😢as a og of this game, playing since before global release I have enjoyed collecting rare skins as a f2p. Personally I believe that some should come back, but for people that have the original there to be something else, like a custom style or pin to show that you had it before. As well as this I also think that there should be something to show when you joined the game to prove and enjoy the old days. Either way UPDATE HYPE🎉🎉🎉

As someone who has some exclusive skins but not all (merchant gale, smuggler penny, all of the anniversary skins) to me, the exclusivity of the skins was never the biggest draw. I just want the coolest looking skins to be ones I have and use in game, and I want there to be more options for people when they want to buy skins for brawlers. I don’t think they should bring back star Shelly or any of the Christmas anniversary skins but I have no problem with the power league or tier 70 skins coming back.

As a collector I really wished I had those exclusive skins but at the same time if I had those skins I know I would hate it if they bought them back because now they're just any old skin so I don't think they should do this.

I'm a collector and I have most the limited skins. Although it's annoying, i wouldn't mind if they bring back the seasonal skins, the original reason they gave for the being limited is because the shop would have been massive during those events, imagine having 14 braawloween skins, 3 skins on sale and 4 for the daily rotation. Which no longer matters because if the catalogue and new shop ai for new skins and events. However they should be brought back only yo be bought at full price, otherwise if they put witch shelly and werewolf Leon at 79 gems every October, there really isn't a point if it being limited. I want skins like challenger colt, the anniversary skins and the brawl pass skins to stay unobtainable though. They should have never added the year later rule.

People should Express themselves and own the skin they like just because they want that certain look for their favorite brawler if you don't like this decision maybe you should rethink why are you playing this game or why are you buying those skins just to waste your money on something that you will not use because I see players who have Trixie Colette in lower range trophy and the exclusive skin for Gale in the 200 hundreds trophy range

And let's be honest newer skins are aesthetically much better and well animated than those old skins so only a small percentage of players will buy those skins just because they like one or two skins

I think the best solution would be either recolors as many people say, but i think addding a true gold sparkle or other cool effect to distinguish the original skin and those bought after the change, without it, and aslo a badge/stamp
I think brawl pass skins and seasonal skins coming back is ok I guess, but the true exclusives like Star Shelly (especially this one) or the original Ricochet and Brock skins should stay exclusive. I feel that the whole point of seasonal and exclusive skins will be made irrelevant if they handle this poorly. I’d like to have faith the team will handle this well

Back then BP skins were advertised as being exclusive so yeah that is kinda of a false promise and I have most of those skins not all but I think it should stay exclusive cause like to show that I'm an og player this way rather than fame but if they're not exclusive anymore, all of the old brawl pass skins I have won't be that cool anymore, im cool with recolored skins

