- A horde guild on Illidan US server decided to hold a funeral service ingame in a contested area.
They posted all the info on the realm forums and naturally it got crashed.
This is a video of just the crashing, not the huge 400mb video you might have seen some where else.
This does not contain the other pvp content, just the actual crashing.

With the original audio gone, I had to open another window and sync Scatman exactly at the point it would've dropped.

They actual helped her a lot. Now she will be remembered forever I think she will be pleased knowing this . Without this event she would have been forgotten long time ago.

Not really. If anything, it is the guild who raided the funeral will be the ones who will be remembered. The girl is more like the collateral in this story.

Holy shit the original vanilla WoW days will never be repeated. It was truly a fucking amazing experience that can never be had again in modern times.

they made 2 mistakes, one the illidan server was know for drama and big PvP vendetta's there is a reason Illidrama exists, and two they announced it on the forums and told people not to do it.

I think the final words in the chat means the guild do respect the fallen one(She liked fishing,and snow and PvP,Sorry for Your loss).But on the other hand,it's still a bitch,low killing guild considering the ambused players cannot change battlegear from formal in combat.They pick an easy prey.No surpise.

It was done on purpose, set up between SN and who ever had control of her toon. There were other safe areas with snow and fishing. They might as well signed it when at the very end the guy said she loved fishing and snow and PVP. I am sure that if the guest of honor could know what happened, she would laugh until she pee'd herself.
when we had someone in our guild die, we didn't post it up on the forum no matter how sweet and nice we made it sound. To us it was our own personal grief and when we did our memorial to them we kept it "in the guild" which I think is how it should have been done.
they should have done it in a raid instance or something where no one would have bothered them, there are plenty of nice instance backgrounds that would have served as a nice place to set up a memorial

If you have an in-game funeral in contested territory on a pvp server and post all the info on the forums, your asking for this. These people had it coming all the way.

complete surprise attack, unprepared to fight, and a lot of players unequipped their gear for cosmetic only clothing that have no character stats. Was like shooting fish in a barrel, die in just a few hits.

@Calypsythe I don't think they will ever make it 'old school'. The only way Blizzard can make an old school update is if they allowed connections from clients running 1.12.1, or 1.9.4 and had realms set up for just those people.
I forgot all about this. Think I saw it soon after it was released. What happened there was messed up on so many levels, but both parties are at fault. Holding it in PVP territory and asking nicely for nobody to ruin it was just begging for those guys to attack.
Still, it's something to watch, and the music it's set to holds it together.

They accepted the risk by putting it in a contested area. And by posting it online and asking that nobody crash it or "ruin things". I mean, come on, seriously? -.-'

see this happened because they held the funeral on a fucking pvp server and expected thousands of raiders to turn a blind eye. lets say this guild was a group of raiders from fallout (hence why i make the comparison), they were only going by the laws of pvp and for any reason they can attack and kill if they so please. it's the internet, nobody ever has gave a fuck, nobody ever will.

You do realized that whatever you said to that dead hordie who didnt release at the end didn't get it... I'm sure you do, but I would have done an emote... like ./cry or ./golfclap or something like that to twist the knife imo. This is awesome, I play horde, but always up for world pvp of any and all sorts. I'm not talking gay ganking lowbies here, planned raid groups and camping whole cities. Awesome video, was this in retaliation to the horde crashing that wedding?

I know that was mean, but it was also epic, when we die we only live again our human lives in memories, this just makes bigger the memory of that girl, rest in peace and be remembered.

I honestly still don't understand how people still think of these guys as arseholes. Well.. OK, yes they ARE arseholes - but they also made Fayejin the most memorable mage ever. When I die, I hope I'm lucky enough to have something like this happen to me - my mates would get a great laugh out of it, which is what I would want them doing. Who the hell wants everyone being sad and depressed when they die? I was playing WoW when this realeased and I still remember it - that says something.
god that was a fantastic funeral crash. I've done several but never as good as that, especially how they actually had people there and nobody on horde even moved to try and figure out what the fuck was gonna happen.

Don't post an exact time/place/date on a forum that everyone can view. That makes the horde players in this at fault not Serenity Now. They just took the opportunity to get some Honor points.
