Hey bro thanks for this video. I’m also studying master of biotechnology and bioinformatics at Deakin university, Australia. I’m very happy after seeing your video about our field. Very helpful to get information about Canadian biotechnology universities.
Hey Ramis, Just watched your video on the Master's in Biotechnology - super informative! I'm currently majoring in Quantitative Biology and Cell and Molecular Biology at U of T, with a focus on biotech and plant genomics. Thinking about a Master's in Biotech Management and Business, but most programs seem pharma-centric. Are my majors a good fit, or should I consider changes? Also, I'm more into biofuels and diverse biotech industries - are these programs flexible enough? Would love your quick thoughts!
Thanks for this information, plz make such more videos about : 1-other college/univ. Options for international students with average marks. 2- plz cover some options for those who can't afford much. 3- process n requirements
Hi Sakshi, unfortunately, I don't have enough knowledge about other similar programs and so I am not able to create videos for them. If you're an international student, I would assume that most programs in North America would be very costly for you due to the international student tuition rates. Perhaps there are options in your country of origin? If you're a Canadian student, however, I would say the MBiotech program is the most practical program from an economic standpoint. Please visit the program website(s) for the most up to date processes and requirements! Thanks for your comment.

Hey thanks for the video very helpful! I just wanted to ask you did u apply for the scholarships while u were still in the application process or after u got accepted?
Thanks Jasmin! Which scholarships are you referring to, specifically? I recall that I mentioned OSAP in the video, which is money from the government that you could apply for before starting the program but after being accepted (as you need an acceptance letter to prove you'll be going to school - alternatively, you may be required to wait until you start the program and can obtain a proof of enrolment document to show you're actually in school already). I hope this helps, let me know if you were referring to something else. Cheers

Hi Jasleen! Thanks for your comment. Are you a Canadian graduate? If so, you may have a shot. If you're an international student, your chances may be slimmer because international students typically have to have higher grades to compete for a spot.
I do not have information regarding the admission requirements of other Biotechnology programs, but typically an 80%+ is a safe place to be. Don't get discouraged though, anything is possible. To get a more accurate answer, I would email each program individually to ask them about your candidacy.

Hi Divyesh, I am not sure about this but I assume that to land a job in Canada you would require approval for a work visa from the Canadian government. Can you please suggest some universities which are good for doing Masters in Biotechnology? Please name some University where tuition fee is not that high for international students.
Hey Fariya, I think the correct program for you depends on your objectives. Some programs are more geared towards research and science, while others are more focused on business. I do not have a lot of information about biotechnology programs aside from the one I completed, sorry! If you're looking for cheaper programs, I think Canada is the way to go - I believe the US would charge far more for a degree.

Hello, I am a 2nd year student in Majoring In Biochemistry, I was interested in mbiotech and came across ur video which further increased my interest. Do u have any suggestions of courses that I could take to make myself a better candidate for the program? Your answer is much appreciated.
If there's courses in biotechnology, that would be helpful. Otherwise, as long as the courses are science-related and you've achieved high grades, that should be sufficient.

Hi, Thanks for your detailed authentic information which didn’t get in any other video before! Can you please share me details about (course based) masters in medical biotechnology course details? I am from medical background (BDS) bachelor of dental surgery, and also tell more about job career of related field.
Morning! Thanks for the kind words. The courses in the program are essentially business and science courses. I would highly recommend you visit the program website for the specific course titles so that you get an idea of the specific topics we learn about. The courses are quite interesting and team-based work is emphasized. As for the job market, virtually everyone in the program obtains an internship, but people's individual success after the internship really depends on their drive/skillset/networking and serendipity. That being said, almost everyone is working a respectable job in the pharmaceutical/biotechnology industry after the program. Some people have gone on to do incredible things at a global head-office level of major pharmaceutical companies. You are in control of your success after the program, but the program will give you a fantastic stepping stone into the industry!

You can also apply for master no problem if your cgpa is low. Many other things are also seen when you are applying for admission like Your GRE score, ilets score , SOP and many other things.
Hi Prateek, Sometimes, but from what I've seen students are typically offered a contract extension for another 12 months (after the completion of the internship) before the company offers them a full-time role. In Canada, an organization can keep an individual on contract for up to 24 months before a) having to hire them permanently or b) let them go.
The McGill program's internships are shorter and focused more on research and lab work. The M.Biotech internships are longer and are in the corporate pharmaceutical industry. The program that is more in line with your ambitions is the program you should strive for. Cheers My source for McGill's program information: www.mcgill.ca/gradapplicants/biotechnology
Hey Georges, I am not too sure but I know that Australia offers a lot of educational opportunities for international students. I think it depends on what you are looking to get out of the program. If you're interested in working in the industry, then you should prioritize a program that will give you that co-op experience. If you're looking to get more heavily involved in research, you should find a program with a strong reputation for research output, etc.

