Lutherstadt Wittenberg is a liveable and modern city. Luckily, it was largely spared from the war and socialist urban redevelopment. The whole charm remained unchanged. It is a place where living, working and enjoying life still harmoniously coincide today.
Open streams flow through the city center, shady old town courtyards offer the perfect retreat for conversations or reading on hot days, not only tourists stroll through the streets, but also the graduates and participants of the Evangelical Preacher Seminar, the Colleg Wittenberg, the Leucorea, the Wittenberg Center for Global ethics or other training institutions - in short: Lutherstadt Wittenberg has remained an educated city in the best sense of the word.

Wow. Awesome. I've always wanted to see the middle of Germany as well as the old towns with rich history and culture. The Lutheran and protestant reformation really changed Europe historically.