I want to share my option on this as someone who played this game for a long time (I started from global launch, but I started really being dedicated to the game after a year)and also own some "exclusive " skins myself, I think bringing back some skins is fine, but not all of them should return: star shelly (she represents players who were there from the start of the game and she shouldn't be back) anniversary skins like old rico,brock,dina and shelly shouldn't be back because they are again momentums for thoso who were there for the games anniversary, also some skins who would i add in this group is red dragon Jesse and both box derryl skins (same reasoning as before) . Now for the big no is challenger colt, the skin is very good but it was sold for real money and was said that it was a one time thing and it should stay like that. If it wasn't for real money it would still be bad for it to come back but less scamy. As for skins that should be back in my option are all brawl pass, power league and special event (brawloween ,lunar new year and others) . This skins to my knowledge weren't advertised as exclusive at least not the bp and pl. And all of them after biodome season are comeing back anyway so why not be consistent and bring others too. I can understand why would bring pl skins be a bad taste for some people cus they earned them but the devs already want to make changes to pl so why not make the win requirement give you a discount to the skin or direct access cus the skin won't be back for a year at least anyway. Also the one side noone is talking about when saying "you didn't play when they were out so you should have them" is that some players are f2p and cant or dont want to spend money for a ingame cosmetic so maybe they wanted a skin but couldnt get it. Like getting a skin for a f2p player before bling wasn't even a option if they wanted to progress or get the new bp brawler. Now as for the topic of the recolors of the skins : I think its just a bad and lazy way out. If you are just going to sell me a bad recolor of a skin cus the og is exclusive just dont sell it at all. Also makeing recolors of all of the skins would just clog up the catalog for nothing. The brawl stars devs are amazing and they always looked out to make the game best for us, even when they made mistakes they were fast to apologize and fix them. This is the best take on this I've seen yet and I agree on what skins to keep exclusive because those skins were celebrating a milestone and should be only available at the time of that milestone
I have some exclusive skins as well (star shelly,Marchand gale etc.. and I understand what you mean but I always bought the brawl pass skins bc I thought were exclusive + you claim they are not (I remember them being but I might be wrong) at least they never said they are not and it is normal thinking they are since in all the other games that share seasonal passes the skins are exclusive +there are a lot of other skins now in the game for new players and they are objectively better (better effects and animations) the old skins have more of a emotional value than as an actual skin so pls vote for the og skins not to come back😂😅
@andrew_ytbstumbleguys9406 Yes, I do understand that side of the playerbase that bought the bp because they thought that the skins in them were exclusive, but on the other hand they were never advertised as such so if they do come back we cant really complain that they lost exclusivity because they never intentionally had it. This topic with the skins is very complicated and hard to put into words, and it doesn't simply have one right solution, but I trust the devs and in their decision
Nah they would be verrrry unhonest if they just bring them back bc for example me and a bunch of other people just sweated and grindet and bought the pass because it was said that its your last chance. Same as with Werwolf lein or Virus 8-Bit it was often in the shop and you had 10 days to buy it when it literally said „LAST CHANCE“!
@Hello-fy4lb The reason why they probably advertised like that in the past is cus the catalog didn't exist yet, and the only way to get the skin you want was to wait for it to come back in the shop. And we have a lot of skins for let's take brawloween for the example and they make new skins every time. Now imagine if they had to put all like 15 skins + new ones in the shop at the same time. Now that we do have the catalog and can get any skin we want whenever it makes sense to bring back the old ones. Also, I grinded every bp (even if i bought it or not) for the rewards . If you bought the bp only for the skin being exclusive even tho they weren't monetized as such thats just your problem
I don't think they should bring back exclusive skins. Maybe just a couple. There is the argument that it is unfair for new players but it's also unfair for old players to take that sense of exclusivity away from them. I think it's easy for a company like supercell to cater to new players too much. And while it's important to focus on making the game accessible and all, I believe that this is a matter that is separated from that. Nobody is going to delete brawl stars bc they couldn't get a skin that's old. I understand some people want skins but since there are so many skins in the game that are always available there should be some that aren't. Maybe if there were like half or less as many total skins but just as many exclusive skins sure. But i don't see the point in bringing them back, catering to new players and alienating older players (and as reddy said sort of lying to them as they were told they wouldn't be coming back), just so someone who downloaded brawl stars recently or in the future and use a couple more skins.
In summary should be ok having exclusive skins as long as the number is kept low and they keep pumping out skins that are available to everyone. Newer players shouldn't get EVERYthing ;)

This is interesting. I could not care less if Brawl Stars decided to bring exclusive skins back. I have Star Shelly and quite a bit of other very old skins but new players getting them doesn’t mean anything to me. Good for them I guess. I just want the catalog to have all skins whether we can purchase them or not 🙏

I think adding the old brawl pass skins and stuff like that back will be great for chromatic brawlers that don't particularly have many skins - eg. my main is Otis and he currently has 1 skin in Oni Otis and even just Pharotis coming back would allow more variety.

The way to go here is pretty easy:
1. Recolor event skins (like the Lunar New Year ones). It gives newer players the chance to get a cool skin, it generates more money for Supercell and it will actually make the exclusive skins even more exclusive!
2. Don’t touch certain special skins. Like Star Shelly, Challenger Colt and the Free gift skins. They represent a milestone in the game. It a reward, a gift for being there. You don’t give someone a gift, just to ask it back later.
Yes, it might be frustrating for newer players to not be able to get (a recolor of) all the og skins. But they should be happy with the opportunity to even get a few. In the end of the day, the original plan was to keep those skins fully exclusive for ever. Some items should remain exclusive to respect the OG players that where there at the time.
Another good idea: if there are recolors, give them for free to the players that already owned the og skin. Or reward them with a exclusive pin/ player icon! Its a way for Supercell to show their appreciation for player Who’ve been playing for years.

