What wonderful memories at this little park. When my parents said we were going it felt like we were heading to Walt Disney World. Simple pleasure and wonderful times!

My jaw dropped when I saw that this was listed on youtube, thanks for posting it!
I've love to see some decent pictures of the "sputnik sign" across the street near the Colstone, I always had a fascination with it when I was a kid in the 70's and I don't think I ever got to see it lit.
Edit: I FINALLY found out what those "sputnik" signs were really called, they're called "roto-spheres" and there's even some videos of them in action posted on youtube! I guess the sign I saw was in fact Colstone's and they even sold a book of matches for the restaurant which featured a drawing of it, though I have never been able to find a actual picture of that particular sign itself other than one looking down the street that barely shows it. I wonder where it wound up once it was taken down? I hope a collector has it and it didn't just get thrown out.

I ran the Ferris wheel there for seven summers.

Why is this in the foxborough historical society? Shouldn't it be in the north attleboro historical society?

My favorite ride was the "Parachute" ride, and my parents had their first date here.

At 16:53 I think that's Salty Brine waving his captain's hat.

By the way, you can see a 1971 areal photo of the area by going to www.historicaerials.com/viewer and searching for 171 East Washington St, North Attleboro, MA and then scrolling down the list of dates in the Aerial list and picking 1971.

There is still some open area left there where it used to be. You can still see part of the sign and the concrete footing for the sign when you drive by.

Part of the parking lot is still visible in google's satellite imagery. There's a rectangle area of trees in the footprint of the ice-cream bar. Lakeshore Drive wasn't there at the time and the parking lot included the area of Lakeshore Drive and the buildings along it. The mini-golf was norrth of the building's outline and Fun Land was south of the parking lot.
