seat with.?
vinyl auto trim paint
@ thought so, I used some sort of leather dye once.
great work , looks like a factory job . I dunno why Australia gets bikes with the most boring colour schemes all the time for .
yeah they seem to think we only want blue, black and a few other boring colours...lol
Was wondering where’ve you been. Looks good! Stands out. Gone from a low key midnight classic colour to a loud exciting colour
Been busy but yeah, this red is much more fun than the old colour. all it needs now is the stripes
Wow Warro, you always wanted a red Duchonda!
The red colour really transforms the bland Matte Dark Blue but the seat is definitely a new one!
Was that black spray paint or a black die?
Looks great!
that's a dye on the seat from brown to black. went on quite well too. really need the b;lack seat. stripes are next
@ridewithwarro that's the word I was looking for! Excellent!
Dont forget to change the colour on the log book or the rozzers will have you. Great job, dont understand why Honda didnt do one in red.
yeah i will look into that after i complete the striping. all the best!
lovely music from 07.30 relaxing
too relaxing...lol if id been playing that id had paint runs for sure...lol
You’ve given her some Lipstick 💄 Bloody Beauty Mate …
great to hear you liked the colour change
love it !
great and appreciated.
nice one Warro
you could say it filled in a few hours...lol
Here's something to ponder. Put the HONDA logos on the side panels.
once they arrive i have the stripes to fit. now those honda tank logos are sort of curved a bit. will see what happens there later.
@ yes indeed , I wish they sent the H,ness 350 version to Europe , there’s some nice looking models in the Asian market
@@timboharty7325 yeah that would be nice
It'll go faster now Warro, 😂
well maybe not yet but when i run those GT stripes over it...a good chance...lol
What was the Seat done with?
You need Sunglasses now, it's Bright!
vinyl spray for car interiors
As said Warro, a lot of work, and you've done a good job. Would you you do it again to a new bike, in another life though?
over the years ive done it to about 20 cars from mustangs to classics most were bare metal re-sprays so this was not too involved.
but not with a rattle gun.
the last real spray i did was a mx5 miata and after that said i'd had enough and parked the air compressor out the front and it was gone in 5 minutes
complete with hoses guns the lot...lol
believe it or not i hate working on cars/bikes and spraying cars...lol
Major improvement on that awful bland blue it came in. was that the only colour option? Cheers mate.
that or matte black. either way both poor choices...lol
Nice one
Appreciate the feedback!
The same podgy styling as the old CB250/400 Dream. But I bet it's not as comfy
probably correct there. i actually added a gel insert to the seat...lol all the best!
Black seat looks heaps better
yeah the brown factory was not the go. an easy colour change so all good there.
A lot of effort...but, It's the only one in Oz....so you won't pass one that colour going in the opposite direction !....the downside being, the Cops will be able to easily spot you, so, behave !....lol
well it is at the moment but that may give honda the urge to say we would like to sell more....give them better colours...lol
