Mara's comment about the Guardian's Vault was savage as fuck. Also, though I am a retired Titan, the sheer amount of pride I have for Crow actually brings a tear to my eye. The man deserves to be the new Hunter Vanguard leader.
This better be what finally lets Crow become the official Hunter Vanguard, this kind of thing is literally the most Hunter-y thing he could possibly do.
YES my thoughts exactly. also the lore tab where he might have wished for cayde to return in TFS... hopefully we get some good moments between the two hunters in TFS
I haven’t watched the full video yet but, in a lore tab somewhere, crow wishes that he didn’t kill cayde. The wish brings cayde back to life but he will never be able to leave the pale heart.
It was always gonna be Crow. Crow was resurrected as per Savathun's plans and foresight to interfere with Mara's prophecy and was groomed into the perfect candidate. The proof of this is because Riven literally uses her Siren to lure Uldren into fulfilling the guardian's adage: "Devotion inspires bravery, bravery inspires sacrifice, sacrifice leads to death" If you go back to the sequence of Forsaken's cutscenes, you'll notice Riven through Mara's appearances dictates this IN ORDER of appearance. She says he was the most DEVOTED when he murders the corsairs, she tells him to be BRAVE when fracturing the shard of the Traveler, lets him know nobody has SACRIFICED more than him when he needs reassurance to enter the sea of screams/ascendant plane to unlock a pathway to Riven in the Confluence, and ultimately leads him to his DEATH at the end of the main story of Forsaken. Savathun then brought ruin upon the Dreaming City, which in turn obfuscated the proper direction of the prophecy for Uldren to become Mara's Lightbearer. This makes sense because, when you think about it, what does making ONE person able to pursue the Witness have anything to do with the Dreaming City's curse? How would any of the ruination of the city be a drawback for Savathun and her wish? Meanwhile, under the guise of Osiris guided Crow to become more vanguard worthy. Osiris commissioned Eva Levante to make a new mantle and cloak in the form of hawk feathers, those of which resemble the Traveler's avatar, the radiant accipiter, yes, the very namesake of the ship AND the title of HAWK MOON is literally all just one big metaphor. Crow was guided by Savathun to interact with the shard of the Traveler in her possession to obtain a paracausal Hawkmoon AND the ship made of pure paracausal light energy. Savathun also returned all of Uldren's memories to Crow without actually capitalizing on afterward. This allowed Crow to grow, to learn from Uldren's mistakes and overcome them. To determine and shape his own fate and rise to the challenge. Savathun had a plan all along... and the lack of interaction with her to confirm exactly WHO she wanted to send after the Witness kind of narrows it down to him because the entirety of the Dreaming City and Forsaken story was all about Uldren/Crow.
While the Forsaken material is a little more ambiguous and is probably essentially a retcon, it's especially clear that this was 100% planned as far back as Beyond Light when we first met Crow. It was always hinted that Savathun had a reason for mentoring him, and finally we see that. And it tracks given Bungie announced ahead of Beyond Light that the story had an endpoint- they had a skeleton of this plot already.
@@skeletor8951 the reason for the curse is definitely a retconn. We already learnt a while ago the purpose was to make a death battery for feed Savathuuns worm. It didn't work though, since her worm caught on to the trick
With all of this narrative point, I believe the hunter cloak "Be Thy Guide" is a small callback for Crow as he is going to be our "Vergil" into the portal.
Something I've noticed is that Crow seems like the only character who's story we're directly apart of. Like for everyone else you are "the guardian" and that's whoever you are. But for crow we are also a part of this world and he has some sort of relationship with us Like guardian is a name rather than a title. Not sure if it make sense or if it's quite true but when Crow told us is plan that's what I was thinking about.
Now we know WHY Mara and Osiris WILL NOT CROSS into the Traveler. But I would be VERY interested in Crow's first meeting with Cayde 6 inside the traveler, but somehow I suspect we won't meet Cayde 6 until Ikora does.
