MORE ABOUT ME
I'm Anne of All Trades. In NASHVILLE, I have a woodworking, blacksmithing and fabrication shop, a selection of furry friends, and an organic farm. Whether you've got the knowledge, tools, time or space to do the things you've always wanted to do, everything is "figureoutable."
I became "Anne of All Trades" out of necessity. With no background in farming or making things, I wanted to learn to raise my own food, fix things when they break and build the things I need.
8 years ago I got my first pet, planted my first seed and picked up my first tool.
My goal is to learn and share traditional techniques and skills while showing my peers how to get from where they are to where they want to go, how to do the things they are passionate about, and what can be done TODAY to engage their own community and grow deep roots.
Whether it's carving spoons, making my own hand tools, restoring my antique truck or growing heirloom tomatoes, the farm and workshop definitely keep me busy and support - whether financially through Patreon, through shopping my affiliate links, through buying merchandise, plans or project videos, or even just liking, commenting, and sharing my content with others helps me GREATLY to keep producing quality content to share.

Girl, I'm EXHAUSTED just watching you work.
Those baby goats are the CUTEST THINGS EVER!
Yes they are! ❤
Precious farm! You make it look so easy, but in this video you had a beautiful day. People need to realize this is a 365 day commitment : and wintertime is probably a whole different story.
I have no words, but I just had to say how impressive a woman you have become since I started watching you in 2015 or so. You inspired me to fix my own fence and run a skid steer myself to spread manure and mulch in my orchard. My hubby was impressed. But you impress us all.
“JEFFREY NO!!!!!!!” 🤣 Jeffrey is my favorite animal and these are my favorite types of videos!
So jealous that you have all those animals. I am afraid though that I could never butcher any of them, especially those awesome pigs.
I would love a video on the farm for why you have the animals you have, which are pets, which are for farm profit, and why you picked what you picked.
@Ark-ys2upà
Idea: board with rollers under the dog food bins.❤
Nice, your out the sling.
When I was a kid, people w/pigs more the 2..would make a trip either to the dog food plant or the wonder bread plant..both places sold scraps by the truckload ! Probably not a recommended practice now days...thanks for sharing your story ❤😂
I learned so much watching this video. You guys do a fantastic job. Thankful you share such adventures with the world. 🐐 🐄 🦙 🐈⬛ 🐖 🐕 🐴
The egg hunt was cute lol
Could you teach the donkeys to carry the heavy stuff for you when you are doing the chores?
Wrangling goats can be very challenging! 🤣
I just watched the video about your hand. Please let me say how much I truly appreciate your truth and realness. Thank you. I will be praying for your healing. I just subscribed 😂
They're not running amuck, Anne. They're trying to feed themselves in order to make your life easier. Obviously. :) Great video. Thanks for sharing.
Thank You for another super interesting look into your farm life. Lots of animals in your work load, hope your hand is healing. Thank You for making the video and Adam, for your help, camera work and occasional Donkey herding.
You should try putting some of your hand-less buckets into the locations your egg layers are laying their eggs. put some sand/gravel in the bottom for weight to keep upright, then add straw/sawdust up to about 2-3 inches from the top. The chickens will take to the buckets quite well.....not sure about the others.
That was fun!
"Geoffrey, no!" at the very end. 🤣
I gleaned so many personal epiphanies while watching this awesomness!
*I could not be a profitable farmer. I'm a super hard worker, but my math skills are very weak.
*The art of y'all's functioning universe orbits around thoughtful layers of symbiosis.
*Yes! Guinea fowl are a good deal. Narry a tick on our dogs since my neighbor released them in our hood.
*I believe this is the first time in my life I've written the word "narry". Well, two times now...
Glad to see your hand is healing! If I was a farmer, I’d be foolish to not be following you for all the wonderful, informative ways to manage a variety of animals and to maximize profits!👏👏👏👏👏🙏🏼
Another Great Video 👍 Great content, keep up the great work!
“You’d think it was crack” 😂😂😂 I love you ❤❤❤
Omw that egg is enormous!!
Briggsie is not useless ~ his poop is terrific fertilizer for the compost and he is soft and cute which can be good for your health.
