    pines have shallow roots systems that run long and laterally you are right they are strong from the swaying and bending but they do not have a deep tap root brother

      Thanks for your feedback on this video. The length of the roots in pine trees varies based on the species. Small Pine trees have root length of 4 to 15 feet while roots of larger Pines can extend up to a length of 35 to 75 feet deep.

      Actually a few species of pine do have a deep taproot and roots, such as Pinus Ponderosa, Pinus Jeffreyi, ETC. This allows them to access water in times of drought, and seedlings only a few inches tall can have a taproot twice that length. This also allows them to withstand strong winds and survive severe conditions.

    Hi, do you add fertilizer during the process of growth of pine trees, or what type of nurturing do you offering during the period of growth.

    • @AfricaFarming
      @AfricaFarming  ปีที่แล้ว

      We use organic manure and mix it with the soil before planting. After that, all it takes is just watering. Pine trees have a way of growing on their own without having to apply more fertilizer

    What do you consider a big piece of land? I have 3 hectares

    • @AfricaFarming
      @AfricaFarming  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Big is relative. To the natives of the area where our farm is 3 hectares isn't big because they own thousands of hectares. But to some other people, 3 hectares is paradise.

    i have a ten hecter of land so i thaught of planting pines and avocado trees. Whats your advise?

    • @AfricaFarming
      @AfricaFarming  ปีที่แล้ว

      Avocado will need a regular source of water. So ensure you have water and also just be patient because these plants take a while before you see the fruits of your labour

    Are they harmful to stones walls? Will they make house crack?

    • @AfricaFarming
      @AfricaFarming  ปีที่แล้ว

      Some species have deep roots. That's why is preferable to plant them away from your house or any underground infrastructure
