Notes on the run:
0:26 - I chose not to bind for irkalla and to instead use it after changing sides just because of how much smaller combo dpm is
1:12 - I bound invincibility potions to a key in case I need to tank a check (the potion completely negates any damage from screen cracks)
1:18 - When I feel like an eye should have appeared, I wait around 2 seconds. If the eye still hasn't appeared, it's most likely on the other side (or servers are super laggy)
3:12 - I use Sylvidia a few seconds before the check starts in case I'm on the wrong side and need to tank. It should last through the entire check
3:42 - Make sure your health stays high enough to be able to tank the check, and heal immediately after you see the screen crack. Falling objects sometimes spawn even if you don't hit the eye, and can still kill you before the check ends
5:19 - I intentionally leave a sliver of hp on Will so I can stall out my Sylvidia's cooldown. This could have been done on the next check, but I just felt more comfortable doing it here
8:20 - I start stacking Freud around 30 seconds after Will becomes vulnerable. This way, I can start phase 2 with 30 seconds of invincibility
9:23 - Because this is the last check and Sylvidia will be up before the second crack, I don't need to stall out its cooldown
9:34 - Rebuff because I ran out of 30 minute legion buffs LOL. I also swap on a Restraint 4 to force phase 2 into the first check as soon as possible
10:27 - Freud is up, burst without binding (Will doesn't disappear at all after phase one, so there's no need).
10:59 - I bind in order to stop Will from attacking me while I continue to burst
11:20 - Will's position was horrible, so I waited for him to dash towards the middle so I could attack without worrying about the side webs
12:02 - I got distracted and checked discord -__-
12:16 - I swap out the Restraint 4 for my normal ring; I won't be using it again for the rest of the run
12:58 - I use moonlight before binding for Irkalla. You can't use moonlight during Irkalla, so passive damage from the bullets/spider legs/flying debris can potentially kill you if you can't heal
14:43 - Instead of going directly to phase 3, I stall out all my burst cooldowns
15:03 - I make sure to transition at full health in case I need to tank a white eye attack on entry (sometimes he attacks before you even spawn in)
15:16 - Sylvidia to tank white eye attack
15:25 - I wait for the poison before binding Will for Irkalla. Because the poison doubles damage, I don't need to fully buff (buffing during bind or the poison buff is a huge time sink anyways)
15:47 - I start stacking Freud around 30 seconds after entering phase 3. While you don't have to stack this early, I personally couldn't get to the last stack consistently if I started stacking later, so I chose to play it safe
17:33 - Idiotcedes
17:58 - Again, I wait for poison before binding/Irkalla
18:32 - I erda bind here because there won't be another chance to make good use of it henceforth
19:11 - Webs fill the map and I die. I switch out my Ilium and Ark link skills for Resistance and Xenon links. From this point forward, I simply stall out my burst cooldowns and wait for poisons
20:02 - I take off auto-heal from my pet, since I'll be able to tank longer by healing when I'm actually low health (I meant to do this on my 1st death, but I forgot)
20:14 - I cast Elluel early, despite Irkalla still being on cooldown. Because Elluel lasts over a minute, casting it early causes no issue
20:31 - Res early for the poison and Irkalla. I only use Vicious Shot, because the other buffs take too long and I want to get the most time out of Irkalla as possible
20:44 - I try to use Hero's Will to get a bit more time to attack, but get killed immediately (T_T)
20:50 - I swap out a boost node for Erda's Will in case I need a few more seconds to attack
21:58 - While Irkalla was up, I didn't feel comfortable bursting since Will poisoned late. I just die and wait for the next poison
22:18 - c:
Additional Notes:
Because of how long you stay dead while stalling cooldowns in phase 3, Fatal Strike should coincide perfectly with Irkalla
Stance is invaluable during all of phase 3 and for phase 2 checks, so it's worth bringing a Mihile link over a damage link
For phases 1 and 3, you can ignore most of the weak-hitting attacks and focus more on the 1hkos and moonlight-draining bullets
Special thank you to Will, Liz, Eddie, Adam, Lionel, Cyn, and Titus for door/queue/buff slaving the last 2 days
Literally no one:

Amazing solo.
Do you have a breakdown on what skills you use in your damage rotation for Merc?
Just started watching your videos and it really makes me want to play my Merc more.
I feel like I struggle in my rotations when bossing.
I use the same DPS combo (stunning strikes -> wrath of enlil -> stunning strikes -> unicorn spike -> stunning strikes -> spikes royale -> leap tornado -> gust dive -> repeat) for every boss.