I agree with Dandy and some others. If it were exclusive, than It should stay that way. Bad luck who doesn't have it, that's why it is exclusive. My tip to Supercell is to create new exclusive skins, perhaps similar to the old ones.
I kinda hope they make special pins which are only unlocked for the people who already had these skins bc it will have the 'og' essence to it
I’m personally against the recolor option because it makes it look like a completely different skin than the one you wanted, and adds unnecessary complication with all the extra skins

I dont know if this is a great change, i didnt get trixie skin for colette or star shelly but they should stay limited.of course they might not bring every skin back but i think i like the limited part of it.
I’ve said this many times about this and clash royale exclusive emotes. I think people should be able to buy them for a lot of gems but people who got the skin when it came out will get some kind of buffed version or a special aura or something around it to show that that player got it when it was exclusive so it will still feel special to the people who did get it when it was “exclusive” while still letting newer players know what it feels like

I really hope Brawl Pass and Power League skins come back, I respect keeping Star Shelly exclusive but I hope the community doesn't gatekeep great skins like Director Buzz or Mecha Paladin Surge

I fully agree with you. SOME skins can come back, like Power League skins. But pre-season 10 skins are a big no. We spend money on those seasons with the PROMISE they would stay exclusive.
Also.. just imagine the backlash Clash Royale would get if they announced this, rereleasing all exclusive emotes and tower skins. People would go MAD!!

I think the correct approach is to bring back the exclusive Brawl Pass and Power League skins bc the Celebrity exclusive skins represent something. Star Shelly shows that you were there for global launch. Red Dragon Jessie shows that you were there for the China Release. I'm fairly fine seeing Halloween and Christmas exclusive skins but not the ones like Ricochet or Old School Brock.

I saw a good suggestion, where all the exclusives come back, but when the OGs wear them in game the skins sparkle or give out an effect.

Challenger colt was a skin buyable with real money in order to support esports team in 2020. You can't support them by spending gems it doesn't work like that

The thing that makes me go against bringing back Exclusive skins is what Reddy sayed the main reason i got some of those skins is that they're Exclusive and for some skins i was willing to lose out on a Brawl Pass for them so seeing them come back will really hurt my feelings and trust with the Brawl Stars team and after they started bringing back the Brawl Pass and Power League skins i stopped caring about them
I still remember the Happiness i felt when i got Jet Ski Jacky and i'm still to this day happy about it
Bro when coins were in excess they released true silver and gold skins for those players and we wasted gold then they changed the game over the future updates to make coins a crucial resource. I think it'll be fine

My take is this:
Star Shelly shouldn’t return since it was an exclusive for og players
Challenger Colt shouldn’t return since it costed money + promoted as exclusive
Anniversary skins should not return since they were gifts for playing the actual game
However
I’m on the fence for Power league skins. Perhaps they should return as for some players it was difficult to obtain the number of wins to get them, and it was really only reserved for the most sweaty players since casuals perhaps didn’t have people they could play with to get those wins, stuck with bad randoms, but at the same time they show the top players ability to have beaten these og challenges.
Tier 70 skins should return though since they weren’t very difficult to obtain at the point of release since all you had to do was play the game during that time frame, no special challenge, just play normal games.

I kind of dont like this because the skins are just representing the og players, if we give them out to newer players, our representations of how long we’ve played brawl stars is kind of ruined. As for us og players, we would like it so that the newer players are receiving some kind of stuff that they cant get. It just seems to me that my star shelly skin would become a common skin, i dont want that to happen.

If they add back exclusive skins they should make it for gems or do some quests to get it for free
For example star shelly:be the star player for 50 rounds or buy it with 79 gems
I think the best decision is to make them not a recoloror of original skin but just add to the original skins a shiny gold effect
I think it would look neat and in game you can recognise original skins with ease
Their is a middle ground for this when bring back skins, they should make gold versions or even a version that has gold particles around for exclusive skins to show you are an og brawler skin.
I want them to bring back some exclusive skins like the brawl pass and Power league ones (also virus 8bit and that stuff) but not skins like challenger colt, star shelly, classic Brock/Dyna/Rico/Shelly and stuff... Making recolours of the skins could not be the best idea because some of the skins look amazing because of their colour palette so changing it could remove the charm of the skin. They could give a special pin/spray/profile icon to the people that got the exclusive skin when it was exclusive and not give it to the people that bought it now. I think that would satisfy everyone since some VERY exclusive skins don't come back and people that bought the exclusive skins when they were exclusive will get something to show that you got it when it was limited and the players that never had a chance to get those skins would get it now making everyone happy.

Imo they should handle it like Fortnite and just give people that had the skin originally a new recolour option. This way, everyone gets to have the skin but OGs still get to keep the collectors item.

