Maybe British but not Scottish! We always brown our mince first before adding anything else

I’m only 22, but the way you cook is the same way I’ve been taught by my mum and Nana. Good old fashioned, homemade family food! Binge watching your videos as I’m completely obsessed with your meal ideas 😂💕

My dad made it like this I fry the mince and drain and it removes the scum element, you're right though it is tastier made that way, we made it at school all we did was fry the mince with onion veg and seasoning and then mash on top and just had separate gravy that was really tasty as well obviously putting in the oven makes sure the mince is cooked

I just found your channel recently & I’ve been binging. Thanks for converting c to f! We both use cups, I’m in NYC. I love your sweet family & your great garden. You do so much; school, haircuts, great meals, Caravans. Where do you get the energy? I cook like you. I’m about your Mums age. I’m interested to see how you do your Shepherds pie. I can’t believe this video is 5 years old! Lol.

Another great video and another dish I'll be cooking. There is nothing wrong with the supermarket bought pies, but making it yourself is just so satisfying. You're videos have really inspired me to cook for myself and I thankyou for that. I use oxo cubes for Shepard’s pie and I even add a cube to bisto gravy for extra richness.
This is the food I grew up on and we were always healthy and still are, plus we were always slim and had tons of energy.
What’s that quixo gravy like? Always been too scared to try it.

I think it's great you stick to your traditional recipes! Those who question your cooking have nothing better to do. No ones making them watch your videos! So why they take the time out to comment is beyond me. My gran and mum stick a cube in everything so I do the same. Nothing can recreate the flavour. It's all about balance as you said.
Keep up the amazing work. I love your vids and cant wait to try this recipe :) never thought of cooking the meat that way. Looks like it keeps it nice and moist!

Since when has ‘Shepherds pie’ been made with BEEF?
The hint is in the name,
‘Shepherds’ look after sheep, so the meat they use is from a sheep
SHEPHERDS pie is made with Lamb.
What YOU are making is something which is called Cottage Pie ( Don’t ask me why it’s called that) , but it’s made with BEEF.