However, you should still be able to stay flexible enough to adjust the combo on the spot for situations where you might otherwise die. Here's some general advice on how to make comboing safer:
1) If it's too dangerous to gust dive during a combo, I replace it with rolling moonsault to stay stationary. This will still give you enough cd reduction to start another combo cycle from wrath of enlil.
2) You know how you normally can't move for 2 seconds after getting hit by a super knockback attack? Comboing completely ignores this hit stun! In addition, because 2 of our 5 super stance attacks are usable in the DPS combo (spikes royale and rolling moonsault) you can time your combo so you get hit during a super stance attack and completely ignore the knockback! You can also improvise and combo into (and out of) aerial barrage if spikes and moonsault are on cd :D
3) It's perfectly okay to stop a combo and switch to ishtar if you need to walk and adjust your position. Just remember where you stopped your combo when you start using ishtar, then just resume the combo from where you left off once you stop moving! You'll do this a lot for bosses where there are falling objects, bullets, or any other hazards (Lotus, Magnus, Gloom, Will, Verus Hilla).
4) You can jump behind/away from a boss while comboing at the same time; just jump in whichever direction, then turn back and start comboing from stunning strikes while you're still in the air (you can also just walk/jump behind with ishtar, it's much more convenient sometimes). This is incredibly useful on bosses like Lotus, Will, and Verus Hilla.
5) Sometimes, the safest place to be during a boss fight is right where the boss is standing. Lightning edge has a debuff that removes touch damage, so it lets you just stand on a boss and jump/walk behind the boss every time it attacks (don't forget you can still attack as you're walking/jumping behind). In other words, you can treat almost every boss like gollux, where you stand right under it and just go in the opposite direction he breathes at.
6) Nimble flight is an incredibly useful tool for making comboing safer. For example, if a boss is about to hit you while you're in the middle of a combo, you can just fly behind it and continue the combo without ever stopping!
In all honesty, practicing is the best way to develop the situational awareness needed to combo for each individual boss, but I hope this at least kind of helps!
Also, if I can give any sort of advice since you're starting to play merc more, it's TOTALLY OKAY to struggle with the combo while you're learning it! You will run into a lot of frustration early on because of how dangerous comboing is, how fragile mercs are, and how clunky our skills seem at first glance (these are the main reasons most people hate merc, and they're totally understandable/valid). However, the beauty of this class is that there's almost always a workaround for nearly every dangerous boss mechanic; you just need to try new things until you find them. The process of learning how to use/exploit all our skills will probably take a long time (even for me, this is still an ongoing process; I still learn new things about merc every once in a while), which might be really frustrating at first, but the feeling of satisfaction you get by figuring out new gimmicks and tricks, then pulling them off in actual bosses, is something you can't really find with any other class on maple!
(mostly copied from my previous replies to the same question, hopefully this still helps :D)
pog! gz!
btw buddy, why your inner is skip and bd? i have 20 boss , 18 crit rate and 18att, should i roll that in Sunday? need advice :p
If you're not going combo heavy, definitely keep those! I personally just keep cd skip for fun, and bd just happened to be what I rolled on my last line c:
*update: I actually just rerolled my first line to Attack Speed, since we're going to get a lot more boss from the new familiar system. My bd line is gone, but I'm still missing a good 3rd line T_T

Deathless until P3.. wow 😱
It's pretty impossible to solo 3th phase without have allot of lives
^ More or less. Though, I'm not sure why I had so many lives left over this run; every practice run where I died early once would have me die out with will having 3-10% left 😅
unsealing BM weapon when :O
When nexon decides to forgive smarty go get one with me >:(
Woooowwww you’re amazing!! Can you please tell me the perfect trinodes for Mercedes? It has so many moves and I’m a little confused
Getting flustered over choosing boost nodes is totally understandable, especially because we start with so few slots.
When you just hit level 200, you first want to focus on ishtar/elemental knights/stunning strikes, then wrath of enlil/spikes royale/unicorn spike for bossing. For mobbing, try for leap tornado/wrath of enlil/spikes royale, since you really only need those for training. However, if you get a leap tornado/rising rush/lightning edge node, save it and use your current training node to level it later when you get more slots(around level 240-250ish, because many skills take precedence over this boost node)
Bread I didn’t think you replied so I didn’t check back to this, but thank you so much!! 😭 you’re honestly my motivation to keep playing maple and to get stronger 💛
