As great as Ayinla Omowura was in his lifetime, it was after his demise that the elite and the establishment realised what a gem he actually was. Although he was spinning out hits after hits yet he was regarded as playing music fit only for 'eleran' and 'agbero'. Thank God that has changed and generations that were not born in 1980 when he passed have come to know and appreciate the man and his music.
Reminds me of the '70's in Isale Eko Lagos. Ayinla, Orlando Owoh, Theophilous Iwalokun, Salami Balogun Lefty, Yusuf Olatunji, Saka Olayigbade, were my favorites. But Ayinla topped them all. Thanks for posting.
How I wish I can get the video recordings of Omowura's live performance on stage because his songs and lyrincs are all epitome of yoruba legacy. Anigilaje Ayinla ara ijamo omo epo pon roro aja aro dede continue to rest in peace

@@juwe9516 I’m good. I will not be judged based on not hearing the lyrics from one single and overdubbed song.
@@megavisceo1371 Thank you for the clarification. I couldn’t quite hear it. I was at his gravesite and memorial early last year.