As a person who had all of these and the gale special skin but lost that acc after breaking my phone a year ago, this makes me happy, ik te other dogs still have the skins and are prob mad about it, but I want my gale skin back, the games been so boring without it
I personally see a lot of positivity towards the idea, however as much as i want the og star shelly (i downloaded it the first year but missed release sadly 😢) I understand why it doesnt need to comeback itself, however i respect the fact that they should remain exclusive. Make challenges for certain skins like the red star shelly idea. Heck make a new rarity of skin called retro rarity and put certain limited skins there (its a mostly exclusive tier and i personally think it would stand out more than the 5 they currently have because they often get mixed in.
And also while we are at it, CAN WE GET MORE SUPERCELL COLLAB SKINS!? I WOULD LOVE TO SEE MORE COLLABS BETWEEN THE GAMES!
The intent on Supercell's behalf is clearly to do good. The overwhelming majority of players in the player base do not have limited cosmetics, thus the polls ran are overwhelmingly in favor of bringing them back. This means that it is objectively the most pragmatic decision to bring back limited skins, as the most amount of people will be pleased versus displeased. Nothing is being objectively taken away from owners of limited skins when they are made no longer limited besides a sense of superficial belonging, ego, arbitrary superiority, and image. Players should not be restricted and/or punished for their happenchance of finding Brawl Stars later than others, and it should be celebrated that Supercell has been abandoning artificial scarcity and RNG as of recent with their decisions (despite loot boxes returning, which was a step backwards. I digress). It is objectively the right decision to re-introduce limited skins. As a player with lots of limited skins myself, I'd personally want other newer players to be able to access the same skins that I have.

As a OG player wiht star shelly and most of the exclusive skins I am not happy about this I get it that everyone can’t be happy bout this, but when they promote skins as exclusive it is a marketing strategy to buy, so I don’t like them breaking their promise of them returning I might sound greedy or selfish but unfortunately that is how it is. Knowing that most of the community don’t have these skins obv yes was destined to win the vote. So wrapping up as a OG I think as long as star shelly , and rare skins like challenger colt doesn’t come back and if they do come back we can get refunds for them more than a 100% because it is a lack of their word so maybe a 200 gem skin now gets refunded for 300.

As somebody who has played from day 1 of beta and has bought every brawl pass and has most skins, I think that the power league, seasonal, and brawl pass skins should come back, (though I feel less strongly about the seasonal skins returning as I do the power league and brawl pass skins). The revenue and hype around *new* skins for newer players can only be good for the game. Although many of the major voices in the community are against it, they are also the OG and pro players who have been around long enough and spend enough money to actually get non-essential cosmetic items--the polls show that the larger community is for reintroducing these skins

the people who got the exclusive skins before they came back should get a starsilber version of that skin or have extra effects which are customized just for that skin

As a user who has 19/19 of limited brawl pass skins and 4/6 of the anniversary skins i believe they shall add not add anniversary skins back. Yes, not even recolors, but as of brawl pass skin they shall 100% add them back, because it feels unfair for free2play players that couldn't buy every brawl pass and loved the skin not to get them because they are f2p and don't spend money, same goes for skins that costed money.
Except for the anniversary and championships skins, yes, they should bring back old skins, but making it more “entertaining”, with quests or challenges, like it was with Zombie Brock/Boo. OR make a community quest every now and then, just as Omega Box did, it was very fun to play and everyone benefits from it.

I would be happy to see Wizard Byron available again. I missed the challenge due to being hospitalized, but I don’t think it’s fair to buy it directly from the shop, especially not “fighting for it” like all the other players did.
As a player who joined during the Stunt Show Season, I've always wanted some exclusive skins that I never had the chance to buy. One of them being Director Buzz, which I've wanted since I saw it for the first time. I don't mind if brawl stars keeps some skins exclusive, but I just wanted to tell people how it doesn't feel great not being able to purchase a skin that you want for your favorite brawler... Personally I think that instead of different color variants, they just bring back the original skin, and give everyone that already has it a gold variant of it or something like that. It would be lot less work for the devs. This would make it so that if someone wants a cool limited skin, they can still get it and with the same colors, but skin collectors would still have the rare limited skins that they had before.

I honestly agree with Star Shelly,However i do bring my own point of view.
I have been playing Brawl Stars since the start,I didn't get Star Shelly but i get i was a bit late.
HOWEVER i do think it's fair to bring back Brawl Pass and anniversary skins for 2 reasons.
1.Places have different prices for gems.
I am Brasilian,And in order to buy a single Brawl Pass i would need to spend 55 bucks. Therefore i only ever got Brawl Passes due to overseas friends gifting them to me,Which unfortunately means i missed out on my favorite skin for my favorite Brawler (Trixie Colette) so a chance to get it now would really make me happy since i never had the chance to get it.
2.The phone update.
I missed out on getting Classic Mike due to my phone breaking and not having a phone that could run Brawl Stars anymore,I missed it due to outside forces and it is my all time favorite Dyna skin. Again,I'm sure i am not the only one in this spot about this.
In my opinion,Skins like lunar skins or Challenger Colt and Star Shelly should never come back,Those skins are indeed special mementos.
However,I feel like Brawl Pass and anniversary skins should come back due to them being celebrations of specific times in Brawl Stars history.