I want to do a job in the pharmaceutical industry in Canada. I had 1 year of experience in a pharma company in India. please give appropriate advice to me.
Hi Arjun, I do not know a lot about the Conestoga program, so I cannot comment on this. You should research the graduates of the program and what they are doing now, so that you have a better idea of how the program will help you. I hope that helps!
Thank you very much for this, you touched on almost all the questions I had. I’ve been reading about this from University of Toronto’s website and will be applying for the May, 2021 entry. I want to find out if knowledge in Business is required for admission? Also, what GRE scores should I be targeting. What are the chances for an international student to get accepted? Looking forward to your video on how to prepare for the interview.
Hi Vanessa, Thanks for your comment and for subscribing. Business knowledge is not explicitly required for admission. However, the Master of Biotechnology program is somewhat like a mix between an MBA and an MSc., so you are expected to have an interest in both business and science (and this is something worth touching upon in your interview). I am not sure about the GRE scores, but this may be on the program's website; let me know if you're unable to find it. In the Class of 2020, we had 1 international student. I believe that a lot of international students do not apply to the program (self-selection), which is why there are so few international students. I wish you the best of luck in your application! Thanks.
Thanks Joanne! Yes, this is something I have heard requested from others, as well. I plan to create my next TH-cam video around this topic. Thanks for subscribing. Cheers, Ramis

Yes, the fee for international students is roughly double the fee for domestic students.

Hello Sir,
I have completed my b.tech biotechnology in India i came to Canada for doing masters in biotechnology ..... please suggest me college and university????
Veere without maths(bio, physics, chem) is it possible to get addmission in bsc biotecnology in Canada...????
Only for Bsc not Btech
@@vedajyo653 means I can't get add.in bsc biotec bz I'm without maths(medical student)😊😊
I completed my B.sc in chemistry and I want to do my M.sc chemistry in Canada. Is it a good option ?,what is the job scenario for chemistry field?
Personally, I am not sure what the job market looks like for chemists in Canada at this time, but I would recommend looking into it! It's always possible for you to earn a degree in Canada and land a job in your home country.
@@ramisnazir678 Thank you so much for replying. Actually I have been looking for university which provides biotechnology. But there were all biology instead. That's why I asked you 😅
However, your suggestion makes everything easy.
@@fariyaakter6144 I wish you the best of luck!

How about doing mba in agribusiness management?

Please make further videos especially for digital field.
Hi Noor,
Unfortunately, I don't have much knowledge about the digital field and do not feel comfortable making a video on the topic at the moment.
Cheers,
Ramis
Thanku for this video...Am bsc biotechnology student in India...and aftr that am just confused what next.
Also I wanna know after bsc in biotechnology...is this program helpful and the interships aftr
Hi Sneha, the program is definitely helpful but I would take some time to research what else is possible with your degree! There's a lot of different things you can do after your bachelor's degree.
@@ramisnazir678 okay, thank u for ur reply... waiting for ur nxt video of this contents.
Helloo Dii , hope you are well and doing great. I am a 12th (20-21) student nd after my 12th wanna take Biotech so will it be better to choose b.tech or bsc from this field I am very much confused plsss reply it will be a great help...😄
Hey I'm from India. Right now I'm in class 12 . I planning to do bsc biotechnology Hons from Amity university and then masters in biotechnology from U.K. Can u please tell me if I'm making a correct decision. I mean will all these investments help me to get a high salary job?????
I would connect with people who have completed the Masters in Biotechnology from the UK and ask them about the earning potential after completing the program.
Iam studying biotechnology in india , planning to persue msc in pharmaceutical genetics do u know about that? Much?
Hello. Found this video very helpful. Thank you so much.
Could you please find out and let us know the criteria for eligibility for international students?
I believe there's an additional English test you have to take, but I would take a look at the program's website or contact them directly to confirm!
@@ramisnazir678 okay. Thanks!
I have completed my M.Sc Biotechnology and wanted to open my own pathology lab, so is i am eligible for it? And what is the procedure for it. Reply me fast sir plz.....
Hi Azra,
Thank you for your comment. To be honest, I am not sure where to begin for starting your own pathology lab! I wish you luck on pursing your goal, though.
I've done bachelor of pharmacy(4year) program from India, so kindly tell me that master of biotechnology is good for me as well as will be related to my field??
Also please tell difference in doing ms in biotechnology from uni of toronto vs uni of windsor ??
Hi, thanks for your comment. I do not know a lot about the University of Windsor program, but I would not say that the Master of Biotechnology program is related to pharmacy. My colleagues either did a Master of Biotechnology or a Doctor of Pharmacy, but I don't know anyone who did both.
Hi, Thank you for your invaluable information. I have some questions about job market in Toronto with a master's degree in biochemistry and medical genetics. May I have your email so that I can ask my questions. Thanks!

