I work around there and I can see they're knocking down alot of buildings and homes day by day. I just hope they knock most of them down so it doesn't look like shit with the bridge all nice and abandoned building around it. Its crazy busy there especially with i75 being closed now. It's probably going to take a long time until its all done. Cant wait to see the finished product tho💪🏽

I'm over the border, and I drove through the neighbourhood. Wow the architecture, the Manses, I was blown away by the economic devestation. I'm hoping (Covid willing) to drives those same streets again soon.

I'm SO tired of driving on the Ambassador every day, it's in truly horrific shape. I don't even care if the new bridge has double the tolls, I'll still use it!

Creative ingenuity at it's best... I just saw the progress on the bridge a few days ago 👍🏾

Curious how traffic will be with the Ambassador Bridge hitting the highway just north of there. Although really they couldn't put it anywhere else with the Rouge bridge there. Also thanks for showing the 75 interchange. I was having trouble visualizing it and wondered the reason for shutting down that gas station at Springwell and Fort. Makes sense now.

I would hate to be the driver who makes a wrong turn from 1-75 onto the bridge road. Hopefully there is a turn around option.

Yeah there would definitely be a turnaround before you leave the US side of the bridge.

Nice video but as someone else pointed out the video is missing the first thing Canadian visitors will see on the left side is Zug Island. Not very inviting at all. Maybe promote crossing the border at night?

I’m happy for the bridge but bummed out that the first thing visitors will see coming into Detroit is Zug Island. What a depressing first impression🤦🏽‍♂️

They won't actually see it as it'll be below them given the bridge is so high and it being on the left side of the bridge.

By the time the bridge is complete, I-75 will need to be paved again....😕

good logically sound design. My only ding on the video is that, for clarity, the initial labels should be for 'Downtown Detroit' and 'Downtown Windsor', not just Detroit and Windsor. Other than that, good work, this is helpful at communicating the project goals.

The bridge is downriver from the downtown areas.

It all looks nice but if the same bad attitude customs agents are there as are at the ambassador bridge, I will still run through Port Huron.

What will the bridge change for Windsor ?? If downtown is not renovated and still all these old ugly houses unsafe neighborhood is there, people in charge should think eager but no one is bold enough to fight this back!

Hopefully that point between the PoE & the I-75 bound split is substantially tweaked in the final product…
Sure, it’s very slow traffic heading first thing outside of the PoE, but that’s still a presumably high amount of weaving between cars & semis…

Now that the traffic is at a crawl because of “mandates” Would be prime time to be restructuring....

I see cars, trucks and pedestrians, where are the bike paths?

    • @ph11p3540
      @ph11p3540 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Most likely runs alongside the main pedestrian way. Bike path may be paved in red or green while the pedestrian side is concrete or black top. US and Canada are not Holland or Finland.
