Yeah, SAKI speaks English well, albeit with a strong accent. Sadly, when she left the band they lost their only really capable English speaker. The others speak a little, but not that much. There is still uncertainty about SAKI's departure. Initially, she and the band said that the split was amicable and respectful, and that it was down to SAKI wanting to take a different path, but she and the band very soon unfollowed each other on social media, and there has been a conspicuous absence of messages between SAKI and the other Nemophila band members on occasions such as birthdays. Also, for all SAKI's comments about wanting to realise her potential as a solo guitarist, her activities have been modest compared to Nemophila's as a band. Some of her time has been spent playing in what is, in effect, a covers band. In a (now deleted) comment on a video, SAKI said that she didn't want to leave Nemophila. To make things even more puzzling, Kensuke Akiyama, who wrote or co-wrote most of their most popular songs, stopped working with Nemophila at around the same time SAKI left.
Yes it is hard to say what really went down. They all wrote nice things about each other when Saki left and she said she thought the band would be fine. Their is a possibility they could have private SM accounts where they might communicate with each other sometimes. Who knows. When Saki said she did not want to leave it confused many. Me I always just took as she did not want to leave but deep down she really wanted to go out on her own and had to make a choice. I mean people do make choices in their lives about things where they do like where they are at but deep down want to pursue other things. I agree Nemophila has been more active than Saki has. Maybe her solo album plans just taking longer or maybe this is how she wants it. As far as them changing producers. I never put too much thought in it. Most the bands I have followed over the last 30 years seem to never stay with the same producer forever. They did say they enjoyed and learned a lot from working with him and would like to work with him in the future again possibly. He said the same about them and the future. So who knows. I am just happy the band as been pushing forward and staying very active. They are releasing a new song next week and cd with not only Beautiful Days on it but Progress and G.O.D on it too. I still think they are working on more and will see a new album out next year sometime. Today on SM they were talking about Tamu laying down drum tracks? Not sure if it for Beautiful Days or another new song. I would think another new song because pretty sure Beautiful days would have been all wrapped up by now. We will see.
Mi banda favorita de Japón! Gracias 👍😎
