Hi there! Well as I`m still waiting for the cabinet to bond tightly again....onto the newly added silicone...I needed to repot my NEW paphiopedilum american hybrid, bought on dec 16. Follow me

Well I am still spraying all 5 days, they are almost gone, these lil 🤬 but here and there you find one. Don't care if it's a dead one, better spray once more... 😉
Will see what I have to repot this year, all were repottet last year. But of course the Paphs! 😊👍

Good morning! Yes! I think I did spray it?! 🤔 Don't remember as I got it before Christmas. But the plant is thick to the base and healthy, no sogn of anything bad on it nor in the medium,, I'm linning for spring so I can order more paphiopedilum and phragmipedium 😁
Hej, the cristata... sigh! Checked my photo archive, mine flowered in Feb. 2020. Im very happy about myself as I bought already a new one from O&M last December. New plant is really good looking and well established in the 11 cm pot it came in.
I have/had MBs only on a few cactus and they are coming back again and again. Killed already 3 qute cacti (mammillarias) which always flowered. They must taste good as the MBs never got to the orchids, knock on wood.
The Hornbach closest to me only has Phals and Den. Nobile (checked their website), so no need to cross the city to go there. Many regards!
Hi there! Seens like tge Aldi store you've got over there has a better selection of orchids than your Hornbach then! The other day I checked my closest Lidl...14 euro for poor nellies and colmanaras and miltoniopsis.. but still a more fun selection than many garden centers has... ah glad you mention it..mealies on cactuses...so that's common then? I love them!!! But still I only have 3 of them I think but the Dragon fruit one, a very very funny gtowing thing.. always has scale or a mix of scale and mealies on it and a lot of them as well! The sap is attracting them or what? As they doesn't seem to spread to the plants next to it. Still struggeling with my cabinet... I obviously made a little hole to the glass,,, when removing old silicone...so now its solid where the first leak was and sipping to the other side instead so still a totoal mess at home... well well that's life
@@KarinsOrchids Aldi had orchids 4 or 5 times a year, Lidl not so often but last year both of them had none (exepet Aldi the belly-button-high ones). My last plants from Aldi I bought in 12/22, Oncidium tigrinum for 8 €.
Usually both had other than Phals orchids esp. around Dec./Jan. but nothing this year. Depending the time of the year the plants were bigger and better looking as the ones in garden centers. The Brassias/Cambrias/Odonts etc. on the Orchid Show last year were smaller and costed around 18 €. Taking into account that the vendors bought this kind of plants only for the show I was very disappointed. End of Feb.we have the annual show again but my expectations are not very high
Mr. Kopf from Kopf Orchideen whom I showed my whishlist once told me that I want find them on an orchid show therefore I started ordering online.
@@annareiter952 I think the quality of the Lidl plants has become extremely poor the last few years. But well,, you've mentioned Kopf many times but although the great nursery it seems to be I really couldn't find much fancying me in stock and that refers to every time i've checked out their site. What about Hennis? Ever bought from him?
@@KarinsOrchids Its a pity that Kopf doesn't have a bigger sortiment but the quality is great.
I remember having checked Hennis webshop once, no big sortiment either. Had a Tol. Snow Fairy double the price of Schwerter.
