    One correction It was the most expensive sight on the market until UV slider came out!

    I bought one and had serious buyers remorse after the initial cool factor wore off, but was past the 30 days return time. Bought the HHA and put the UV3 on it. You can tell the HHA/UV3 is a much more precise setup. Pretty much Dialed took HHA's concepts but didn't pull it off as well.

      Great review bro,I bought one and had to send it back to get all tightened up it's great now but I thought they were gonna bring the pins down from the top with the bubble but I am happy but will see what happens with time here but I'm probably goña put a hha double pin head on the dialed myself

    Absolutely love this sight. I feel some of Chris’s gripes are simply because he’s shot basically everything out there. I’ve got zero gripes about it. Although I didn’t get the Dialed scope. I paired my Arxos with a UV3XL.

    I have the 3 pin Arxos sight . The only 2 negative points i can say about the sight are that if you go with the smallest fiber it can be dim at times(but the company is rectifying this by coming out with a light that works with existing scope)and the the second and third pin adjustable indicators are to far away from sight tape. Otherwise this sight is outstanding. Most of the original shortcomings have already been addressed. If you have the money and are interested in the Arxos i would definitely recommend . PS I own the ambush green phase4 and the ambush green equivalent sight and the colors are matched perfectly.

    There is literally nothing you can say about this product to justify the price. Not one single thing. I have a spot Hogg with an Ultraview scope. And those 2 components together are still cheaper than this. “It looks really cool” 😂

    • @ETHAN_STRENN
      @ETHAN_STRENN ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It’s cheaper if you get the sight with no scope and get an ultra view scope. I did that and it was the same price that I would of had to pay for a HHA tetra max

  • @TheeGentleman

    Great video. I love the innovations Dialed is making. If they make a few more product improvements they could take over the high end sight market. Heck with a couple more improvements I would pick one up.
    •more visible sight tape pins
    •move pins closer to sight tape
    •make a fiber optic slider compatible with a standard UV fiber rheostat lights
    •fiber optic slider too loose
    •more pins on a taller single vertical post configuration why not 5 or 7 (4 quick shoots in dense woods)

  • @RudyHassallPMP
    @RudyHassallPMP ปีที่แล้ว

    Chris, great review!
    You can increase the VOID tension which reduces the ability of the scope moving up and down.
    Then when you apply the "brake" as it is not a hard stop (by design in the event you need to move it in the heat of the moment hunting) and this tension makes it extremely difficult to move the scope vertically.

    I own this sight. Bought it when it came out. I switched from a fast Eddie. I liked it. It’s been simple straight forward and I definitely improved my groups all the way out to 90 yards. That said I definitely agree with just about every gripe he’s got. They’ve got the Prüf they just dropped. Curious about that. But it’s even more expensive. But so is ultra view and some other high end sights.

    Totally unrelated…. Have a question about helical. I put 3” x vanes on helical on rip xv arrows running around 340grains with 120 up front. What do you think of helical on light( or any weight) arrow…..for distance, say 80,100,120 yards? Have you tested this ? Or just found something else that worked great and stuck to it?

    Definitely the most robust sight, i have the Arxos, spott hogg and black gold. If push comes to shove and only could have one sight the Arxos would be it. It looks confusing but it’s really simple to set up, if you watch their TH-cam videos or call them they will talk you through it. The biggest thing for me is that with their single pin post design you can see it your torquing your bow because the pin isn’t slim.

    Good review!
    Although Watching the “how to sight” Arxos video, I think Chris sighted it in wrong. In the “how to video” it’s recommended to sight in at multiple distances to get a more accurate sight tape suggestion. Chris only did 2 distances.
    Also I believe that for the test tape , you’re supposed to start at the first hash and as you adjust to get to 20 yards you mark that on the card. As you sight in at different distances you mark that on the card. Once you get a bunch of distances marked, then line up the card to the sight tape that matches closest to the marks you gathered.

    Nice in depth review, it seems that the initial launch was a bit of a flop. Big time hunters were very critical of this sight but now you see several lower tier influencers really pushing this sight saying it’s the best thing ever. I want to like them because of how aesthetically pleasing they are but can’t justify the $500 price tag at this model when my tetra is an all around better sight.

I am 100 percent happy with it quick, simple, built like a tank and in my opinion there isn’t a better looking site out there! But most of all it doesn’t have a million nuts, bolts and fancy gadgets! It’s a plain old performer and I shoot my best with this site! All I can say is different strokes for different folks! Also u r supposed to use the white line indicating mark as your 1st yardage and then the silver pins!

