I think a lot of people have forgotten that garden tractors are still tractors and can do more than just mow your lawn. I’m glad the folks at Brinly Hardy are still keeping that tradition alive, I might get a sleeve hitch and some implements for my stepdad’s Cub Cadet XT1 and prove to him that it’s more than just a mower

I'm ordering one today, with a disc, cultivator and aerator/spreader I'm super excited. I farm 1 acre and these implements will dramatically cut down on my work load.

With a Johnny product sleeve hitch, tire chains, a Husqvarna ts354xd and a brinley moldboard plow I have trouble turning new ground with weights. Unsure what I've done wrong.

My problem has been in locating a proper sleeve hitch for my JD 590.

Hello Mic! Sleeve hitches can be purchased through your tractor manufacturer.

Good products but I think you need to hire me to show how to set up that plow to work correctly lol. Not trying to be a negative nancy but, damn. The dude doesn't have the coulter adjusted right, the pitch (front to back tilt is wayyy off). On top of that he is only going 2-3" deep, not nearly deep enough.
I can turn over fresh sod a good 5-6" deep, in clean rows with this plow. Once again, good products but who ever in charge of these how-to videos has no idea how to adjust it to do a good job.

They probably did that on purpose. If He had it set to 7 inches, the tractor might not move or move half a mile per hour. They want to show someone doing it at 5 mph to make it seems as though it works fast.

@@ra3975 You are probably correct. That X500 doesn't have weights and those turf tires aren't good for plowing sod. I do have a couple short videos of this plow working very well on my channel. It's ideal depth is 5" to 6" which is plenty for a garden. I am going to make a video on how to set it up one of these days because I see a lot of people struggle with it. It is a good plow and with a properly setup GT is a pleasure to use even breaking new ground. I usually plow around 3 to 4 mph with my General Electric tractor. It has plenty of weight from the battery pack and loads of torque to get through tough spots. My old Craftsman struggled with traction so it was probably more like 2 to3 LOL.

Thanks for the great recommendation! We are currently working on a series of videos that will dive deeper into the correct settings and adjustments for our ground engaging attachments. To be honest, we were so excited to get these out and dig that we may have gone a little fast on the tractor and not perfectly adjusted the product. It's on our radar now. Thanks again!