What do you mean we know? Unless Mara and Osiris need to hold the portal stable then there's not really any established reason yet. If anything the trailers make it seem likely nobody without Light can pass through, everyone seen inside is a Guardian. And the portal has to remain stable after the expac ends, somehow.
@@skeletor8951judging by the people we do see on the trailers, your idea of only lightbearers being able to pass does make sense. About the portal after the expansion, whatever happens at the end probably will make it so the Traveler/someone stabilizes the entrance so lightbearers can go in and out at will. That's my theory at least.
1) If Crow goes through the portal, there NEEDS to be a cutscene with him meeting Cayde 2) Mara's burn was on point And 3) id love to see sunbracer esque gaunlets for strand, maybe if Osiris has his final death, saint gives them to us(Warlocks)
There's isn't even a need for his death. He uses strand now, so it would make sense that he would try to think of a way to make them useful for him once again. Hell, maybe he *already* does, and the power we see him use to restrain Mara will eventually become it's own exotic, a modified sunbracers that changes the grapple into a way to restrain targets (and maybe deal increasing continuous damage for as long as they're restrained or something?).
So Mara really threatened to have riven turned into an exotic for us to just put into our vault after finding out it’s terrible? Honestly I like how the game acknowledged that we probably have Parasite or Whisper chilling in our vaults collecting dust.
It occurs that this is, in essence, how we stormed the Dreadnaught. One hotshot slips past the defenses and sets up a transmat beacon, thereby allowing the rest to charge in.
I’m shocked. The plot point actually makes sense. And it’s not just dragging out the story I was really about to ask about the audacity of crow to say he’s a better fit than the guardian who practically always has a god on their person at all times
If you mean a ghost, Crow has one too... If you mean the player, technically there are other (npc) guardians more powerful than our guardian, Ikora for example.
@@twiz66 girl no, there’s a reason the vanguard sends us to take down every god there is. There’s a reason Eris morn chose us to kill crota, then oryx, and all the rest of the osmium dynasty. There’s a reason that we were sent to kill Rhulk, then Calus, then Nezarec. We are quite literally the strongest guardian to ever live. Ikora is a strong contender for second, but if it came down to it, we would probably kick her ass Gameplay doesn’t feel like that because at the end of the day you have to balance it so you don’t just one shot a knight, especially with up to 5 other god killers running around. But if lore is to be believed and it’s pretty normal for a guardian to be able to chain supers yet fireteams died over and over to one fucking shrieker, then we’re probably a lot stronger than it feels As for the gods we have on us, do you want a hive god, various ahamkhara bones, or something disciple related
@@cee_vesyou're both right, in different ways. Ikora is canonically the strongest guardian, light wise, as her light, much like the rest of guardians, infinitely scales, but her initial base power was way higher than any other guardian. This was discussed in a few lore entries and, while Ikora humbly says that every guardian has the potential to become as powerful as her with time, the reality is, as long as she also keeps becoming more powerful, no one will ever reach her current peak of power at any current moment, only her past peaks (unless she willingly stops training and becoming stronger willingly). All of this said, power does not equal effectiveness and capabilities. While we, the guardian, are not as powerful as Ikora, we are very much more effective and capable than her, as raw power is meaningless without the matching focus to channel it (this part also mentioned by her when explaining how paracausal power works). A good example of this are Ahamkara. Ahamkara have the power and potential to kill anyone or anything, and to do anything, thanks to wish magic, yet they still require someone or something to channel that power (a bargain or someone to make a wish for them), which reduces the efectiveness of their power, as it has to be focused and filtered through the means and conditions of the wish/bargain.
