    Without any doubt, u guys are THE experts, knowing that one should handle that small, wet roll of paper so carefully, so gently & so professionally, to (hopefully) establish that soldier's identity; such impressive work, for something so important, especially to that soldier's descendents, if any; great job!!! ✔️🇺🇸

    War is Hell and the men who start them should burn there. Very glad you are bringing them home, the artifacts tell stories like the pocket knife with the date from 1916, perhaps a gift from a father to a son who seen action in the first war. I do ask that you not open an identity capsule in the field, there are many factors that could cause its destruction. Love your work gentleman and prayers to all who are involved in unnecessary war, for those who have fought wars are the one who fear it the most. 👍❤️🇺🇸

      That's quite an interesting viewpoint..."heroes"...I guess if hero refers to someone, who fights for his country, but by that metric, they were all heroes I guess? Including the German soldiers or Japanese ones...I don't think, the word "hero" applies to these soldiers...they fought a Socialist dictatorship in the name of a Socialist dictatorship and it's a choice between pest and cholera in my opinion...what came after the second world war was a Soviet dictatorship of large parts of Europe, which killed innocent people for decades to come. I can respect these men for fighting for what they deemed their ideals, but hero is misplaced

      for what?
      So that the "kleine Gefreite" could dream of a Grossdeutsches Reich?

      Your God, turned real change over to YOU. Wars stop when the centuries old global financial ruling class say so. Don't see that ever happening because they get so much enjoyment out of watching slaves kill other slaves in their concocted wars that are solely meant to gain control of the world while depopulating all sides involved. Wars will only stop when soldiers put down their weapons and refuse to fight in them. You have no political, religious saviors, as both are secretly working togethar against YOU! So, as I mentioned before, solely up to the masses to stop wars for good.

    Actually the one Soviet soldier who had paperwork was approximately 38 years old! This is considered elderly as the military is concerned. But because Stalin killed half his military and imprisoned the rest in Siberia Gulags, he really didn't have much choice on who was still alive and breathing to fight the war. Being a 38 year old man, he probably had a good sized family at home he was hoping to one day see again? I feel bad for any soilder that fought and died in war no matter what side because they died fighting for their country and most times were forced to fight. Most of the German soldiers didn't even know about the concentration camps. They were brainwashed by hitler, and after the war, they heard what was going on, and they were mad at themselves for fighting for him. And most german soldiers were happy when they got captured but not by Russians because they didn't have to fight.

      These people you are watching are the authorities, this organization returns hundreds of soldiers back to their loved ones every year. Do you think these guys were just digging holes out in the Forrest all willy nilly ? They have to obtain permits and only inside a certain time frame can they do this. The items they sell online is what funds these recoveries. In Europe you just can't walk into the woods anywhere you want and start digging ,there are strict laws that keep people from doing that. With millions of soldiers missing from WW2 just about everywhere there is a grove of trees there is a battlefield casualty . Especially around where Stalingrad, and the Ardenns ,Hamburg,And everywhere in Russia. This group of individuals know what they are doing, and by stating the obvious as you did shows thismust be the first of these videos of theirs you have seen. Checkout some of their other vids that show them returning these men back home to a proper burial. It's really moving. The things they sell pay for all of that, DNA testing coffins, remembrance cerimonies, shipping cost of human remains, research, so yeah if you watched this video and got the impression they just grabbed a shovel and decided to go digging around old battlefields then you are hugely mistaken . Digging holes in Europe isn't as straight forward as it is here in the U.S. just walking through any forrested area with a shovel slung over one shoulder and a plastic bag in the other hand is enough to get yourself locked up over there.

    How often can you identify these soldiers and contact thier families

    • @matthew2478
      @matthew2478 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Soldiers have tags that either come in pairs or split into pairs. One tag is carried by another soldier and the other is buried with the fallen soldier for later identification so it just depends on if there are any surviving family members to find or not.
      I imagine many of these soldiers will be buried in a mass grave with full honors and their names on a large plaque.

    The dead were resting in peace in ww2 battlefields of the eastern front. Dig up too many of these virgin battle fields in the former Soviet Union, and some other war may get jump started in the former Soviet Union in 2022, wars like ww2.

    Can anyone tell me what happens to these mens remains once they get discovered? Mainly out of ineterest, hoping they'll be repatriated if they have any identification :)
    I see most of the soldiers remains still have there teeth could you use dental records to indentify them possibly?

    I don't exactly agree with what you are doing, millions of soldiers vanished and will never be found, and the places where you dig are not significant battlegrounds and there are most likely no more relatives around who might remember these men. But I have tremendous respect for your work, it would give me nightmares to the end of my life. You are very dedicated to your mission, say safe. God bless you.
