My hat goes off to the performers and all those involved with the choreography and everyone behind the scenes. I would like to know how long it took to make this happen.
For my high school band it takes around 3 weeks to get 4 songs down along with choreography, so I would say at least (maybe don’t take my word for it) a month

Mark Jansen well, when i did marching band we had two week camp from late july-early august. and during the fall we had three hour practice twice a week plus saturday train a thons sometimes and regular weekly class. not to mention our own "at home" practice on top of that. and that was HIGH school. a full time university probably has practice every night plus at home practice and music class etc
Because of the away game the week before, we had 2 weeks to prepare this particular show. We meet every weekday for about 2 hours as a group, plus about 3 hours of rehearsal the day of the game, and also spend lots of time outside of rehearsal working on our own music parts. Glad you enjoyed it!
From 1977 they chose... Saturday Night Fever? Hmm... I can't remember... what was a slightly more significant movie from that year. I think it had a guy dressed in all black in it, named Darth something or other...

No Star Wars, TopGun, Jaws, E.T. or any other great movie theme other than what the band played. That is so sad that they left out so many other great movie themes. I'm so sad and really disappointed they left so many good themes out of their performance.