Glad to see you are out of the sling.... I do want to know what that flytape is called ... It would be so much better in my horse stable
Just be careful with it if you have swallows in your barns, or other birds. Horrible when one gets caught in it. I would suggest making a circular hardware cloth cage around it. 😊
This is my DREAM! Just discovered your channel, in love with your videos, thanks so much for making them, I love all the animals!
I am still amazed at how much stuff you know! Good for you girl - what a great example you are.
Disnt realize it that that much food for chickens... agree with the chewing noises... ha ha lol
WOW. You have your hand back!
Blessings everyone everywhere and always
Holly Spirit in action!
I think it'd be great to also have a bit of a view of what all this looks like beside your non-farm work schedule. I love hearing all the math and organizational thoughts that go in to your farm, but it'd also be great to have the context of it in relation to your and Adam's other jobs.
Goats are stinking cute and take a lot of work. Glad to see your hand becoming more functional!!
I've absolutely loved your last couple of videos! Very informative and interesting to see your daily farm routine. You're a very hard worker.
Love the video thank you
How is your hand doing? I hope it’s healing well
I understand the principles of rotation, but it tends to stress your animals as well as you. If you're stressed, so are your animals. These guys doing all these great rotational feats also have interns and are not working full time jobs outside the farm. Their full time jobs are the farms. Do what works for you. To heck with all their lofty rotational grazing goals of multiple times a day. Thats crazy!!!!!
Wow I need Anne to come over for an egg hunt 😂 I can never find mine!! You’re an egg sleuth lol
Love to watch you
It’s my dream to live like you
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ thank you for sharing this beautiful moments with us
This is a high school math class without a calculator.
You guys do a fantastic job. I want to live like you. Love to watch your videos. Thankfully
You can make your own dog food easily from what you’re already growing - another way to save money 😊
I had a dog with dog food issues - I tried every bagged food known to mankind and he just didn’t do great …until I made his food! Entirely different dog! Highly recommend ❤
What did you ultimately use that worked, recipe wise?
Glad to see a smaller bandage on that hand !
Love your videos !! A shopping trolley or something on wheels , could come in handy to move those buckets around . Coming from a bad back sufferer here .. 😂
I love listening to goats chew for some reason.... but not people...
I love these long videos!
It was so neat seeing you on a recent episode of Tennessee Crossroads.....you represented us Tennesseans well!😊
Glad your on the mend!! Loved the video!
NO SLING!!!! We are going to begin raising ducks and sweet potatoes to help out on the dog food costs and since I lost my little dachshund to poisonous dog food(too much vitamin D) we are really looking forward to making a raw food home grown dog food.❤❤❤
Yep, watching you put me back to sleep 💤 😅 Thank you son much. So calming.
So many animals, you work so hard…great video. All the very best from the UK 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
Thank you for sharing your journey 🐶
Love your strength and great work in the farm...thank you for sharing!!
So interesting.
New sub here - you're such an inspiration! Living the (work-intense!) dream :-) I only have 3 dogs (2 Beagles and 1 flock guardian, an Estrela Mountain Dog, to watch over them and the property), but until I found YOUR channel, I was convinced that 3 dogs were a lot of work. Not any longer... You're doing amazing, hope your hand will be all better soon. All the best, have a great weekend. Favorite characters on your channel so far: Those baby goats!!!
I hope your hand is healing well.❤
Loved it! Thanks.
glad to see your hand is healing!
I would just like to point out the obvious and that is that your husband is the luckiest man alive to have you as his wife!!!!
Great video, RESPECT!!!!
WOW ❤❤❤❤❤ FARM LIFE IS THE DREAM LIFE ❤❤❤❤❤
Way to go!
I would love to come and help you!
Anne: your channel is great!
When my brother and I were in 4H we raised a type of pig called Landrace. Very long side of bacon.
greetings from the netherlands, lol ... .change the alpaca's for 5 sheep( and a ram) ...and the donkeys for 4 horses... .add 3 more dogs (1 boerboel , 2 german sheps 2 australiansheps) ....and less ducks... less chickens ... and no cows .. .then its pretty much the same animal bunch we got here ;)
nice video and good breakdown of the food you give em... really enjoyed it
thanks
Adam of no trades 🤣
We lived on a very small farm and had a cow for milk from which wevmade butter.
it is good to see your hand moving a little.
