Zhou Shen is incredible! His voice is very magical and ethereal at times! (Zhou is pronounced like Joe). His voice never fully descended when he hit puberty and he was bullied when he was younger. He wasn't always encouraged to be a singer, even his parents said he didn't have the look of a star. He ended up going to dental school, but switched back to music and trained as a tenor. He can sing in a lot of different languages and styles. I love Zhou Shen! Such an amazing vocalist. He actually sings one of the OST songs for The Untamed. Once you finish the show you should definitely listen to it. Its one of my favorite OST's of all time.
Actual Song Title is “Listen to the Ringing of Your Doorbell “ It was written & composed by Mr. Gao Xiao-Song, musician, writer, director, host, and bibliophile and ex chairman of Alibaba Music Technology. He has composed many songs but has only allowed 2 singers to sing them to date. When he met Zhou Shen, he was most impressed and decided to sponsor and let ZS sing 10 of his compositions. Doorbell is one of the songs which He gave to ZS in 2016 or so to practice and interpret. However Mr Gao thot ZS 1st version wasn’t good enuf and believed ZS is capable of putting far more emotions in this song. He asked ZS to send him the final version only if he himself feel he is satisfied with his final work on this song.. It took ZS at least 4 arduous years to practice and try various interpretation to arrive at this version. After he sent the final version recorded in his iphone to Mr. Gao who promptly informed him over WeChat video that that was exactly what he was looking from from ZS. This song debutted in 2020 the Singers Show. Incidentally Mr Gao was the first person who truly believed in ZS’s uniquely creative talent, breathtakingly beautiful angelic voice, and personally invested in ZS. He invited ZS to his LAX home recording studio to record his first CD of 10 songs.
PS You are exactly right on. He spent his entire childhood, pre -teens and teen years listening to practically as many singers song as he could coz singing makes him happy. It was his escape from the cruel teasing of his classmates of his girlie voice. However his choir teacher recognized his talent.

ZS’s duet with various male singers are especially wonderful because he re-arranges old/new songs and loves encompassing/mix music genres in them to make them more interesting to current audience. He always add nuances of classical music into modern songs bcoz he feels they make modern songs more unique.
Note: ZS only started classical music training around age 19-20. Prior to that he learned his music thru listening and practicing them on his own daily. In His childhood ,teen n early adult years, he rarely goes out or socialize bcoz of his fear of being branded. So he totally immersed himself in his music, imagining himself in every song he learned and sang and starting thinking about how he could make songs hi likes better

Also afaik this was the first time Ring The Doorbell And Listen To Yourself was ever performed, the person who wrote it agreed that Zhou Shen could perform it, but it took him a few years to get his voice to where it needed to be to do it justice.

Welcome to Zhou Shen's family. FYI, all Zhou Shen's performances have not been autotuned whatsoever and he always sings with a full open mic which not so many artists will do nowadays because of their abilities. By the way, you only listen to 1% of Zhou Shen's talents based on this video.
To tell you a bit about Zhou Shen's background. He is from China. He got bullied when he was young just because his voice didn't change when puberty came but that was not his choice and people called him names..... because of that he didn't sing in front of people for a long time and he even tried to tone down his voice when he speaks. It takes a long time for him to accept his own voice again and gets where he is now all around the world.
He studied Dentistry in Ukraine when he was young but because of the language barriers, he changes to study Classical music there instead. His goal is to combine Classical and Pop music together to introduce them to those who didn't know what Classical music is. His vocal range is very wide and his breath control is extremely good. He is a polite, funny, and humble guy. He can sing at least over 12 different languages. He can even sing 6 different vocals in one song which is called “Dalabangba’. His music has so many different genres.
If you are willing to dig into his performances, you will be amazed by his talents. A lot of music can heal people's bodies but not many can heal people,'s, souls. Zhou Shen's music is one of them that can heal your soul. Even with his high note, it will not hurt your ears, not like so many artists out there. Zhou Shen is special is not because he can sing high notes, but his high notes are so smoothing and beautiful which is not piercing at all! As a matter of fact there are some who can sing higher notes than him, but not the kind of beautiful and high notes that he can sing!
He had this angelic voice which is very rare even in China which had a huge population and a lot of good singers.

He is the original singer of this song. It was composed a long time ago (was planned as a rock song originally if i remember right) but noone could bring out what the creator wanted. Zhou shen also tried a few years before singer and failed. He tried again here and got approval, so this is the first official performance of it.

Yeah, I totally thought this was a woman from the voice, but was in for an (amazing) shock when I learned it was him. I first heard his voice in his song Infinity, which is used in The Lost Tomb: Sand Sea (I believe, I could be wrong about the specific one). Definitely recommend his music.
