I always thought it was weird that Tails changed from classic to modern in the hub depending on which Sonic you were playing as, but none of the other characters did. I know some characters don’t have classic forms, but Knuckles, Amy, and the Chaotix at least do.
That wouldn't make sense because it was explicitly shown that Classic Sonic and Tails are separate entities to their Modern counterparts and the fact they look different is not canon, is only for us to make the distinction, it's heavily implied several times both Sonics are practically the same to the cast with minor almost unnoticeable differences, there's a reason they made the mirror cutscene, it's so weird to me people still don't get it after all this years i thought it was obvious
@etherealhatred They clearly do notice the difference between classic and modern Sonic, several of them point out that one is shorter and chubbier than the other. But these are the same characters who mistook Shadow for Sonic, so yeah. But I guess what I’m really asking is why the classic versions of the other characters aren’t in this endless void of time and space. Did they even explain how Classic Tails got there? He wasn’t with Sonic in the opening.
