An incredibly good option for those who missed the Legends 80th Hulk v Wolverine one. Sadly, I don't think this is a necessary option for those who have that one... I don't really care about the butterfly joints, they don't really achieve anything, but, the headsculpt is just off to me, especially since it's not the real "Immortal Hulk", it just looks like an average screaming Savage Hulk, which is fine, but, idk, just looks odd. The real Devil/Immortal Hulk has red eyes, shorter hair, and a more deranged psychopathic look. Both Select and Legends have yet to bring us a definitive Hulk headsculpt imo.
I am just carsing why they don't give us a normal closed mouth head.

Immortal hulk had a few different looks depending on who’s at the wheel of the hulk, your thinking more of devil hulks look from immoral hulk

@@reachova2times162 no not drawing it depends on who’s DRIVING at the time, Bruce banner has multiple personality disorder and devil hulk is one of those personalities so is savage, joe fixit and a few others, and they all have different looks
Well what I'm saying is that most of the time when people think Immortal Hulk, people immediately think of Devil Hulk in their mind's eye and not savage Hulk

Marvel select is the best company for big figs that don't cost $100 or more .
I mean this is a great figure overall, but it really puts the Hasbro to shame I have to say. I shelled out 40-sum dollars for gray hulk only to discover that he had tiny, flimsy pegs which seemed apt to be twisted off, had barely any paint, and the sculpt was as bare bones as they come. Enter marvel select now, with beauties like gladiator Hulk (which I just got finally after missing it the first time), and this guy which has yet to arrive, and from what I've seen of this one, they both have better detail, paint and sculpting, for cheaper than the legends figure. And they're made of studier plastic. Ridiculous.
Honestly, Diamond select is really good at huge and muscle detail action figure that Hasbro can't beyond on it.
The only ugly thing about this Hulk is his Head wtf is that Head he looks crazily awful.
I like the country sounding music at the beginning 🤠 pop music not so much, as I'm a huge country fan and comic book fan of course

Wish I knew about this fig coming out before I bought the legends hulk/wolverine 2 pack, the legends hulk is a good fig but not for $60 since I didn't want the wolverine. The select looks amazing 🤙
Sure, I still not buy the legends 2 pack version yet. Only have the red hulk which is used the same body mold.

The 12 inch Marvel Legends Wolverine with 3 heads is an incredible figure. Highly recommend you check it out.

I don’t know how Diamond select managed to make the screaming head sculpt look so stupid in the promo pictures because it looks fantastic here. One of the best hulk heads I’ve ever seen. Plus this Hulk is giant. I’ll definitely be picking this guy up.

Excellent review, loved it from start to finish. Very comprehensive, background movie was GREAT. Was initially going to pass on this figure but definitely not after this review! May end up being my favorite Hulk figure in my collection even though it's start a more "traditional" interpretation of the Hulk. It's too bad Diamond Select doesn't have other figures this well-articulated as he doesn't really scale well with any of the Marvel Legends.
Prepare to preorder two more for custom or collection.

Got one coming in the mail! I love this sculpt, very similar to the 2-Pack 1st appearance HULK; but so much bigger and the head sculpt is fantastic!

This looks great but the only area it beats the 80th Hulk in is paint details. The Legends Hulk has better articulation, scale, and head sculpt. While he won’t be the king I’m still super excited to get this guy for my Cosmic Hulk, I’m okay with him being too big!

The head and body sculpture detail really much better than the legends one in physical. But other than that, especially the articulation, the legends Hulk sure win.
@@articulationtest8803 I don’t like head as much. The eyes are to beady and he’s screaming. This should’ve come with a more neutral head swap.
Marcellus, I don't think that the comparison slants in the Legends favor quite as much as you do. Sure, the articulation is better on the Legends; it has more points of articulation and greater range for the points that they share (outside of maybe the diaphragm joint), but I think that the sculpt and proportions are much better on the Select. I love my 80th Hulk, but his deltoid/trapezoid section, wrist to hand ratio, and feet always bothered me. The heads are even more subjective. I agree that the relaxed expression on the Legends figure allows for more display options, but I really like how expressive the Select sculpt is. It's as if he is out of his mind with rage. With all that said, I'd think that he'd (Select Hulk) work really well in an everyone vs. Hulk ACBA display.
@@Doctopian I do think it’s close but ultimately the 80th Hulk will get more mileage for displays. Since the Select has less articulation and a single full rage head you won’t get as many options for pics and set ups.
Then the scale is an issue. Being 9.75 inches will make him tower over figures like Red Hulk, any Legends Abomination.
But both are dope figures. I’m definitely buying the Select too.
@@rulyarmaghetto The scale is definitely in the 80th Anniversary figure's favor relative to other larger figures. You don't want a Hulk that towers over Abomination, Rulk, and Juggernaut. I have the Select version of those three, but due to the wildly different styles of each of them, they just wouldn't work with this newer Select Hulk.
I also agree about the overall mileage a natural head sculpt gives you.

It has pretty much the same amount of articulation the Legends has but I definitely like the Select proportions and size... Also it doesn't looks shiny, I prefer the matte green on the Select Hulk...
Maybe I still should get this and sell the Legends one? I don't know, lol.
I'm the same ...bit too similar to the Legends one but glad it's more matte at least. Wished it was a slightly darker green - that'd clinch it for me.

Articulation is very good for a sculpt that doesn't have large joint spaces. The robot head is great!
In my perspective a good action figure does not equal to have high articulation

Remember that hulk has always varied in size over the years and depending on how you display your figures this could be a better choice to stand in the back and be more visible

He looks high and droopy eyed but sculpt is the best so far and the size says Big Green! Id really enjoy a World Breaker w/ this sculpt w/o Marvel Legends cheesy

Awww. Hulk looks too stiff. Limited articulation again, same old Marvel Select. The main head looks meh, the alternate head looks dope though. Great for vanilla posing display I guess.
