A great short film for such a desolate landscape. It really captures those feelings of isolation. There's so much beauty behind its modesty. 3:52 is my favourite
The music is absolutely spot on and adds to the sadness and the vast emptiness of the artic and the eerie winds that blows throughout the lands is very chilling and haunting.
Wolves. The perfect combination of speed, endurance, intelligence, agility, resilience, and superb evolutionary ability, the wolf is an incredible apex predator. I cannot express my love enough for these loving, beautiful, and incredible animals. Go wolves!
my soul is touched by the Arctic. we are so fortunate to have Vincent Munier. Pure, natural beauty elicits the emotions discussed below. that it can exist actually can frighten, because then it might disappear, leaving our touched souls bereft of of the pureness of the perfect sublime.
Such an amazing work. His images give a beautiful sense of indetermination and loneliness, I love the use of soft focus to let the viewer feel so close to the animal, such a stunning place to be. The shots of the water in the end are pure poetry.
I think it’s because of the lack of color. I’d imagine all these animals feel the same as others....it’s knowing, or imagining just how harsh their environment is!
The wonderfully haunting music of this film give it an "Ethereal Quality" which help bring the stunning photographic images to Life in a beautifully Mesmerizing way...it could go on forever, but sadly doesn't. Kudos to both the Photographer, who endured some unbelievably Harsh "Tundra-like" weather but had the forbearance to Withstand it along with the Film-maker, both of whom deserve unending Praise...while creating an unreal Universe, that lasts in your memory, long after its completion. Thanks for creating a little piece of "Shangri-La" for all who have a chance to view this GEM of a short film...OUTSTANDING!!
just because the artic is so cold, it doesn't mean that you have to put a very very sad song into it... but it's pleasure to see this video... I love Nat Geo
I just can't imagine how these animals survived in that kind of places where there no abundance of food and climate is very cold. This truly is magnificent.
What an incredible juxtaposition between such ethereal beauty of the nature of the environment, and how harsh, unforgiving and desolate the environment is. A truly amazing video with incredible images.
+Randall Boughton I think it's because there is an harmony, there is something really strong and humbling with a nature not touch by humans. And we are so deep in our way to live that seeing something so pure touch us in our primitiv self
Magnificent! He really captures the desolation of the landscape and the wildlife. When I look into the wolfs eyes he is seeing through me I feel there is a presence there.
Fabuleuse réalisation technique et artistique sur un territoire hostile pour l'homme mais adapté aux animaux qui y vivent en paix ! Prouesse hors pair de Monsieur Munier qui transcende l'art photographique à son plus haut niveau !
One of the most beautiful wild life videos I've seen in my entire life. The dramatic landscape, its colours, the wild life and even the music & sounds that flow with the images... all was astoning. The way the video was made (the right takes, perfect music, no talking) showed respect and knowledge. Bravo National Geographic...
If you find this beautiful, just remember that it is all disappearing as of this moment, and in a few years time unless action is taken, the animals and landscape you see on this footage will be no more.
the destruction will have a domino effect and end up damaging every eco system on the planet including cities. only thing we can do at this moment is appreciate it while it’s still here.
People self project onto things their own states. Did you know that there are never been as many as polar bears as today? The truth is they are almost overpopulated. Just wake up, and stop being submissive to the narrative of the media. Wake up to the truth.
Watching this made me sad and happy at the same time. Everything about this short film is simply breath taking. I wish it was like 2 hours long. I feel so relaxed. This person deserve an award. Its not easy shooting in extreme cold conditions. Trust me i live in North Canada, Arctic. Nunavut. I wish i knew the location you explored. All the best sir.
I don't know why I almost teared up when I saw the arctic wolves. Not out of sadness but just they're such majestic, dignified and just very very beautiful creatures.
The beautiful images plus soundtrack remind us of our true nature: always trying to survive, always looking for something else, and ultimately alone, ultimately responsible for ourselves.
Breathtaking. Some of the best cinematography and photography I've seen in my life. Just need someone else than Rupert to be funding this. Thanks National Geo. Vince is the man.
Whaou!!
This was so awesome that I had to come look at it again, its breathtaking, just beautiful. Its amazing how resilient Gods creatures are, that they have the instincts to survive, even thrive, in such a place, its just absolutely beautiful
Why no one is talking about the photographer ? It takes so much of efforts, dedication and courage to be in that place.
Love and respect for the photographer
A great short film for such a desolate landscape. It really captures those feelings of isolation. There's so much beauty behind its modesty.

