- We're headed to Disney World!!! Hang out with us on our 11 hour road trip to Disney! This was such a smooth road trip, and of course we were so excited to check in at Disney's Old Key West! Can't wait to share the rest of this trip!

Oh 1,000% we looked at the menu and made a list of our top items to try for food and wine. I like to be prepared and not waste time since there was a lot we wanted to do.
Ellie is so cute! We have an 8 hour drive this summer to Disney with our 18 month old and I’m prayyyyyinggg it goes smoothly.
Ellie's excitement was us on our 24 hour road trip down to Disney World back in September. We road tripped from Toronto,Ontario Canada. It was a long drive but finally arriving in Disney was golden. Now on to planning our next trip. :)
Ellie's excitement level was off the charts for Disney and Magic Kingdom (love that she differentiates 😂). Not so high for the beach portion. Glad it seemed like such a pleasant drive down for your family. We do plan for dining Always, but we love the signature and character dining. The rides and shows not so much, but we love all the shows and rides so we're usually up for anything at the parks. We do 🧞♂️ plus on MK and DHS days otherwise we don't since they've started the pay service unless it's a holiday.
So my wife and I live just outside Nashville
and we drive to Disney every time. To avoid the traffic of Boro Chattanooga and Atlanta we leave at 8pm and drive overnight to our hotel and stop at Buc-Cee's kids sleep on the ride down and we start our day and enjoy a full day at Disney!
Hotel keeps our bags after check in until our room is ready!!!

Two types of people, the one where you’re less stressed by planning because you are stressed you’ll miss something important.
The other that is stressed by over planning so you prefer to just enjoy the moment and get what you want when you see something you want, and if you miss something, you won’t know anyway so it’s ok.
My wife and I are the same.
I have a lot to say in this video:
1) I am a food planner but I also see Andy’s point of view because then I wouldn’t be disappointed if I wasn’t able to eat something on my list.
2) We love going on Western Way to get into WDW. Find your favorite gate/arch entrance, drop a pin on maps and add it to your itinerary.
3) The day you checked out was our first day at OKW-absolutely loved it. Our 19 month old enjoyed the pool and playground more then Magic Kingdom
4) I would love to hear Andy’s take on Disney-favorite rides, snack, Etc.
Planning is part of the fun for me. My husband just goes with the flow.
I definitely enjoy knowing and will look at menus in advance. It’s exciting!

I took a Disney road trip from Philadelphia to Orlando in November 2000. Many family friends traveled to Disney World for the Millennium celebrations and my parents wanted to see what the fuss was about. We stopped in Florence, SC, at this cheap Holiday Inn. We had Backstreet Boys, NSYNC, and Britney Spears CDs from McDonalds to buy the time.
The family stayed at Wilderness Lodge for 4 nights and checked out all the theme parks in three days. My dad didn't want to drive back, so we took the Auto Train from Sanford, FL, to Lorton, VA. There were a lot of Disney tourists on board Amtrak.

On our Florida road trip at the end of July from Chicago, Tennessee travel time was horrible. Usually, we blink and we’re through Tennessee… but this year it took forever 😮

I like to research menu items, especially for dining reservations. But for festival booths, researching the menus help prioritize what you wanna get! If you buy the whole menu at Japan & get full, but then roll up to France and something sounds sooo good but it's your 1st & last day at Epcot, then you'll miss out on France!
Hate surprises also! You have to know what's out there so you don't miss anything!😅

I saw on another blog that someone bought their kid several inexpensive gifts for a trip and wrapped them. Then they kept them up front with them and hand3d them out like one every hour so the kid had something new to play with. Otherwise they blow through all the activities too fast
I love seeing Ellie’s excitement. She is so adorable. I also like looking at the menus. Usually it is so hot when we go to the festivals that I need a game plan of what I want to eat so my husband doesn’t get as grumpy being out in the heat for it😂

Every time I attend the Festival, I always check the menus ahead of the time. Mostly to see if the areas are allergy friendly. I, like you, don't like a lot of surprises!
We always road trip for us it’s a day and a half 😂 coming from south south Texas. It’s fun family time this time we are stopping in Destin Fl I have two preteens so they sleep for most of the ride.

Hello. I just found your channel and am loving your content. My husband and I are celebrating our 30th anniversary this May. We are also driving though not as far. How much was the toll road if you don’t mind me asking. We heard that it is way less crowded than driving through Orlando. Thanks in advance.
I do tons of research lol. How I look at it is I don’t want to waste time or money on something I won’t like just to see a better option later and regret my decision lol.

I can only remember one time hearing footsteps above us, but other than that, it really felt like we were the only ones in the building! 🙌🏼

Sometimes, myself included, we can be so rigid with screen time. But honestly for us, all 1 hour rules are void for travel. I just want my child and my airplane passengers neighbors to be happy. Watch away.
