The house is so interesting! Love the courtyard in the center. It’s neat to see the different rooms of Christmas decorations separated by different points in history. Very cool! ❤
It’s a fascinating survival ☺️ I cover the history in a separate video (I think I linked to it in the description 🤔) but couldn’t resist a return visit when I found out they were decorating for Christmas as it’s the first time since 2019! I liked the way they displayed Christmas through the ages too, was a good theme for this house ☺️
I love this video with the history of British Christmas. I paused the videos to read the signs. I know that the Christmas tree originated in Germany but it was fun to know how it came to be part of the British tradition.
Ooh definitely go pay a visit if you can! You don’t even need to spend too long there, a couple of hours is more than enough so won’t take up your whole day ☺️🎄✨ Have a lovely day and catch you later for a visit around Chatsworth! X
It’s a fantastic survival ❤️ When I found out that they would be having Christmas decorations for the first time in 3 years I couldn’t resist a return visit. A much more simple display that some of the other houses I’ve shared but beautiful all the same ❤️
Glad you took us back there, it felt a bit like being allowed to wander around a theatrical stage set of yesteryear, with the most perfect Christmas displays trying to be faithful to Tudor times. It is indeed good to dwell on the evolution of Christmas, but we should not be too critical of modern commercialism, when in reality, human nature makes us behave in a similar way , given greater wealth and availability of goods to acquire and lust for. Even today, there is plenty of genuine love exchanged at this time of the year.
Pleased you enjoyed seeing it with its festive attire 🥰 I think you’re right, no matter the way we celebrate Christmas, the spirit of this time of year is always the same ❤️🙏
Hallo, I am new to your channel and I love it a lot. History is fascinating and you in Engeland are blessed with a lot of historical buildings that go far back in time. So I will watch your video's and greatly enjoy them. Thank you so much for sharing this. Greetings from Holland 💟🌷🇾🇪
Hi Rita, thanks for being here! I’m a huge lover of history so I’m glad to hear you find it fascinating to learn from too ☺️ You’re right, we’re definitely spoilt with lots of historical properties here on this tiny island! I hope you enjoy the rest of the videos. Today will be a tour around the magnificent Chatsworth house 😍🎄
Thanks for another great video Stacy, it's been a while since I was there. Its amazing how it has survived for such a long time as most of it is made of wood. Say Hi to Heidi, her photography in the last vlog was brilliant. She is a future television star, she has the confidence too.
So glad you’ve enjoyed it 🥰 When I read that they would be putting up decorations this year after the last few years of it being shut, I couldn’t resist a visit to take a peek. It always amazes me how places like this still survive to this day 😍 I shall say hi as soon as I pick her up from school and let her know what you’ve said 🙏
Your vlogs always calm me, make me feel I'm actually there travelling with you, seeing the sights.
Such a beautiful and tranquil place & relaxing music adds more to its beauty
It’s such a gem! Thank you for joining me on this return visit to see the decorations ☺️🎄
What a charming winky wonky house 😍
Looking even more lovely with their Christmas decorations 🥰
