I appreciate the time you have taken to put this together and hope it helps lots of 5600 owners out there. I have replaced all of the ‘O’ rings on the esport prior to finding your clip on TH-cam, to no avail. Milk still spluttered when attempting to make a chino. I followed your suggestion to replace the spout assembly and had high hopes that my coffee machine would return to bring a useful household appliance. Unfortunately not the case. There was little difference with my machine between the old spout and new spout. Working on the premise, that one piece of plastic is as likely to fail as the next one, after replacing the spout I ordered a new milk jug. Once again I was looking for a machine that could froth milk without all the spluttering. This was not to be. It still splutters on the first mug-a-chino, however, almost works when the ‘milk’ option is taken to complete the chino. The next chino works quite well. When a few hours pass and another chino is wanted, the same ritual is needed to be adhered to. I noticed that the lid assembly, on the new milk jug, is extremely loose on the jug. This creates another issue of the jug not being recognised as inserted into the machine, from time to time. Only way out of all of this is to revert to my POD machine, which was purchased as a temp replacement for the ESAM5600, or buy a new coffee machine with a steam spout, allowing manual frothing. Again, thanks for your efforts.
My replacement part did not come with a small black o-ring which sits next to the brass ring on the white tube into the part to be replaced. I had the same issue as you until I carefully took the black o-ring out of the original faulty part and fitted it into the new part to create a good seal, now it's fine.
More than 7300 coffees made on my 5500 - Changed the carafe, door assembly as it was broken and a few other parts I guess it's time for this one! Cheers.
@ReeceGale Your comment saved me here! I have a ESAM6750 and after installing the new part, just got mostly steam as well until reading your comment and doing the same. Everything now works perfectly so thanks for that! His comment that saved me (might help others): "My replacement part did not come with a small black o-ring which sits next to the brass ring on the white tube into the part to be replaced. Thank you for doing these how to videos. I have a ESAM5500 with the same issue. I took the o rings off to measure them to see if I had any others lying around to play with. When I was trying to get them off I touched the switch (machine was unplugged) and I think I have done something wrong. If I try to get either milk or water with the carafe or spout in place, the screen briefly says "Heating" then just as quickly returns to "Ready". I have ordered a replacement switch and a replacement coupling. Is it possible I just broke the switch or does it sound more sinister? I don't want to throw good money after bad. I can't imagine the steam leaking between the carafe and coupling would be any good to the switch either.
Hello, my husband followed your instructions and now our milk frother is working! BUT now the clean button is not, any suggestions on why or how to fix it?
Tried this and problem remains. Needs to be used once or twice before it starts working correctly. I read some other comments about a small black o-ring, my spare part didnt come with this. So I transferred the black o-ring from the old part to the new and now it seals correctly and works perfectly. Hope this is useful to others, the small black o-ring sits on the white tube, just before the brass section, to ensure a good seal between the tube and the black milk tube part which is what is replaced in the video
I have the 4.350.S and today it's decided to stop outputting milk. Worked fine only 2 days ago! Hoping it's as "easy" to take apart, trying to decide on just replacing the O rings or the whole milk coupling. Any recommendations?
Thanks for your video. My delonghi will let me Descale, but stopped passing milk. I thought it might be the pump but descale uses the same pump I believe. I also totally cleaned and lubed the carafe seals too,as well as the part you suggested. Also, do you have a guide for the LCD repair? My esam6700 lcd is flaking out
Thank you for watching! First of all, check the LCD connection, check the cables to and from the LCD are correct. The LCD may not be faulty just not connected together correctly. You may need to replace the LCD in which case you should be unplug from the main board at the back of the machine and swap.
On my model there is a brass ring, there didn't seem to be a visible silicone ring. However, it's possible the coupling carafé may have one built inside.
@@SamuelL-F mine is the same with a metal bit around it, I'm asking as have bought a replacement part from delonghi with no silicone ring inside it just bare plastic but noticed there was a rubber ring inside the old spout
Anyways have just replaced the clogged nozzle with new part and it works perfect, even though I decided not to put the silicone ring inside the new spout, thank you for your video very informative 😊👌🏻
My problem is that my machine won’t stay on milk when I press the button. It keeps reverting to the escape position and wants to clean the spout. Any suggestions?
This spare part just a plastic pipe with few O rings. What is the problem on the old spare part? What is the difference? I don't understand why need buy a new one.
Добрый день, кофемашина 5600 кофе работает отлично, но горячую воду не выдаёт ,при подключении молочника тоже не работает. Кофе гарячее , подогрев чашек работает, в чём может быть проблема?
Question (great vid BTW v useful) have you found that the hot water feature fails? I have this very machine, no milk issues, just when you select hot water it cleans, no hot water at all.
@@SamuelL-F everything works, just the hot water. You press “hot water tap”, response is “put in water spout” you re seat water spout and steam comes out and display is “cleaning”. Workaround it to fill jug with water and select “milk” option. But it’s not as hot as I get out of my old machine.
That`s all is nice, however, to replace silicone o-rings can help in the most cases. Much cheaper and effective! Secondly. I`m sorry, but the milk jug selector has to be set up to cappuccino, but on your video it`s on flat white position. Thank you
Thanks for sharing this video. My delonghi won’t pump at all when I press the milk button, although the carafe is registered when I put it in with a faint beep. What else might it be?
@@SamuelL-F cheers, I followed the link and it turns out there's quite a few different ones but there's a letter after the part number, mine being a T and I've found the right one and ordered so I'll be watching the video over and over again no doubt 😉

Is there a tiny silicone ring that goes on the white little tube just before fitting it with the new water spout?

Does it make coffee? Could be a water boiler failure or the thermal fuses?

Wondered if it’s a solenoid issue. Thanks for getting back o me BTW
It sounds like the hot water spout isn't being detected by the micro-switch. I wonder if the switch is loose or whether water spout is damaged.
@@SamuelL-F you can hear an electronic “clicking” will pull it apart see what I can see.

Just clean the selection button ( the thin slit above the notch )of the cremá system with a small screwdriver
