IU has never promoted in America or Europe, but this year she filmed a video for the first time in Los Angeles, did a collaboration with Tweety and announced a World Tour... this can be seen as leaving her comfort zone and the first steps of being a dandelion spore without having boundaries for understanding the world and oneself. "In ‘CHAT-SHIRE’, my first album I took part in producing in my 20s, I used a bunch of flowers as a metaphor for my age.
Be it fancy flowers or small flowers. Back then, I believed that I would be in full bloom when the time comes.
In my 30s, I realised that there’s no reason and no need for everything in the world to become flowers, so I’ve decided to live as a holssi (spore) fluttering softly in the sky.
