Can someone explain why Maximus used his goblin welder to give Micah back his Eldrazi Monument, not just once but apparently twice? At 7:30, I get it as a team-up move to counter the two decks popping off. But then Maximus apparently did it again at 10:30, when Micah really didn't need any help. (This one also slipped through the narration)
Weird game with some interesting choices. Micah kind of got some things gift wrapped for him but that is how the exhume/eldrazi monument/rector crumbles.
I swear I keep seeing Ratadrabik videos and he impresses the crap out of me every time. Might be time to build one. I was wondering why he had Burakos in there as one option, then I realized that if you're doing graveyard loops like that, you can easily get 2 or more of them in play at once, which can be disgusting with those on-attack triggers, and that's not even looking at the other cards in the deck.
He's my first and only commander atm, and I've been enjoying the shenanigans thus far. There's honestly no better time to build him with all the legend-focused cards in the new LOTR set. I also highly recommend getting ur hands on both Gandalf the White and Elesh Norn // Argent Etchings as I expect their prices to rise very soon. Hope this helps, and if you wanna brainstorm a deck sometime, I'd be open to discussion :)
@@engma5151 oh for sure! I can see Gandalf and Norn doing particularly well in this build! I'll see if I can hop on those this weekend! I think from the video I could already see the infinite indestructibility Bormor would provide (Sac him, make your token copy legendary with the ring temptation trigger, then just repeat each time anything would die). This is getting the deckbuilding juices flowing!

I feel like Kevin/Ratadrabik was sandbagging (or just made weird choices of what to tutor for with the multiple Sidisi exploits). Only incarnation technique and exhume the turn after? Not to mention that it put a Yasharn on the battlefield XD

i was pleasantly surprised that Kess wasn't the winning deck only because Exhume does it's thing and backfires. But thanks to the mill player. Ironic that.
I'm not sure if I missed something, but why did Muddstah destroy the Eldrazi monument instead of Defense of the heart with his mutate trigger that destroys noncreature permanents? 🤣
Maan. Otrimi win robbed by boring ass defense of the heart grabbing purphoros. Also, pretty sure Max spite playing out of embarrasment helping micah to end his suffering.

Because the creature with exploit isn’t on the battlefield, its other triggered ability won’t trigger." This rules text is a little confusing, cause you're saccing the creature. I swear I've had it not work on Arena. But that could just be Arena.

If it wasn't for Muddstah, I wouldn't have even known about mutate deck and it's by far the most fun deck I've played
I always wanted to play Otrimi. Never managed to make a build that works. Really looking forward to that list Muddstah!

Ratadrabik is so silly. Giving him Myriad is the kind of fractal bullshit usually reserved for simic.

Love mutate. Ikoria is my favorite set and I just changed my ramos mutate to a niv miz mutate. Thanks for getting me into it, Andrew!

Ramos became Otrimi. I lost some of the mutates, but got to focus it a bit more and add some fun tech instead.

side note the path to exile should've also exiled Ivy as when Micah cast it targeting the scute stack Ivy would've copied it targeting herself

defense of the heart cant trigger with yasharn out. It affects all players with sacrificing permanents not just opponents
It's a triggered abilitiy, condition happens, Defense is sacrificed. Yasharn only prevents sacrificing to pay costs for spells/abilities.
Exploit doesn't give you the effect if you sac the creature with Exploit. It has the be on the battlefield for the trigger to resolve.