Thanks. See lots of young Hispanic working with tree companies and cash paying companies
my goats poop in the feeders as well. never fails.
❤❤❤
❤
You feed the fly strips to the chickens??😃
Ikr gow does that work? Doesnt it stick to the feathers. I just picture a chicken with a flystrip stuck to its face and all the others chasing after😂
How do you keep your Chaffeye from molding? I buy small bags from co-op and it molds before it’s half gone!
where can we get that fly paper?
I always thought that male goats were not supposed to eat alfalfa. Does the fermentation process of the Chaffhaye change that?
It sure does. Chaffhaye is a superfood and I feed it to every single animal on our farm. I’ve been feeding it to my goats for 7 years and it’s a real game changer
4:12 did anyone else notice the cat 😭
thanks for adding the math ☺️☺️☺️☺️ I keep telling my partner OVER FEEDING is a real issue for animals and my BANK 🏧😅😅😅
You really do need a day job to afford to feed em all.😊
How did you come up with 112 names for them
How are your pigs fixing the pond

How much do spend feed and vet bills per week
I have a vet come once a year unless there is an emergency I can’t take care of on my own, so about $350/year. I learned basic veterinary care, to farrier, train and shear by volunteering at other farms for a few years, which offsets an enormous amount of the regular costs most other farmers have to pay. Feed is covered entirely and (then some) by the sale of eggs, dairy, and meat sales. I have a rule that every farm endeavor must pay for itself, as I don’t have time or capacity for “hobbies” when it comes to the farm, though it’s safe to say that the upfront cost of feed and general care is about $400-$1200 a month for everything. In the winter it’s slightly more expensive than in the summer because less of the feed is supplemented by the farm in real time (like excess dairy and produce for the pigs, fresh grass and forage for the goats and cows) and we have to buy more grain, barn bedding, and use the hay we pay to have cut and stored.
You should milk the bigs
Doesnt your milk from the goats taste bad, having the Billy around?
So… I am responsible for proliferating that myth without proper testing. After more experimentation my conclusion is that the presence of a male goat will exacerbate issues with milk flavor and spoilage time because of the added pheromones, but when your feed/nutrition is balanced and your milk collection process is sanitary, it shouldn’t affect it at all. Side by side taste tests still have every single person who tries my cow and goat milk choosing the goat milk for its sweet flavor, richness and total absence of any musk or “goaty” flavor. It lasts in the fridge for about 7-10 days before the flavor starts to alter even in the least
What brand of soy free feed do you use for your dairy cows?
Koffi, it’s local to us but I bet If you call your local farm co-op you can get the name of a local mill who can do something similar for you!
@@AnneofAllTrades ty!!
What breed are the pigs?
Old spots :)
@@AnneofAllTrades Thankyouu,they are so cute :)
Such an inspiration ❤ Just sent you a DM/email :)
What is the purpose of the donkeys? I haven't seen you use them to pull or carry anything, and you probably aren't going to eat them.
They are trained to pull carts and small farm implements, just because you haven’t seen it, doesn’t mean it’s not happening, about 99.99% of what goes on around here doesn’t make it to the videos ;)
@@AnneofAllTrades That's what I thought. You may have said in another video, but I'm forgetful.
But no horses?
One horse would take more time and money than all the others combined ;)
What happen to your hand?
Late night nacho-making stab wound resulted in a 6 month recovery. Nearly back to normal now, except that I can only give one thumb up these days ;)
HOWDIDYOUBRACYOURHAND🙀
are you by chance left handed, I should know this, I have watched SO many videos, but never paid attention.
I feed my pigs raw eggs…what’s the difference?
I’d encourage you to look into the science of it, I don’t get it either but there are links to raw eggs and fertility issues in females
Ok I’m on it. I wasn’t sure if you already knew.
Thanks for the tip!