@@voltus20 I did read another comment on some thread to the same effect, basically saying our guardian isn’t the most powerful/smartest/most brilliant tactician, but they are the *best* from a combination. Extremely adaptable and resourceful, very powerful at a base line, and determined I don’t necessarily agree, I do think there’s something inherently strong about us, considering we were the one the traveller reached out to in the red war and all that (despite ikora’s etc. more spiritual nature) and are the target of quite literally every event in the last 10 years, but I can see that line of thinking. We obviously aren’t the best at everything, but I’d say in terms of being a gun to be pointed at every god in the solar system, we’re the biggest one there is
One other interesting tidbit: Joxxer was literally ripped apart by his pre-Guardian life, a life he had forgotten when he was 1st resurrected. Crow, on the other hand, knows of his former life as Uldren, thanks to Savathun. Maybe it was part of her plan, maybe it's not, but one thing is certain, Crow's understanding of his former life might provide a level of stability during the jump into The Pale Heart, knowing who he was, while Joxxer was ripped apart by his own confusion of what he was before he was a Guardian.
That’s a really great detail, I almost forgot that they made it known that entering the portal will make you remember your past life. I love seeing that everything that happened in Witch Queen is paying off big time in our eyes and we’re all connecting the dots to this big moment
@@mono6158 Interesting point, it's still possible that Crow can still make it by focusing on the one thing that's certain across his lifetime, his connection with Mara. Since The Portal stretches your perception across your lifetime, Mara & Crow's biological link as twins is the only certainty Crow needs to make it out on the other side.
I think Joxxer was just tossed around in the chaotic sea of raw psychic energy that is the Veil because he had no emotional connection to the Pale Heart. Crow doesn't have a connection to the Pale Heart, either, but he'll get through because the portal will be stabilized by Savathûn's wish. Then, his bond with Mara should allow Osiris to open a way for us. Assuming everything goes to plan...
Maybe Glint will have to stay behind. It would add to the riskiness of sending Crow alone through a portal to God-knows-where, being accompanied only by the Witness while the rest of us can do nothing to help.
@@Vasboch I think they're AI? Plus they came from the traveler itself so it's possible theyd be considered an extension of their guardian's light for the purposes of entering the portal
Uldren goin first with Mara as a guide is perfect. Story moment incoming. Uldren enters, sees the landscape, immediately attacked, holds his own for a bit, notices (insert location to plant beacon here), gets cornered, picked up by a dementor, right before the light is sucked out of him, Memento Mori shot thru the head. Cayde-7 in the house. Quick gun slinger montage ending in another big guy showing up. Both Cayde and Uldren cast Golden Gun to shoot the camera. Fade to black.
I think it would be poetic if they mirrored the last call scene but with crow. They have him for the kill shot to destroy glint and you hear ace of spades to kill them.
@@twiz66we're flying in with ships, as the other comment said, even if Crow is the beacon to tide us over, we still need a landing zone to transmat to from our ships once we're inside.
I'm feeling this all would be more impactful if we didn't already see what we did in the Final Shape trailer last year. Though I am enjoying it, I feel the possible mystery of it all would have been more impactful
Crow found a way to reach an impossible location with little consideration for what to do when he gets there. That is the most *Cayde* thing ever. (See the Vex portal in Vanilla D2 and his fast trip down in Forsaken.) He's the Vanguard now.
I can’t help but wonder, what reasons did Savathun have to make it so the 15th wish could deliver only one person through the portal into the Traveler? Could it be she surmmized the Witness would be altered as soon as an army showed up? Or knew the paracusal barrier around the Traveler made it so only one could pass through? Curious to hear her intention behind her true wish that limited as to this specific degree of parameters.
I think it's down to two possibilities: First option is the Great Disaster. We sent a literal army of Guardians after Crota, and he slaughtered them. Savathun will know about that very well, so she'd much rather we send in one person first as a scout, so we actually know what we're facing. Second option is that only one person is physically able to go through via a wish. If that's the case, then I think that Savathun planned, from the start, to turn Uldren Sov into the Lightbearer who'd follow the Witness through the portal. As the ultimate contingency, in case literally everything else failed (which it has). Everything that happened to make Crow the Guardian he is, not counting him creating the Scorn, happened in part due to Savathun.
