    You can’t go wrong with Truth Quest ! I use it and know the author personally as I’m a member of her private membership library . She’s a lovely person and absolutely brilliant . She’s amazing whenever you have a question . Enjoy !!

      Do you think she will ever update the guides as they were written 14 years ago? I know there's mostly classics included, so maybe there's no need? I'm considering buying it for our next year.

    Thank you for sharing this. Trying to find a good US history for my daughter. I really love the idea of reading books rather than boring textbooks.

      We’ve been loving it so far! It’s so easy to adjust to fit your preferences. Also you can go as slowly or quickly as you want 🤩

    There's also a commentary in the TruthQuest guide (the bold words) that you read to the students that kind of helps direct your study of each topic. Love TruthQuest!! ♥️

      Yes, I forgot to mention that. And I found the lapbooks later too 🤩

    What age for the Viking? What reading level?

    • @AnnieSmithawifenmother
      @AnnieSmithawifenmother  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Probably 6-8th grade at youngest. High school would still enjoy it.

    We use Truthquest history and we LOVE the books we have been reading. History is my favorite now. My girls really enjoy the books.

    Have you seen the binder builders companion to truth quest? They are notebooking pages to go with the lessons you've chosen. A very reasonable price considering you can print them out for as many students as you have. We're really enjoying using them this year with truthquest.

      Yes, I found them shortly after filming this and I’m excited to try them. Thank you for mentioning them; I hope this comment reaches people and let’s them know the binder builder exits ❤️

      Hi! I’m already planning our curriculum for next year. I’m absolutely loving what I’m learning about TruthQuest History.
      Where do I find the binder pages?

    This sounds so interesting! What a great way for kids to learn. I think kids will learn a lot better in this way in comparison to the way kids are taught in a normal school.

    Do you have a sample of a completed Binder builder?

    • @AnnieSmithawifenmother
      @AnnieSmithawifenmother  ปีที่แล้ว

      Unfortunately, no. We did not continue using it just because our schedule did not allow the time. I decided not to get it again this year for history, instead we are doing our own notebooking each week. It’s a great resource, just not a good fit for us in this season of life.

    Which video has the big family update?
    This is at the top of my list when we add in history, looks great!
    This is what learning looks like in my opinion.

      We used the entire book this year and I love it so much! It has so many choices and I could cover the topics I wanted for as long or short as I wanted. It’s such a helpful resource!

    I’ve not heard of this curriculum but have found myself looking for a solid Christian booklist.
    So do you read the bold sections as like the framework?

    • @AnnieSmithawifenmother
      @AnnieSmithawifenmother  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You can if you want. Or you can read it as mom/teacher to understand the upcoming section. I read many of them to my kids.
