Because you are forcing us to see colour, you are babysitting grown adults and restating things that should be a given to any polite society, it is DEI and the woke mindset that has kept us from moving beyond the race issue.
DEI is based on false assumptions: It makes the assumption that groups are identical in their average abilities. This assumption is wrong. Example: Asians outperform all other ethnic groups on average at the university level. How much of the difference is due to biology and how much is due to culture can be debated, but not the fact that these differences exist. Asians are consistently measured with average IQ scores higher than the rest, Blacks are consistently measured with average IQ scores significantly lower than the rest. Of course this must have repercussions in the real world. The DEI assumption that all groups are identical from the outset is a myth. As a natural scientist, I accept the reality of Nature as it is, whether I like it or not. That's just the way the world is. Everybody can still find their place in a free society. You find more Asians in intellectual occupations and more Blacks in athletics and sports. So be it. Where's the problem? There is no "equity" in Nature.
I've worked for public companies that have stock and private companies. None of the private companies were really worried about it. The public companies pushed it hard during orientations.

Therefore costing is productivity. I don't care what race people are or religion people are and want to hire the best people for my corporation. We are a competitive environment forced diversification is wrong. It will bankrupt companies and make companies less competitive on the World market. An HR department that hires using these principles will jeopardize the American economy.

That is what the left wants. A weaker America
Wow. DEI judges on skin color and not on achievement. Why is that a good thing?
No, DEI is basically to help ensure not just White Straight middle class males who went to top universities are the ones being hired in good positions. Do you think there isn’t a history of this in America?
DEI:
Division - Highlighting differences in ways that emphasize conflict or separation rather than unity or collaboration.
Exclusion - Favoring certain groups while marginalizing others under the guise of inclusion.
Inequity - Applying double standards or creating systems where fairness is compromised in pursuit of specific outcomes.
So DEI being forced upon someone means they will allow under fair trade agreements to listen to others political facts and religious view?
A company WASTED money to make this video. Just hire people. This video proves DEI wastes money.
I forsee another Tower of Babel situation.

It’s the opposite of meritocracy getting something based on immutable characteristics.
It’s the worst idea to ever exist for the workforce and academia.
I think the Diversity explanation is off in this video. I mean, your saying to make sure every different identifier is represented in a certain company? Well, that would mean hiring based on those, right? Illegal and unethical.
In affirmative action and practices like this, hiring based on your social identity can be a *factor* but it does not guarantee you are hired; I'm pretty sure companies still look at other qualifications like skill, experience, etc.
DEI is ruining movies ...
The film industry is over.

Movies are so dead now a diverse female beats up armys amd armys of men with just her fists 🥱

Is it not a stereotype to say a certain ethnic group can't do well by themselves?

This the most parasitic thing ever, and slowly destroying every aspect of society
"We are the most creative people".. not really no..
They are certainly experts at playing Opression Bingo
What race of people are hired at companies for their DEI departments?
As long as it benefits you that’s all that matters, like Asian Americans having a harder time getting into college but there not black so they can wait there turn right lol
So they traded in affirmative action for DEI🤦♂️
DEI = Didn’t Earn It
Your description of equity is incorrect. You describe equality.
The host said there were not black representatives to assist in getting black nominations, which is an admission of racism. She didn’t say that there “were only white representatives”. So, she is at least SUGGESTING that black representatives would most likely be nominating black candidates, not the best candidates.
First 10 sec: "we are all equal"
1:20 : "We black people are the most creative"
intentionally picking incompetent people?
But skills and competence should be number one
Excluding someone bc of race is wrong, But isn't including someone base on skin color instead of merit just as wrong?

We're NOT all equal. I don't have or want the talent to be a doctor and I don't want more Basquiats passing themselves off as great artists. Crap is always crap whatever person makes it.
I'm biracial. I never paid much mind to which box i checked on an application for race/ethnicity. Now, bc of DEI, I exclusively check "Hispanic/Latino" bc ik I have a far better chance at getting hired than if I checked "white" 🤦🏽
But Latinos are very mixed; they're not one race.
@@absurdturk what's your point?
@@PerspectivePossibilities What I'm trying to say is: Latino is not an actual race. Generally speaking, according to my research, Latinos generally are a mix between Spaniards and Native Americans.
If you ever feel useless just remember these people exist and think they bring value to society 😂
Black people just as well as any other race bring and add value to society! That's your toxic mindset believing that lie!!!
DEI is racist
I'm sorry, but if I ever have a serious illness, which needs urgent medical attention I'll be wanting a doctor with best qualifications over some DEI hire. Also, listing people into check boxes is extremely degrading :-)

DEI is inherently racist.
how would that look in smaller companies? does it need to reflect the local demography? I don’t think it’s possible to have all sorts of people on for example smaller cities or rural areas.
ooh look at all the nazis in the comments
So anything not white?
so basically, race is a debunked social construct but also we need to systemically discriminate against certain races to benefit other races who need help because they're so powerful and brilliant.
Got it.
cringe. this is my 1st time to see people claiming that they are 3 steps ahead to everyone.
It’s racism plain & simple
Although these ideas sound nice and are what people actually want, the execution of this plan causes the very oposite effect of what it aims at.
Just like communism and basic income. 👍🏼
DEI is short for: Didn’t Earn It
Seriously, and I am Australian for context. The very first time I heard about DEI I thought it was some kind of satire. Someone making fun of racist ideas by exaggerating them and flipping them on their head, like the “are we the baddies” skit. Or something like Animal Farm: “all people are equal but some are more equal than others”. Then I did a Spiderman: “wait, are you *serious*?”. This is just KKK psychopathy elevated to religion, sorry *cult*.

@V1V6123 yes I'm black and I also know that DEI is your little code word for black people
I though we were supposed to move on from colour, you know, content of your character and all that. This DEI seems to me insidiously racist and divisive, why?
Focusing on what makes you different is only going to deepen the breach that separates people. Instead of that, focus on similarities.
The Root of all evil
What about Asians?

DEI shouldn’t be in entertainment. Get recognize from ya work not ya ethnicity or gender. Equality is important but if ya product sucks it sucks.
In many places, you can't get recognized from ya work when your ethnicity speaks loud and clear and is the door you must go through to get in to be recognized for ya work!
We don't need it

DEI is worthless
The part that is always left out is that these policies came to be after decades of discriminatory hiring practices, redlining, and certain groups having unequal access to higher education. People forget this, and get caught up in the idea of "quota's" and worrying that those who always had an opportunity might be slighted by groups that have been historically marginalized.
Well DEI does the same thing though by flipping the script and putting marginalized groups first. Still wrong lol.