Although it may sound a bit silly to try to put limits on space magic, I think it's the nature of what kind of wish Riven can grant. Riven says she'll "tangle" the energies of the portal using the Ley Lines to stabilize it enough for traversal. However, Osiris has been saying that the Veil--and thus the portal, which was created using Veil energy--is chaotic, an uncontrollable sea of raw emotional energy (which is why we can't control Strand like we can Stasis). Taming that ocean, even for a moment and with the help of the Ley Lines, sounds quite difficult. Savathûn may very well have wished for "the Guardians to follow the Traveler through the portal", but only Riven knew that meant first sending one person through to open the way for the rest.
I honestly don't consider the "spoiler" a spoiler. I'm gonna leave a spoiler warning for people who don't know about it and what not. Here it is. Spoiler warning We KNOW it's not "us" (the guardian) going through. When Riven said "passage for one" it's already known it's not us. The Final Shape trailer shows THREE of "us" going into the traveler. So Riven saying "passage for one" means it's not us. The "spoiler" part would probably be the fact that we didn't know who other than "us" going through.
I do have a little hope for story next week. We always get a cut scene every season when the bulk of the story ends, then usually something smaller in the week leading to the new season. From the seasonal trailer we know there is a cut scene, so I hope we get that next week. Not holding my breath though
I said it before, that question Mara asked after the convo with Osiris and Crow, it wasn’t a question…That was a damn threat. That was, “if my brother is lost because of you, again, there is NOWHERE you can hide” 😅 I heard that question and said “I’m in danger *giggle*”
"Play your part, lest I shape you into a trinket of caged hunger to be forgotten in the Guardian's vault" Arguably the best line ever... and absolutely accurate 👌 😂
what most likely will happen is we get the week 7 story next week, but there will be a end of season mission similar to the one for seraph that comes out at the end of the season. I’m doubtful this is the last week for 5-6 months but I also could be wrong
I feel like with what they announced of extra content to bridge the waiting period until Final Shape, sometime after next week, we'll be tending to Riven's clutch, feeding them and sustaining them through small wishes every week, as some of that extra content is called "whishes". With the bonus content likely starting to coming out in February, we'll probably have a couple weeks empty until then, starting next week.
This plan reminds of the legend of Thesus and the Minotaur. King Minos daughter Ariadne gave Thesus a ball of string which he could use to find his way out of the labyrinth after he killed the minotaur, except in this case we'll be following Crow and Mara's string in.
Though the guest narrators were a pleasant distraction, I did not realize how much I missed your voice until I heard it just now. I believe it agitated my molecules. Welcome back!

Serious lore questions. 1.) Is The Guardian the strongest guardian? There’s a lot of different lore that implies so and otherwise. Also gameplay depends on the person, and by that measure it’s really hard to say. Saint 14 bodying savathun upwards of 10 times back to back, Ana bray leaving behind sunspots that lasted years, Eris becoming the most powerful hive god, and many other stories of the legends in the story. None of them have done things that The Guardian had done though, or nearly as much it seems. The Guardian has killed 2 hive gods in the story modes, destroyed the heart of the black garden, killed a worm god, defeat the vex mind closest to simulating the light, killed ghaul, and a slew of a lot of other strong enemies. What’s y’all’s thoughts? 2.) Is riven the strongest ahamkara? This builds off of the last question, but the answer of that one would decide the answer of this one. Majority of the ahamkara were defeated by fireteams, but there are examples of 2 and sometimes even 1 guardian to kill an ahamkara, but 6 to kill riven. If riven is the strongest, that makes sense, but if they’re all around the same strength, then that puts the strongest guardians as Saladin and shaxx it seems like, and that 1 pulse rifle that killed the ahamkara posing as that one guardian’s mom. Idk, again, what’s y’all’s thoughts?
I would point out that we *should* be getting the end of the season by April because we'll be getting the Into The Light stuff starting 2 months before the season ends
Daaaaamn, that was a mad thing for Osiris to do, as Mara is not always "forgiving" to those who interfere with her actions. Anyhow, Bungie better have some good filler stuff for the long wait for The Final Shape. Otherwise the player base is going to get tetchy.
