Wow, it is so good to be back after a LONG TIME watching your channel as I had loads of problems with my Internet AND computer. NOW, it is sorted and I am enjoying again your hard work and see how BIG your girls have grown. Your GARDEN in those raised beds are looking great, all green and lush. You do have great and affordable ideas for poor folks like me to follow and I DO appreciate you so much xxx Blessings and much love to you all xxx Aunt Eli from South Africa (Winter Time here and very cold in my House) xxx

I have been building these hoop houses for several years. I put high grade tarps on them and use them for loose hay storage and animal shelters. I connect mine together for added strength. I overlap 2 squares and tie together with bailing twine. When I get too much snow on them I go out and bounce it off using a 2x4. I use pallets on the sides, or I drive steaks in to hold the with that I want. Using old short fence posts or rebar. I then tie the pannels to the posts. Super easy, fast, and satisfying!

We used the hugelkultur method in our raised bed too!! Wish I knew how to attach a picture but it's doing great... except the squash bugs that are killing our squash plants it's doing wonderfully and we were able to do something with lots of the old branches laying around!

You can also add some sprinkles of Diatomaceous earth to keep flies and rotting smells at zero levels.
Using in your barns after cleaned, you'll never have flies and will be premixed with the pooh. Super garden minerals. 🐐🐑🐇🐓🦃🦚🐂🐎

Just scored quite a few pieces of tin and some old lumber from a neighbor’s old barn. Pallets from the co-op were also free. About all I need to buy are screws and cattle panels. This saved me a lot of money, thank you!

Because of the posts, I am able to do this alone. Hope this info is useful. If you dont connect the hoops to eachother, you will have a sheer factor on the tarps. I tie everything with bailing string. Easy to remove, lasts for years. No wires for dumb cows or goats to somehow swallow. Lol💜 I love watching you with your kids. I am looking forward to my grand children having new little helpers any time now after watching your daughter help you, yes I am getting older now. Still all very doable! God bless you

To anchor a geodesic greenhouse, bury some concrete blocks about a foot or foot and a half down and tie nylon ropes thru them to tie to the geodesic frame.

Why do you need that? They're concrete blocks, you dig a hole, tie a rope through the block, throw it in, cover it up. Several around the perimeter. A truck would have trouble pulling it out. They are called earth anchors.

  • @johnliberty3647

I collect free lumber for coops and such, sometimes I get multiple uses out of them, sometimes I get a years worth of use and I compost it. where you used old metal roofing I would use landscaping fabric but its humid where I live and your beds might need to retain moisture more than my beds do. I have so many better uses for metal roofing material so I try to use it sparingly even when I have it piled up. Sometimes when I even raise Meat Birds in raised beds and constantly throw in bedding and let it build up rapidly. Finish up the meat birds 6 months before spring and boom! compost filled raised garden bed ready for spring.

when jointing your frames were the beams are in a pallets try to hit the maim beam with a framing screw then I think it should not blow over , stabilized is what it needs try putting some wood glue for extra hold on the joining gorilla is the best white glue for wood as it bond to others materials as well when wood is involved, and great vid Gd work

Yeah, corner brackets are handy but 3 inch deck screws work just as well. And with all sides being attached, how are you gonna get in and turn the pile? Too much wood (sticks and especially larger branches) will take much longer to compost down.
I guess the proof will be in the final pudding. Good luck!