Hello, great video but could you answer me here in the comments what is the job of a pharmaceutical biotechnologist
Hi Sr. Luisito,
Pharmaceutical biotechnologists are involved in drug development.
Hey! A great and detailed video indeed...thanks for the information....I am graduate from medschool in india and has 5 years patient care experience...I am applying for PR in canada...can you plz guide me if going for masters in biotechnology would be beneficial for me in terms of job opportunities and salary...as you know the path to being an postgraduate MD doctor is quite long and uncertain for imgs...thank you!
Personally, I do not think it would be worth it for you. I would obtain the PR, write the necessary licensing exams to practice medicine in Canada, and begin working.
Sir how much master's in medical biotechnology graduate earns in canada? Nice video.
Hello ,I am Sakshi .
I did btech in biotechnology with 6.1 CGPA and having 1 yr experience in business Development in biotech company. I want to do masters in medical biotech bt due to this CGPA I couldn't..so can uh plz help me which post graduate diploma should I go for and which college and university and scope in Canada.

You can also apply for master no problem if your cgpa is low. Many other things are also seen when you are applying for admission like Your GRE score, ilets score , SOP and many other things.
When we doing the internship is it enough to cover the tution fee of f programme?
Mostly, but it depends on whether you are an international or domestic student. International students pay higher tuition.
I have done bsc in biotechnology can I take digital health course for pg
Hi, yes you probably can. Thanks for your comment.
What did you pursue in bachleors?
Do students usually get full time offer after a year of internship ?
Hi Prateek,
Sometimes, but from what I've seen students are typically offered a contract extension for another 12 months (after the completion of the internship) before the company offers them a full-time role. In Canada, an organization can keep an individual on contract for up to 24 months before a) having to hire them permanently or b) let them go.
why did you switch from pharma industry to med school? were you facing any issues in pharma sector?

How about MSc Biotechnology from McGill university? Is it better than UOT?
The McGill program's internships are shorter and focused more on research and lab work. The M.Biotech internships are longer and are in the corporate pharmaceutical industry. The program that is more in line with your ambitions is the program you should strive for. Cheers

Do you think australia is a great destination for studying MBiotech?
Hey Georges, I am not too sure but I know that Australia offers a lot of educational opportunities for international students. I think it depends on what you are looking to get out of the program. If you're interested in working in the industry, then you should prioritize a program that will give you that co-op experience. If you're looking to get more heavily involved in research, you should find a program with a strong reputation for research output, etc.
Ramis Nazir thank you brother, all the best!
hey,
i am moving to canada on PR visa. my education background is b.tech biotechnology + m.tech in environment engineering And than have 3 years academic experience in environment engineering subjects under civil engineering department.

is the biotechnology Fastrack course at Conestoga college (1-year) is good or relevant for me?
I want to do a job in the pharmaceutical industry in Canada.
I had 1 year of experience in a pharma company in India.
please give appropriate advice to me.
Hi Arjun,
I do not know a lot about the Conestoga program, so I cannot comment on this. You should research the graduates of the program and what they are doing now, so that you have a better idea of how the program will help you. I hope that helps!
hey when did you work in pharma company? after masters?

Hi Meet, I don't know much about an MSc. in microbiology so I wouldn't feel confident in making a video about it. Sorry about that!
What is master Biotechnologist salary in canada ????
Is there any scholarship for MS Biotechnology for international students????
I think so but cannot remember off the top of my head if it was specifically for international students.
Is this course valid for Indian students with 3 years of bachelors?
Perhaps, but I am not completely sure. I think it may help to email the program with any specific questions regarding eligibility criteria.

It is on their website! Thanks
Is it ideal for 12 medical student to enroll in Biotechnology diploma?
Hi Kamal,
I don't see why not.
Hii...um i just wana ask have you applied for this diploma or else but are you pursuing ..i am in same situation like you..
Can veterinarian also apply from India?
Hi Kamaldip,
I am not sure if that's possible, but I suppose you can try if you meet all their other requirements. Thanks for your comment.
Hi Vanessa,
Thanks for your comment and for subscribing. Thanks.
Ramis Nazir Thanks
Thanks for this! Do you mind making a video about the interview process?
Thanks Joanne! Yes, this is something I have heard requested from others, as well. I plan to create my next TH-cam video around this topic. Thanks for subscribing. Cheers, Ramis