I'll admit...I uninstalled Destiny 2 for other games because Bungie screwed up...however, I enjoy the lore so I will continue to live D2 through Byf til a later date. RIP
bungie confirmed that the seasonal story won’t be delayed and will carry out accordingly when they announced the delayed for final shape and announced things like wishes and into the light. They clearly have several things set up for us in the months to come. We’ll have maybe a month or 2 break before stuff gets serious with into the light and WISHES which I believe begin soon. And guardian games will be extended and activities will be adjusted for GG specifically as they want us to feel more engaged this year since it’ll be a little longer than usual. I’m most excited for into the light thou. Idk what’ll happen with it, but I’m very intrigued. They said that’ll begin around April with an update on final shape with their progress and it’ll last until June before FS officially releases. HOPEFULLY that fills in the gaps nicely. But we shall see.
funnily enough, I never actually saw that leak as a leak when I first read it. I figured it was a rare case of character misnaming, as I just thought "huh. Crow?? he hasnt done anything! and he's not even on the other side of the portal!" I figured you could just replace Crow's name with the Witness and it'd make more sense. call it naive but I'm sure you all would've wanted to have that same obliviousness so as to not be spoiled as easily
I think Byf might be right about the endgame event for when we reach the release of the Final Shape. I could see them getting the way into the Traveler set and either the Taken or the Vex trying to interfere with Riven either stepping in someohow or us being successful My biggest thing though is what's gonna become of Riven and Taranis's eggs? What can be done to keep this generation of Ahamkara safe?
I believe that will be answered in the bonus content coming in the waiting time until Final Shape. Part of the content is named "Wishes", so we'll probably do something there to keep them safe until they hatch, or something of the like.
You think that when the witness crossed it's not that they are unaffected by the barrier, but the fact that the witness consists of billions of individuals whose thoughts all align towards a singular purpose and therefore the veil, as an entity consisting of mass consciousness, could not help but transport them to the place that fulfills such a purpose?
oh geez i already know, the traveler heart isn't resurrecting guardians otherwise we'd have an army. Crow is gonna offer his body for cayde to possess and that's how cayde helps us.
I know I may get slander for saying this but I’d love it if during the monthly gap (if at all possible) it would be cool to see you do lore on other games like DnD or Warframe.
Were it not for that text somehow sneaking past Bungie last week, this would have been an actually important week with a nice twist, but now it only adds to this season’s long list of narrative failures.
@@colvamoon6962Ok, yeah you’re right. Calling it a “failure” was a bit harsh, but it still lost the impact it would’ve had if it didn’t get spoiled for us.

"Send in the cavalry," he says. How like a Hunter Vanguard. A head canon I have: The Witness is composed of a billion souls, a billion consciousnesses. They didn't all make the passage; as they observed the path, it changed, and rather like a Homunculus in Fullmetal, the Witness was burning souls as fuel to survive the journey, dying over and over, but it had enough souls to not burn them all. I think this made it weaker. I think this is how we'll beat it. Thoughts, Sir Byf?
So- a theory I possibly have about wish magic that is kindve relevant here. Riven says "I cannot change Savathun's *intent*" which is 100% true. Although, Riven does have the possibility to change her *interpretation* of the wish that was spoken. We see this all the time with every faustian bargain any Ahamkara makes. They take the words and diction of the spoken wish and alter the outcome, the interpretation, of the wish. They even feed off the difference of reality that either wish being granted makes. More interpretation could equal more upended realities that cease to be due to the outcome. The question now becomes; *how* did Savathun word her wish? We aren't told this, I honestly don't think we'll ever be told this. All we do know is that Riven and Savathun know. I just wanted to mention that Riven's excuse if "Well *I* can't change the intent of her wish" is a red herring. No one can change the intent, but ahamkara change the interpretation of wishes all the time. And Riven excels in doing so too.
