I tend to like British versions better than US versions but I have to say Impractical Jokers US version is way better than this one! I think that it has to do because in the US version Joe, Q, Murr, and Sal are actual friends, they've worked together for a long time, before they created the show, they have chemistry and they know what embarrassed each other, therefore when making the jokes they know what to do to one another to embarrass each other which makes it hilarious!

In an attempt to be unbiased here, the problem boils down to 2 things, in my opinion; this show plays it too safe and the cast doesn't have the same chemistry to carry it. Could they be funny individually? Sure, but that doesn't lend itself to a format that relies on good teamwork between jokers (anyone who understands improv knows how imperative it is to have a good partner). I'm curious to check out season 3 of this variant, supposedly, they changed all of the staff in favor of 4 people who've known each other for 12 years (now why does that sound familiar?). I give the show credit for trying, they know what makes the show works, but it's lacking the heart.

Sure, it's basically Great Value version of the original, lol but if they just made it less obvious on copying certain aspects (Larry/Mickey), and did more interesting challenges, it could be watchable. Usually the U.S. adapts TV show from the UK - reverse on this. Except this really only works when you are life long friends... but good for those guys (Joe, Murr, Q, Sal) - I'm sure they got paid for this airing.
The US version is better because these guys are true friends and aren't just a group of people put together for the show. The video looks like it was done with a security camera. That really affects overall quality. Also, the US version is shown in the UK so why would they repeat what the Jokers have already done?

It’s not like the actual dialogue and script are better in the us version, like the jokes are roughly the same level but the chemistry between jokers, and the jokers themselves are way funnier. I could find myself enjoying this a lot if I had never seen the us impractical jokers, but it pales in comparison and that comparison raises my expectation and clouds my judgement.
While this is obviously isn't as good as the original version, everyone needs to take into account that this is the first episode. No shows are good their first episode. They're uncomfortable, and don't really know what they're doing yet. Also, the original jokers are going to have a huge advantage over anyone trying to replicate them since Murr, Joe, Q, and Sal are long time real life best friends and so have good intimate interpersonal relationships that are, off the camera, a lot like they are in front of the camera.

I'm English and much prefer the US version, they're funnier characters and great guys! Hopefully the BBC in time will actually show the US one as they now own the licensing rights to play the show in the UK :)

abby lovelys Shameless, Fawlty Towers, Life On Mars, Red Dwarf, The IT Crowd, X Factor, Broadchurch. All UK originals which the US attempted to remake and all ended up horribly, so don't act all superior just because ONE British remake isn't quite as good as the original.
They were too nervous. Some parts were funny and some were “utter rubbish” lol. Could be because I’m not fluent in British humor maybe? Then again, I watch Top Gear UK and I find them to be hilarious at times. Looks like the series had a complete lineup change and ended in 2016? I’m not surprised. I remember seeing an episode with the one lineup and I thought they were a lot funnier.
Whilst nowhere near as funny as the US version (still funny in places though), their main issue is they're too self conscious and not willing to embarrass themselves completely - unlike Q, Sal, Murr and the legend that is Joe!

I think their first mistake was having one of the jokers be a woman, the rules are just different for a woman aren't they? They generally wouldn't say some of the stuff the other guys would be willing to and assuming she's willing to say just about anything, there's never any real threat of being punched in the face like there is for the guys if they cross the line in some situations.
As someone not from UK or US and a big fan of the US version, I'd say that this version isn't too bad. I think it's also funny, but I've got problems understanding what they're saying because of the accent. Or maybe it's just the crappy quality of the audio and video here shown at 240p. I need to watch this in HD. But that's after i finish all the Impractical Jokers episodes that have been released until now. Currently watching season 2 and I'm totally hooked!

They were too nervous. Some parts were funny and some were “utter rubbish” lol. Could be because I’m not fluent in British humor maybe? Then again, I watch Top Gear UK and I find them to be hilarious at times. Looks like the series had a complete lineup change and ended in 2016? I’m not surprised. I remember seeing an episode with the one lineup and I thought they were a lot funnier.

Whilst nowhere near as funny as the US version (still funny in places though), their main issue is they're too self conscious and not willing to embarrass themselves completely - unlike Q, Sal, Murr and the legend that is Joe!

yes, but the thing is, that its exactly the same! You should at least have some originality, like changing the name or changing the chalenges (they have the exact same challenges and what they have to say.)
I think their first mistake was having one of the jokers be a woman, the rules are just different for a woman aren't they? They generally wouldn't say some of the stuff the other guys would be willing to and assuming she's willing to say just about anything, there's never any real threat of being punched in the face like there is for the guys if they cross the line in some situations.
This is fucking horrendous. Couldn't even make it through the first 3 minutes. US version actually made me laugh.
The US is not a version, it's the original.
The USA took The Inbetweeners and made a horrendous rip off, so the UK got their revenge and made a hideous rip off of Impractical Jokers.

As someone not from UK or US and a big fan of the US version, I'd say that this version isn't too bad. I think it's also funny, but I've got problems understanding what they're saying because of the accent. Or maybe it's just the crappy quality of the audio and video here shown at 240p. I need to watch this in HD. But that's after i finish all the Impractical Jokers episodes that have been released until now. Currently watching season 2 and I'm totally hooked!

I can’t believe I just heard the girl say, “you want to get inside the trunk,” and it ended. WTH! They’re just puppets. Literally puppets. Not even trying to be entertaining or attempting to create an act separate from Impractical Jokers US. Send them to school. Take improv or comedy classes.
