    About Xcaret Park:
    Xcaret Park (pronounced ish-kah-ret) is the biggest and most popular activity/destination in the Riviera Maya of Mexico.
    This huge eco park features a wide variety of activities, shows, and exhibits for people of all ages. If there's just one park or one activity you choose to do during your Mayan Riviera vacation, chances are, Xcaret Park should be it. I hope my review gives you a better idea of what Xcaret Park is all about, and why people (like myself) love it so much.
    There are many eco parks, activities, and destinations in the Cancun, Playa Del Carmen, Riviera Maya, and Tulum areas of Mexico, but it's easy to see why Xcaret Park is THE most popular of them all. Xcaret park is owned by Grupo Xcaret, which operates several of the top tours and parks in Cancun & the Riviera Maya.
    I made this video to show you what to expect and give you some tips to help you get the most out of your visit. If you have any other questions about Xcaret Park, leave a comment below and I'll respond. Thanks for watching!

    Went here and xenses wow it was soooo amazing . I remember one safety issue ,their was a child's area that had a water slide that led into 4 and a half foot high water . Luckily i was there to catch my kids at the bottom . They cant swim . The sea treak was amazing .but dont let your kids go alone the water is deeper than 6 feet and takes over half hour to finish it .They do have mandatory life jackets but it was still scary when all your family members cant swim .The scare factor of drowning ,length of sea treak and beauty of it was a huge part of why me and family from Canada had the best day of our lives at Xcaret . Xcaret and Xsenses was the best thing ever . Definitely better than chitchin itza .

    Might be a dumb question, but is the water in the park safe to drink? I've read that drinking tap water, and even most filtered water is a bad idea for tourists in Mexico because it has bacteria that our stomachs aren't used to, but do you know if that's the case with the water they serve at the buffets or the water bottle refill stations?

    • @TulumToCancun
      @TulumToCancun  2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      The water served at the restaurants is safe to drink. Outside of the restaurants, you'll need to purchase water unfortunately. I looked everywhere for a fountain and couldn't find one. I suggest bringing a water bottle with you to save some money.

    Very informative video. So you really don't need to know how to swim to go in the river?

    • @TulumToCancun
      @TulumToCancun  4 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      I think confidence in the water is much more important than being able to swim. If you're not nervous/scared in the water, and can do some basic doggy paddling to move yourself around, then yes I think you'll be just fine- you have lifejackets, exits mid-way, and a rope to hang on to. But if you're nervous in the water, or are completely unable to do anything to move yourself around, then you may want to avoid the river and snorkeling.

    • @romanfields7900
      @romanfields7900 4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      No, we just floated along in our jackets and looked at the fish and scenery. The rivers are the best part of the park . As you swim/float along you go into caves, pop out in amphitheaters or restaurants or little villages. The whole park is unforgettable. You get a little warm walking around? Jump into a river as there are several locations to get in and out.

    My family and I were thinking about doing this as an excursion for a cruise would you recommend that or would 4 hours be to short of a time to explore part of the park. The main things we are interested in doing is the river and Mayan Ruins!! We also want to grab a look at the natural pools.

    • @TulumToCancun
      @TulumToCancun  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      4 hours at the park sounds like it MIGHT be enough time to do the things you mentioned, but you'd have to move quickly. In my opinion that's too little time to be worth the visit, and once you see how large the rest of the park is, it may leave you wishing you had spent more time at Xcaret. If you want to see Mayan ruins and do some water activities, you may want to check out one of the Xichen tours.

      Lemon Anns It just comes down to your preference, Xcaret is so big that it makes you want to explore everything, all day long. It’s a completely different experience, but you may want to check out Xenses Park, 4 hours is enough to see and do everything there, so it’s perfect as a cruise excursion. There are also lots of Mayan ruins & cenotes tours to check out.

    • @TulumToCancun
      @TulumToCancun  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks, and sorry to hear that. Luckily he'll still be able to get around the majority of the park without problem. The only challenges would be water activities like you said, certain "hidden" sections of the park, and you will have to select one of the restaurants that is wheelchair accessible- the biggest challenge overall might be fatigue, because Xcaret is huge. Other than that, he can still see and do about 90% of the park and enjoy his day, so I wouldn't let that ruin your visit.

      I briefly mention this in the video, but all the water activities have accommodations that allow you to safely store your possessions. The river has a "secure bag" system where you lock up your stuff, and that secure bag is delivered to the end of the river so you don't have to walk back. They also have lockers you can rent if you don't want to carry around your water shoes all day.

      Yes, you can re-enter the park on the same day. If you're staying at Occidental Xcaret, you can also look into the Unlimited Xcaret pass.