Geez it was not a leak it was a planned thing when he was revived, but a lot of ppl do not know about the Staten Cut. Also other hints that were provided within the game. Plus to top it all off DSR predicted that Crow was important as he had a special connection. I see the one they call a hater was the one who was right. You guys Crow is one many takes Micheal Moorecock’s character called the eternal warrior and we are the other. The narrative is coming to a halt not a closing end lmao Byf please remember we still have the mid season patch to go through. Then once May and June roll around you’ll get your story end to this season.
“I’m going to scout the Traveler and open the door for the rest of you.” At this point Zavala should offer the Vanguard position to Ana to fill it and have her defer to Crow instead. Age isn’t a factor when Uldren/Crow is older by their memories. It even makes Cayde-6s will self ratifying if by Cayde-6 saying his things went to who killed him that would be his title and position also. Ikora even objects to Cayde-6s will as it could leave a hive god in the Vanguard.(that aged as well as milk)Can even have Ikora swear him in on Cayde-6s will.
Crow still has to deal with Fikrul though, probably in the revenant episode He might still get mentioned of his whereabouts throughout this season, maybe right before Into The Light launches
Riven herself says that even Wish Magic has limits. Wishing a Paracausal being such as the Witness out of existence would be significantly more difficult of a Wish to grant than letting someone go through the portal to the Pale Heart. It would more than likely be completely impossible, due to how Paracausality works.

1) If Crow goes through the portal, there NEEDS to be a cutscene with him meeting Cayde
2) Mara's burn was on point
And 3) id love to see sunbracer esque gaunlets for strand, maybe if Osiris has his final death, saint gives them to us(Warlocks)
I love that strand ornament idea
Zavala also told this to Caiatl at the end of the fight with ignovun
Nice explanation for the sibling bond to be felt through dimensions.
About time Bungie shows Osiris being a Strand User.
I'm glad you're better Byf! It's so good to hear 6our voice again.
8:09 A stronk connection indeed.
No shade though, I love your work. Glad to see you're feeling better.
It occurs that this is, in essence, how we stormed the Dreadnaught. One hotshot slips past the defenses and sets up a transmat beacon, thereby allowing the rest to charge in.
Crows journey has mimicked our own in a few ways, maybe this is his chance to become a God slayer himself
I’m shocked. The plot point actually makes sense. And it’s not just dragging out the story
I was really about to ask about the audacity of crow to say he’s a better fit than the guardian who practically always has a god on their person at all times
Ikora is a strong contender for second, but if it came down to it, we would probably kick her ass
Gameplay doesn’t feel like that because at the end of the day you have to balance it so you don’t just one shot a knight, especially with up to 5 other god killers running around. But if lore is to be believed and it’s pretty normal for a guardian to be able to chain supers yet fireteams died over and over to one fucking shrieker, then we’re probably a lot stronger than it feels
As for the gods we have on us, do you want a hive god, various ahamkhara bones, or something disciple related
Extremely adaptable and resourceful, very powerful at a base line, and determined
I don’t necessarily agree, I do think there’s something inherently strong about us, considering we were the one the traveller reached out to in the red war and all that (despite ikora’s etc. more spiritual nature) and are the target of quite literally every event in the last 10 years, but I can see that line of thinking. We obviously aren’t the best at everything, but I’d say in terms of being a gun to be pointed at every god in the solar system, we’re the biggest one there is
Super glad we covered the delay. No one was wondering about that. No one would expect you to stop
Riven collecting dust in the vault next to Savvy’s worm:
WELCOME BACK BYF!!!!!!!! Love to hear your voice healthy and well again!!!
Also Mara makes the threat to turn riven into a weapon that we use or actually just stick in our vault. She wants to make riven into rat king.
well she kind of already is one thousand voices, now her spirit would be turned into a weapon
Crows knows about uldren, sure. But how about aldwin?
I never read the spoilers, so it really surprised me this week where i learned about Crows Plan
Crow's plan is a lot safer than mine, which is hatch Riven's eggs and have them grant wishes to safely traverse us through
there's a small problem with the story . a guardian does not travel alone .they travel with ghosts .