Great views on this topic. As someone who came into Brawl Stars a year ago I wasn't privy to those old skins, especially of characters who don't have cool skins IMO. I voted yes cause I wanted to get Colette's skin. There needs to be more skins added anyways but if you wanted to add them but honor those who bought them earlier, raise the price on them. Make them cost between 5-10,000 bling or 300-500 gems. Then those who really want them will have to overpay to get them.

Here is what I think should happen. What if they brought back the skins, based on how long ago you joined. Ex. Bring back the 2020 world finals skin if you played during that year
What you said doesn't work for challenger colt cuz this skin shows that you was a contributor in 2020 (not in 2023)
I'm already on the verge of quitting due to life and rereleasing OG skins would 100% make me quit. Ruins all the time i've put in the game since the start of beta.
I understand where the yes party is coming from. Ricochet is a hype Rico skin, and I would be pretty irritated if I couldn't have it. If they do release color variants the others if the original skins should get a discount. They shouldn't make the annual gift skins or brawl pass skins. Non-exclusive. Half if their appeal is cool exclusive stuff.
Maybe they could make something like superbling which u can buy Mythik, legendary and Exclusive skins with… would that be an good idea

there is a VERY EASY way to solve this give a special badge or token to the people who got it originally then the players who just care about the skin get their skin and the players who want to flex get their flex both sides happy and much easier and better than recolouring EVERY exclusive skin
I think that only event gem sold skins should come back, they really don't represent something big. But like the gifted ones or colt gamer and the championship should be the ones exclusive, they represent moments of the game that are kinda like the evolution and a new player won't understand it, for example omega box darryl represents the goodbye to boxes.
For the gem paid, I think they should consider for example wolf Leon, if you didn't have enough luck to get it before the time run out you couldn't buy it, and we know that a legendary brawl is expensive.
for me i have the example of heroine Bibi, I really wanted it (I started on fangs brawl pass in January) but I didn't get Bibi until the next season with the boxes, and to buy it with the skin didn't have enough money and it was only available for a week if a remember correctly.
Heroine bibi was released in 2020 but returned for few weeks in 2021 and 2022 and then left. I don't understand why they made them exclusive whatsoever
They should give the original skins to people to buy, but make a recolor for the og’s, don’t recolor for people to buy now because we only want them for how the look as of now, so a recolor would give the og’s a chance to use normal(what would come back), or a different variant to flex they got it the first time
So what I’m saying so no confusion is, the og’s get the color change, but the people now get the og version, because that’s why we want it right, not for a altered version, but because of how it looks rn. I wouldn’t buy an altered version, but the og’s get the chance to choose either.

i wouldnt want them coming back. even tho i am on and off the game having missed some great power league skins, when i spent the money on those skins it was due to them being exclusive. i would feel like i was lied to and tricked into buying them by the thought of them being limited. I would say just keep bringing back the seasonal skins like valentine poco and piper and the christmas set on those occations
i disliked when they started making brawl pass skins returning for me especially considering other games the pass has an exclusive skin that you grind for and you were there during that time but now you're just buying pass for progression which is so meh

I have some of the limited skins (starting from season 5) and I want to keep them limited because people can instantly know I'm an OG by using an old exclusive skin. However I've missed some very good ones too and I really want them. I think that recolours are the perfect middle ground because it's returning a variation of those exclusive skins and while also keeping the original exclusive

I lost my first ever account and I got permanently banned on my second account for trying to recover my first one, and with that I lost the chance to have Star Shelly. I don’t want to get rid of my merchant Gale, paladin surge, and heroine bibi’s worth so I think a good idea would be to just add skin trading, so players could trade some other exclusive skins they have for a skin that they really want.

People really do make good points regarding exclusive skins. I'm all for it with the color variants of exclusive skins. They need to be clear as to which skins may or may not return, even outside the game. Transparency is key here. 🤔👀
They should probably like make a difference from the og skins and the new og skins. Honestly, the og skins are something I really wanted but I never got. They could add like a flag emote to the skin on the battle card showing that it isn’t og so the og skins will still have their value. I don’t think that making a recolor would be the best option because the og skins would lose their value and not many people would get them. I like that supercell is reaching out to the community and is willing to bring back the og skins though.
