Thanks for the info mate! Bought my first one today and had a ton of foam come out and it wasn't very cold. Put it in the fridge to chill and watched this video and my worries were put to rest. Can't wait til it's cold

I just got back from a desert hike of 400 miles and beer was on my brain.
I saw these 30 years ago in Japan, the one I saw most often was Kirin beer and it had a plastic golden dragon head fro the spigot . the vending machines in Japan have beer op to mini keg sizes ready chilled. 13 years old is legal drinking age in Japan however few boys ever abuse it. you can drink beer in the open in Japan, on the streets, in Subways and trains. even the platform vending machines have beer in cans also chuhi as well.

I agree with the larger half kegs and 1L bottles, but I see to recall as soon as 2012 that there were still chu-hi machines.
there's still vending machines for beer and cigarettes, but they now scan an ID card to verify that you're 20 or over

Are you supposed to remove the Nozzle after pouring ? Or can you leave the nozzle on for the entirety of the Keg?
You leave it on.
The first glass is always foam. That being said, if your distributor or stocker is rough with the beer, then it will be foam. Don't blame the keg.
Looks like the keg had him game enough to take a punch in the mouth. His bottom lip was split, but he did not give 2 sh@#!@! 😂Best Heineken keg advertisement to date!👍

I can't get the pour right it always comes out foamy even when i tilt the glass and run the beer down it it seems like it tries to come out too fast
I wish more beer brands offered mini kegs. They're great for small parties.

To make it easier to pour make sure the spout touches the glass so that it only gives you about and inch of foam

You can drink it warm, but it’s much better if you get ice to put the keg in.

No, the tap is unique.

I just bought 1, It was $20.00, Is that what they go for? I just did the math... Mini Keg comes out to 12 cents per ounce... A 12-pack of.12 oz. cans come out to 11 cents per oz.
The extra vent is for real draught beer. Very worth the penny.

I'm on my fifth glass of pure foam and it's leaking around the edges. The keg has been sitting in a cold refrigerator for two days! Not happy.

So, foam and leaking right to the end, even after letting it sit in the fridge over night. It was a gift, so can't ask for my money back but might send a little message to Heineken.

There are many small ones that fit it. If not, there should be an adapter, never tried.
once used can the beer sty fresh for a few weeks? or would it flatten?
I would drink it within two weeks.
why does the keg continue to reference the thermometer when they remove the thermometer?
Just make sure it’s chilled overnight, then you don’t need one. When I was growing up, there was none on the kegs.

That may have been changed. Use a fish tank thermometer, or just chill overnight.

$20 is what I pay. It's better than bottled, but you get a little more than a 12 pack. You gotta love draught beer to buy it.

How do you close it when you're done drinking?
The tap is only open long enough for the pour. After starting the keg it's good for about 2 week's!

Because I’m not anal about beer and I can afford it. I could have just filled the beer up forcing the foam out and rake the top like pros, but this serves the same purpose. Reading those other senseless comments about wasting beer is from the inexperienced.