Maybe Glint will have to stay behind. It would add to the riskiness of sending Crow alone through a portal to God-knows-where, being accompanied only by the Witness while the rest of us can do nothing to help.
I feel like that's a small thing that can be easily waved away so that ghosts don't count if they're just in the guardian's pocket or something
Are ghosts even technically "living beings?" or could you consider them objects?
@@Vasboch I think they're AI? Plus they came from the traveler itself so it's possible theyd be considered an extension of their guardian's light for the purposes of entering the portal
Could be an interesting first mission if Crow dies, but we have is ghost and need to find him and revive him.@@Silencersix
Don't forget about Into The Light!
Crow got that Bluetooth Connection
Cayde.... 7?!
Jfc please actually think before you type out something so atrocious in future, my guy
There is no beacon to place because Crow is the beacon.
@@twiz66 they have to set up a transmat area for us to drop in.
@@twiz66we're flying in with ships, as the other comment said, even if Crow is the beacon to tide us over, we still need a landing zone to transmat to from our ships once we're inside.
Can always fill the quiet the next month with TSLAYP from various games and such. I miss that series
Crow and mara’s “unique connection” creates a massive plot hole in the forsaken story.
I'm feeling this all would be more impactful if we didn't already see what we did in the Final Shape trailer last year. Though I am enjoying it, I feel the possible mystery of it all would have been more impactful
I'm a long time fan thank you for making the videos that you do Byf!
Crow found a way to reach an impossible location with little consideration for what to do when he gets there.
That is the most *Cayde* thing ever. (See the Vex portal in Vanilla D2 and his fast trip down in Forsaken.)
He's the Vanguard now.
Could be Riven limits.
Could also be that a bigger wish incurs a bigger downside. Like let us get an army in but then, an enemy army also gets out.
I think it's down to two possibilities:
First option is the Great Disaster.
If you need ideas for future videos, why not a tier list of all our Exotic weapons and armor based on their lore and stories?
11:04 this is such good writing, even made me sad
Big BYF back in the building 💯👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿
Looking forward to more from you...thanks for the great hard work!
I honestly don't consider the "spoiler" a spoiler. I'm gonna leave a spoiler warning for people who don't know about it and what not. Here it is. Spoiler warning
We KNOW it's not "us" (the guardian) going through. When Riven said "passage for one" it's already known it's not us. The Final Shape trailer shows THREE of "us" going into the traveler. So Riven saying "passage for one" means it's not us. The "spoiler" part would probably be the fact that we didn't know who other than "us" going through.
Also in lore there's always six of us in raids so technically we need more than just ourselves through there.
@@dropkick3024 That's also true!
I do have a little hope for story next week. We always get a cut scene every season when the bulk of the story ends, then usually something smaller in the week leading to the new season. From the seasonal trailer we know there is a cut scene, so I hope we get that next week. Not holding my breath though
I don’t know how many other people found it but there is a lore tab on one of the ships that likely explains Caiden’s return through a wish Crow made.
I said it before, that question Mara asked after the convo with Osiris and Crow, it wasn’t a question…That was a damn threat. That was, “if my brother is lost because of you, again, there is NOWHERE you can hide” 😅 I heard that question and said “I’m in danger *giggle*”
"Play your part, lest I shape you into a trinket of caged hunger to be forgotten in the Guardian's vault"
Arguably the best line ever... and absolutely accurate 👌 😂
what most likely will happen is we get the week 7 story next week, but there will be a end of season mission similar to the one for seraph that comes out at the end of the season.
Any TSLAYP over these next 6 months? I love those vids!
This plan reminds of the legend of Thesus and the Minotaur. King Minos daughter Ariadne gave Thesus a ball of string which he could use to find his way out of the labyrinth after he killed the minotaur, except in this case we'll be following Crow and Mara's string in.
