Best episode I've ever seen from Munchies -- love the host Kris, what a super cool storyteller. Really love that APL chef Adam who's a dry aging artist and even makes his own knives (!!!), incredibly warm welcoming energy -- I'm def going to APL
August he is the guy that left his gf who was passed out at a bar or strip club something like that right. I remember he didn’t come off that well when pizza show came to la. But I really like him here
Insane Series...I am blown Away by the series. My eyes got moist on occasions and laughed at the Gay Swan Joke "10 years without a single Egg" till I was hysterical.... Loved it highly recommended
5:02wow, did she say "zaytona" as for olives, if so that the close to the arabic word for olives "zayton", well must taken that word when they conquered andulsia and integrated that into spanish
It's a shame that Munchies didn't preface the beginning of this episode with the notation that Baroo's last day of service was Oct 27th and is now no more.
@@Tkenny35 slow? not really. I think it was more about chef's decision to move onto something different. From the beginning of the restaurant, he said Baroo was just a 'test'
O man hell yes!!! I'm literally up planning out another big day of cooking a few Thai dishes, looking at my copy of his Night + Market cookbook. It's a phenomenal book for the amateur cook interested in replicating real Thai flavors. Highly recommend you cop that.

August he is the guy that left his gf who was passed out at a bar or strip club something like that right. I remember he didn’t come off that well when pizza show came to la. But I really like him here
@@filippejic8864 That's the one. Chef's Night Out might not even had had a format back in 2015

We tried to eat there one of the last nights they were open and they were basically out of everything. We left, sadly. Oh Baroo, I wish I knew you.
@@walle8642 What are you talking about? The location wasn't the problem. Baroo was always busy.

Well, I guess everyone has 2 days left to go to Baroo before it closes...
I know, gave me a little chuckle though after Kris talked to the guy about him just disappearing one day
I think it closed on the 27th.
Yup, missed the last day already. www.latimes.com/food/la-fo-re-baroo-closing-20181001-story.html

I financed the building APL was located in after the pandemic/office melt down. I drive past it every day, sad still vacant.

The fact that APL is now closed after all that mumbo jumbo with the exercise is hilarious.

He definitely got chubby since the last video I saw him in.
He literally needs to have that APL guy's lifestyle. You can eat good food, but go HAM on the workouts every morning before you start