      @caninphx ปีที่แล้ว +2

  • @officerfoxtrot3633
    @officerfoxtrot3633 ปีที่แล้ว +6

    Chris is heavily involved with Ultraview, a sight company, and the direct competition as a high end scope housing. Just a disclaimer.
    While I appreciate his attempt at an unbiased review, I don’t believe it was unbiased. A couple reasons: The locking pin the keeps the sight from moving on its own was specifically designed to be override able in the event of a lot of pressure. It was believed that if you attempted to really twist the sight locked down or dropped it, that pin failing would be a lot less problematic than it being stripped out. The pin is fixable, a stripped housing is not.
    Second, most people were gaining 15-25 or more yards with the lower secondary pin fiber and the angled rail. I have seen slower setups than his reach out to 140 with one and the second fiber, so it doesn’t make sense his wouldn’t be able to pass 115. Heck, I’m shooting 220 fps with a 718 grain arrow on a Spott Hogg Fast Eddie Xl 2 pin and I can hit 92 with my bottom pin. His should be much farther than that.
    Just a couple things I noticed right away.

    • @caninphx
      @caninphx ปีที่แล้ว

      So he was referring to his top pin for yardage gained. The angled rail does minimal to gain yardage, maybe 5 yds. The lower pin adds maybe 30yds at most depending on bow speed. Mine is 315fps and I gained 6yds on this sight with my ctr pin. The lower pin was useless as it’s to far of a gap. To gap shoot. It’s a long home at tac events pin only.
      He was fairly accurate in his assessment of the sight. It has a long way to go before it can justify that cost.
      I’ve owned and returned mine after 28 days due to a host of problems with the sight.

    • @officerfoxtrot3633
      @officerfoxtrot3633 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@caninphx so, the sight performance isn’t just based off the angled rail. It’s also based off the lowest intentional aim point. The reasons they put the bubble up top was for distanced gained and for peripheral vision while shooting. Thus, increasing your yardage. Wether you use the top or bottom pin, it still increases your yardage by 20-40 yards to other comparable sights. To say it doesn’t, without mentioning the bottom pin or specifying your only speaking about the center pin, is disingenuous.
      I’ve watched the interviews with the Dialed Archery guys and they said it’s intended to be a single pin sight with a secondary aim point for the long distance. The gap is large because it’s not intended to be used for gap shooting.
      I’d be interested to hear of some of the problems you encountered. I know the earliest prototypes didn’t have locking nail screws and several of the other modifications they’ve made after receiving public feedback.

    Great review I was gonna consider trying it til I seen the pins were nonadjustable for a moving sight at that price range it should definitely have that specific feature imo thats why I went with the redline torch loving it so far

      I love your channel but sometimes I wish you would research the products you review more then just a look at it, your opinion is valuable so your take on it is nice but sometimes I just wish you had read the instructions at least.

      The pins aren't adjustable, but the indicators are. The pin gap is fixed, so you'll have whatever yardage as that pin gap. For a single pin it works great and makes a lot of sense. Whether the multi pin works for you depends on where or how you hunt, but I personally don't see an issue with it.

    So...by bringing your scope closer to the riser its gonna give you more distance?!
    Maybe from target an inch by bringing it closer to riser by an inch....lol
    A rifle for instance is more precise at distance because your iron sights are further apart then with a handgun....
    The further apart the rear sight is from front sight you will get a more precise shot on target then if they are closer together like the handgun.
    As for a bow, I don't see how bringing your front sight closer to the riser does anything either then maaaaybe A hair stabler...and in bring it what an inch or less closer to the peep sight?
    But ...I just don't know

    is that 115 to the top pin or the bottom?

    What I’m hearing here is “ over priced for an Ok sight”. For being a start up they should be cheaper to build their reputation. Trying to come in at the high end is a bit ridiculous

    What jig was that for your second and third axis adjustments?

    • @Jonesboy2398
      @Jonesboy2398 ปีที่แล้ว

      An inaccurate way to level a sight to YOUR bow. Basically you want your peep directly above the back of your arrow and set your first axis to this (then match your second axis with your first), where your cams are located between your limbs and cam lean can affect the vertical position of your string in relationship to your riser, this jig basically makes your sight square to the riser which really has no basis for anything. Then when it comes to third axis your cable guard pulls slightly to the side of your limbs and will make your riser pivot at full draw on top of any potential torque you are applying to the grip, so yeah to anyone seeing this. Buy the hamskea 3rd axis tool and a string level so you can level your sight the correct way.

      @@Jonesboy2398 cool so you've used the jig and checked the results once installed on your bow right? If you're going to take the time to tell me how to level my sight to my bow, like I have been doing for the better part of the last 20 years now, I'd have to assume you have already tried the jig right...

    Us hunters are the prey, and are being hunted by the hunting industry nowadays… nothing is reasonably priced
