So, which timeline do you prefer, the old EU one or the Disney one? I know this is a redundant question but I just like to read about people not liking Disney
Old EU. Authors pitched in to help develop a lore that had thought and meaning. Disney canon is just a corporation making easy, fast money and shallow lore.
Plenty of Jedi probably didn’t believe in war. So they might have left the order, at the outbreak of the clone wars. Making it harder for the empire to track them down. Just speculation tho
Canonically, 1% of all KNOWN 10k Jedi Knights of the Clone Wars era survived. So that leaves 100 Jedi Knights in the years following the end of the Clone Wars.
Order 66 wasn't the worst Jedi purge in SW, that was the Darth Nihilus and the gang's credit. By the end of that war, there were like only 6 Jedi left and most of those were only just made into Jedi.
It's not really known how many Jedi survived the First Purge, there were also the Lost Jedi, whixh means both Meetra Surik's new students and all the other possibke survivors. The difference is, Palpatine's Purge truly destroyed the Jedi Order as an institution, forcing Luke to start a completely new order from scratch. Meetra at least had a template to restore the order upon.
Thrawn was in the empire before the Empire lost. He was with Darth Vader on some missions. He got sent away before the Empire fell and then came back.v
I think a "Underrated" or "Important yet forgotten" characters would be cool. Like, Darth Marr is such an incredible character who played a important role on the battle against Vitiate but people dont talk about him that much
Where did you get the information about Thrawn? I've read 3 books about his career in the Chiss Empire and than another 3 about his place in Palpatin's empire, but as far as I know there are another old trilogy about his business after the fall of the Empire (sorta like story in the video) . I'm not sure can we count this books as a part of his story now, after Ahsoka show, cuz in those times was no Ahsoka, nor Ezra and others
It's the story from the Heir of the empire book trilogy, it was the first appearance of Thrawn before being declared legends by Disney. Personally, i prefer it over the canon story line hence I decided to cover it here. How did you like the new Thrawn books? I did read them as well and think they're different but pretty good nonetheless on a smaller scale
For sure books are better then Disney's "Canon". And yeah, new books are just great, both trilogies. " Alliances is my absolute favorite, the intersection between stories in the book and collision with another story from the Chiss trilogy is just too good
Actually 4BBY-5ABY is the new Canon dating for the Galactic Civil War. In Legends, the whole lasts between 2BBY and 19ABY. So all the later conflicts in this video are still part of the Galactic Civil War, ended only with the Pallaeon-Gavirsom treaty.
It honestly sounds like it was a script written by someone else that had their buddy who has never seen Star Wars read it because they have a clearer speaking voice. I'm not saying that Star Wars names are necessarily easy but some of them are real words like viceroy, or names that have been spoken openly in the films/TV shows so there is no excuse otherwise.
To be honest I think this is a Ai channel seen a really similar pattern with another channel called "Ceric Artman" saw a video how he got exposed and now all the same factors apply to this channel aswell just look at the volume of videos created in such a short amount of time the TH-camr exposing was called "blooms" i think
Yeah it's a VA that speaks good english without an accent, but doesn't really know a lot about Star Wars, I write the scripts so everything you hear opinionwise is my opinion, I try to correct him usually on Mistakes so they don't happen twice, it's a real human being doing the voiceover though, like an AI voice wouldn't have the odd pauses and such so I don't get why some people think it's an AI voice lol

EU all the way.
Both have their hit and misses
"the great general JarJar Bings"😂
Hahaha that was intentional
yes
Say Viceroy again 👁👄👁
You say barely any Jedi survived but it seems like a new Jedi comes out every month at this point that survived

Palpatine really dislikes planets it seem. I mean building one or two planet destroying weapons is fine but like more than five seems a bit exessive.

I think this story is from original trilogy of Trawn books, but I think it's not a canon since Disney took over
The music gives this vidio the exact touch, good work!
how is the music from the phantom menace part called?
If we're counting the Invasion of Naboo as a war, shouldn't we count the Stark Hyperspace war or the Yinchorri Uprising as well?
These video's are so good, i love them
🙋♂🙋♂🙋♂🙋♂Thanks for the postings.
Love the use of Empire at war music in my the background.
Just hope i dont get copyright striked...though i've been told that the old game musics usually shouldn't be an issue

Sorry bruh i didnt watch your others but this one is great! Also will you ever do streams
Maybe sometime down the road i'll do a stream, but need to find the time for it and don't really have the setup either atm

Yeah you are right...I wanted to differentiate them clearly so took some liberty there, but good catch
Hell yeah :)

Can anyone give me good recommendations for graphic novels from the video? They looked amazing and he doesn’t include sources for the images.
would love to know too!
The most popular 5
Also super close to 5k :D
What about the war between the Rakata, the Killik, the Kwa, the Celestials, and the Gree that lasted thousands of years and before 30000 bby
Now i wait for Disney To make its own ultimate/ Absolute universe for star wars
( from marvel and DC)
That would be just Legends
???
No Stark Hyperspace War?
I wanted to focus more on the main timeline against the sith, i'll probably cover it in the future
1st time I've heard Tyrannous and Valorum pronounced so wrongly....and Pellaeon and Jorus C'baoth.
You really are bad at pronouncing names huh? Hahaha
