Hi guys, here is a quick tour of my 5 wall clocks, these have not been in service since 2011, but as you can now see? they are all happily running again as if nothing ever happened.
i love those clocks and i collect them also i have some of those battery clocks but they stop chiming i think its something mystic about those chiming clocks.
Cool video man! I am totally blind and have 5 clocks. A Seth Thomas mantle clock with Westminister chimes, a Howard Miller grandfather clock, 2 cuckoos, 1 is a 1 day with music, and the other an 8 day with music with dancers, and an 8 day Elgin bracket clock with hour and half hour strikes.
If you did not know my Seth Thomas 89-AL If you turn it backwards, you will put the striking out of control. That is because it is countwheel controlled striking.
Can anybody give me some history of a (1968/78) Barak brand-pendulum, 31 day wall clocks? I've been searching everywhere online for a similar one to mine but can't find it anywhere.
I think he did not do that to that clock because it is countwheel controlled striking. Plus If you try to turn a clock with a movement like that backwards. You would put the striking out of control.

That last clock is my favourite. Those chimes are loud, like a grandfather clock. Superb!

What does the R A with the downward pointing arrow on the pendulum at 8:16 indicate?
Pendulums like those are typically used in miniature vienna regulator clocks.
How to clean the Dial of the clock ? old paint is coming off......:(

Those are not gongs - they are rods - just saying. Gongs are circular and rods are well rods. Personally I prefer the sound rods make over gongs.
I absolutely *HATE* clocks that are electric that pretend to be a mechanical. The chimes are just awful.