I love Mara threatening her into being a gun

Imagine if we did get sent alone into the traveller and we'd have to complete the entire campaign solo lol
I would point out that we *should* be getting the end of the season by April because we'll be getting the Into The Light stuff starting 2 months before the season ends
Is Into the light happening at the same time as the other bonus content, or later? Because as far as i know "wishes" is happening around february.
5:09 First time for everything
Daaaaamn, that was a mad thing for Osiris to do, as Mara is not always "forgiving" to those who interfere with her actions.
Anyhow, Bungie better have some good filler stuff for the long wait for The Final Shape. Otherwise the player base is going to get tetchy.
I love how mara says she will turn her into a bad gun 😂
Seeing osiris restrain Mara was a big surprise to me 😮
They are going to use Crow much in the same way that the Navigators use the Astronomican to guide them through the warp in Warhammer 40k.
I don't think we'll be waiting that long before we finish the seasonal story quest.
HOLY BYFFFF
I am interested in how this will all play out but boy oh boy does it seem things will only get darker before the light.
Mara acting like her actions won't ruin literally everything, as per usual.
funnily enough, I never actually saw that leak as a leak when I first read it.
I could see them getting the way into the Traveler set and either the Taken or the Vex trying to interfere with Riven either stepping in someohow or us being successful
My biggest thing though is what's gonna become of Riven and Taranis's eggs?
I feel like transmit beckon plan is a big if. It’s pretty risky imo
I know I may get slander for saying this but I’d love it if during the monthly gap (if at all possible) it would be cool to see you do lore on other games like DnD or Warframe.
He should branch out. Destiny is coming to an end pretty soon
we love Byf.
Were it not for that text somehow sneaking past Bungie last week, this would have been an actually important week with a nice twist, but now it only adds to this season’s long list of narrative failures.
How does that makes sense? No, seriously, how does knowing it early make it a failure?
@@colvamoon6962 Cause Destiny players hate for attention. If they used logic, 90% of the community “arguments” would not be there
@@colvamoon6962Ok, yeah you’re right. Calling it a “failure” was a bit harsh, but it still lost the impact it would’ve had if it didn’t get spoiled for us.
@@Silencersixnp, this is simply the problem with hyperboles on the internet. Everyone takes them seriously. Does the twist hit less for those spoiled (I wasn't spoiled luckily)? Yes. But it doesn't make it a narrative failure. I mean,by that logic, the Vader twist in Revenge of the Sith is a narrative failure because we all knew it was coming.
@@OpticStriker98and I would add that 90% of the criticisms come from a loud minority that rage bate because they are constantly chasing a high they can no longer get from destiny because they play it all the time and over set their expectations so they are inevitably let down as always. And that somehow passes as legitimate criticism lol
And Riven excels in doing so too.
...Crow is our pale heart!
Strange hearing the chat audio isolated and not have some room sound effect on it
Geez it was not a leak it was a planned thing when he was revived, but a lot of ppl do not know about the Staten Cut.
Crows choice was foreshadowed earlier in the season
I read this as Crow was going to become a follower of the Witness so I was like WTF, only to find out it was a different kind of follow. Phew
“I’m going to scout the Traveler and open the door for the rest of you.”
At this point Zavala should offer the Vanguard position to Ana to fill it and have her defer to Crow instead.
Next up, we pull an "FBI open up"!!! At the Traveler.
The “spoiler” had been foreshadowed for weeks. Last week was not a surprise.
Crow still has to deal with Fikrul though, probably in the revenant episode
He might still get mentioned of his whereabouts throughout this season, maybe right before Into The Light launches
The only thing we know currently about what he was doing was in the warlords ruin dungeon exotic lore but yeah its possible
Lol Savathun's wish was probably meant for herself to pass through to the Pale heart.
Have they explained why we can’t just wish the witness and its people to never exist?
Riven herself says that even Wish Magic has limits. Wishing a Paracausal being such as the Witness out of existence would be significantly more difficult of a Wish to grant than letting someone go through the portal to the Pale Heart. It would more than likely be completely impossible, due to how Paracausality works.