4:10 is my favourite
John snow ghost 🤣🤣😂
I don't know how many times I have watched this video... 4:06 is my favorite shot of them all
The music is absolutely spot on and adds to the sadness and the vast emptiness of the artic and the eerie winds that blows throughout the lands is very chilling and haunting.
Love it!
Stunning photography. Absolutely stunning. We’re sad because humans don’t care. Little by little this environment for arctic animals is disappearing.
Thank you Sir Vincent Munier. You deserve my deep gratitude for your exquisite eye and skill.
One of the best photos and videos that I saw for the long time.
Congratulations and I Hope I'll see more of it. Thanks
I feel blessed for having seen this on screen. Can't imagine how the photographer must have felt.
One of the most beautiful videos I have ever seen! Mind-blowing photography!
He deserves an award!!
definitely 🪙
I really fall in love with this moment of view it's beautiful and absolutely amazing.

I agree with what you're saying. They are one of my top favorite animals. I love them.
....and then you stole his image lol
Dave Andre Bigtas I didn’t steal it buffoon. I use it as my pfp, don’t take credits for the picture, and don’t profit off of it. Have a great day :).
my soul is touched by the Arctic. we are so fortunate to have Vincent Munier. Pure, natural beauty elicits the emotions discussed below. that it can exist actually can frighten, because then it might disappear, leaving our touched souls bereft of of the pureness of the perfect sublime.
Peaceful world !
For the moment..
ending with the open sea was a great comparison and emotion to how baron and harsh the arctic really is, even pain and struggle has much beauty in it
TRUTH EXACTLY that is what nature does
Feel like buying every captured piece of art!
beautiful....i hope they wont be extinct and be seen by generations and more
Such an amazing work. His images give a beautiful sense of indetermination and loneliness, I love the use of soft focus to let the viewer feel so close to the animal, such a stunning place to be. The shots of the water in the end are pure poetry.
Stunning work, so intimate ! I can't help but wonder if they feel lonely, the emotions just hit me in the gut!
ForTheLoveOfCrafts same feelings bro
They are free...
the wolves have their pack. that is all they need. we could learn something from the wolves.
I think it’s because of the lack of color. I’d imagine all these animals feel the same as others....it’s knowing, or imagining just how harsh their environment is!
Oakwilde. You wonder if they have human emotions ? NO there not!
King of nature.... The most beautiful thing living on this planet. Will never ever be able to get enough of them. Ever

I love the fact that there is only music in the background & no talk...Kudos to the video team from NG !!!
Wolf's are just breathtaking. My spirit animal

That's perfect, I mean, none narrator annoying voice. Just Pure Nature.

+heyitsbee me too. That's why my wife makes me so depressed.
I watch this video whenever I feel lonely. This is where I want to be, all by myself.
This is the best video on TH-cam, ever.
the fact that there's really no talking in this video makes it that much more powerful. IMO at least.
Magnificent! He really captures the desolation of the landscape and the wildlife. When I look into the wolfs eyes he is seeing through me I feel there is a presence there.
Absolutely beautiful and breathtaking. Please protect these majestic animals from extinction. Thank you for sharing!
A land for being a harsh environment, of which is my homeland. To the photographer, thank for capturing my true land.
there is no words to describe this video work ....thank you
This has so many emotions , throughout the entire video I felt sad/happy/confused it’s beautiful
WOW STUNNING !!
Even if it's white everywhere it's still beautiful 🙂
cause who wants to see black
XDkont no because normally the most beautiful scenery is colorful.
Youre so deep...

Truly Amazing film!
My bones chilled just looking at the snow and the blistering wind.
This video gives such a surreal feeling, almost like its on another planet.

Prouesse hors pair de Monsieur Munier qui transcende l'art photographique à son plus haut niveau !
So breathtaking. Amazement and melancholy just rise to the surface for me. It makes me feel what Damien Rice’s “Grey Room” makes me feel.
Vincent is my favorite wildlife photographer. He is so unique and engaged. Absolutely stunning!
This might have been the single most beautiful thing that i have ever seen.
No words good enough for description of feelings while watching this...
I can feel the emotion coming through. To me, it feels peaceful and dangerous at the same time. This video makes me want to photograph nature.
WOWOWOWOWOW I cried when the wolves came jogging into view. I felt profoundly connected with them.
These pictures are beyond amazing! Would almost say perfect for the situation at hand. Wow
Beautiful, stunning and magical scenes and photographs!!

Exceptionnel.....quel artiste ! C'est tout simplement magnifique
The story of this photographer is amazing, he spent 8 years trying to meet them and it was a dream of his life.
Animals have always been one of my favourite thing to see. They are always so beautiful in their natural habitat.
When I grow up, I am definitely gonna go in the far north and photograph all its natural beauty.
yogeshwar gupta shut the hell up, no you won't
you shut up... how can u even think, that you can change his mind and imaginations.. ay ay ay we dont need humans like you.
Start saving😂😂😂 I am already
I prefer u not to.. northern hemisphere is full of wonders and very sensitive towards humans activity. I prefer to leave them the way it is.
That's if it's not melted by then. :0

Stunning. I realised at some parts i was holding my breath.
