Actually kudala it was more acceptable when a woman was more masculine especially the eldest daughter, bathi ungenwe amakhehla. It was only different when it is a man. Also, it is said that in the regiment of uShaka homosexuals were accepted as Shaka also preferred his soldiers to not have families as he believed that weakened the men. Homesexuality is not a new thing. Another point, many cultures and religions do not accept homosexuals, but a discussion should be had, this does not mean that they now need to be cancelled. All in all, understanding needs to be a priority for everyone. The problem is when we as people now want to force things on others. No harm should come to anyone but also no one should be forced to accept things that they do not subscribe to or believe in.
These panels should have LGBTQ+ spiritualists and sangomas as well because individuals without a lived experience often speak from a place of opinion and public sentiment/rhetoric...the existence of homosexuality is a very simple concept which has very clear spiritual understandings and a lengthy history within African culture even before the indoctrination of our culture into patriarchal norms. You just have to ask the right people...
I beg to differ I have a sister who is born with two genitals and since from childhood, she's been acting like a boy even when in puberty she started having a deeper voice and developed mustaches 😢 but we love and support her and her girlfriend. In everything he's been doing growing he's been a boy and now he's more of a MAN, he's married and 45 years of age now.

That's my thing as well. The way homosexuals receive so much hate and abuse, I don't think anybody in their right mind would choose it. I am a straight woman but I know for a fact that homosexuality isn't a choice or a lifestyle or a trend. I don't understand people's reasoning when it comes to this.
