After receiving well-deserved flowers from fans, Dimash thanked the "A Studio" group, as well as its leader Baigali Serkebaev, a pianist, composer, one of the authors of the music for this song. It was Dimash's performance in Sochi (Russia) at the "New Wave 2018", a festival and competition for young performers of a popular song. The singer from Kazakhstan was invited to perform at the prestigious musical event as a guest of honor after his great success at the "I'm Singer" TV competition in China. On September 5, 2018, the anniversary creative concert of the "A Studio" group took place on the "New Wave", and Dimash took part in it with the song "Sinful Passion".
This song was first performed in 1998 by the still young Kazakh group "A Studio", soloist Batyrkhan Shukenov. The lyrics were composed by the famous Russian poet Ilya Reznik. A video clip has been released. Two years later Batyrkhan left the group, and in 2015 he died of a heart attack. Without a lead soloist, the song did not sound for many years. And now, by the power of Dimash’s voice and talent, the composition “Sinful Passion” at the "New Wave" festival was revived 20 years later, including as a tribute to the memory of Batyrkhan Shukenov.

📌Who is Dimash Qudaibergen? (pronounced: Dee-mahsh Koo-di-bear-ghen)
Dimash Qudaibergen was born on May 24, 1994, in Aktobe, Kazakhstan into musical royalty. Height: 1.91m; 6' 3'. Grandfather played professional dombra, grandmother was a teacher and sings.
His parents are Kanat Aitbayev and Svetlana Aitbayeva. They have long been known among the people of Kazakhstan and were awarded the title of Honored Music Artist of Kazakhstan: th-cam.com/video/-Hhi1x4LqpE/w-d-xo.html
According to Kazakh tradition, he was raised by his grandparents (Mama and Papa) and for a long time he kept his parents as his brother ans sister in law. They all live together in one house.
Dimash said: “Open my heart, you will find music. If you open my brain you will find music. Music is my life."
He has been training in music since he was 5 years old, has a perfect pitch. He is university-educated with degrees in classical/opera, contemporary music, pop, and jazz with a major in vocal. Dimash also completed a Broadway musical masterclass and has completed his Master's with a concentration in Composition. He graduated with honors’. He has composed 12 of his own songs so far and is currently working on his doctorate. We have to call him soon Doctor Dimash Qudaibergen. 😃
Dimash did not fit the traditional image of a singer in Kazakhstan and was criticized. Even his voice teacher forbade him to sing in falsetto ( Interview with his voice teacher - th-cam.com/video/V7hkcKYAnhg/w-d-xo.html ) ... but he was not deterred, won many national and international competitions.
In 2016, Dimash turned down the offer of the National Opera in Astana because he wanted to go his own way ... He created his own genre: neoclassical combined with classical, folklore and other styles such as pop, rock, R&B and jazz. We laypeople say 'Popera'. 😃
Dimash is independent and has full artistic control over himself. He founded his own company named Dimash Ali.
In 2017, Dimash surprised everyone in China. He opened the eyes of his critical compatriots. Today Dimash is a 'cultural ambassador' for his country and a 'national treasure' (not an official title). He himself is a proud Kazakh and patriot.
Dimash plays at least 7 instruments, traditional dombra is a must in his family. He speaks Kazakh (mother tongue) and Russian (without accent, second language in Kazakhstan), is learning English and Mandarin. He says dancing and Mandarin are difficult for him. So far, he sings in 13 languages. He trains his voice for 3 hours every day, ..but Dimash said: "You don't need to know how hard I've worked, you just need to enjoy the results".
Experts consider Dimash a lyrical baritone with a typically long range. Some believe that he sings his high notes not as a countertenor, but as a natural soprano. He is the first singer to sing all 5 voices: bass, baritone, tenor, contralto, soprano.
His current range is almost G0 - D8 (out of piano)! 7 octaves and 7 halftones! At least, that show us Dimash. 😃

The original group A-Studio is on stage with him. They has this song as a huge hit in Russia over a decade ago. The keyboard artist is the composer of this song. Dimash added a “Kazakh Mourning Wail” as a memorial to the original singer who passed away. Dimash is always full of respect for other musicians and vocalists he is humble and sweet.
Every time I listen to Dimash, I stop breathing. He's amazing. I've been following him for many years and I don't get tired of listening to same song again and again.
Well, he didn't really win the 2017 Singer competition in China, but only because they were not willing to let a 22 year old foreigner win and become the symbol of music in China. But of the course, the Russian announcer probably knew that and was calling the Chinese on their B.S.
They are neighbors, so jabs are normal. Sort of like, he didn't win, but really he did win.
From Dimash's point of view it was a big win. He made the audience jump, scream and cry. His digital music release right after the competition went triple platinum in less than a day. He gained a huge multi-national following. Everything he could have wanted from his first international exposure.

For those who like information about Dimas' songs: The story behind this song is very interesting: The band that accompanies Dimash is the same one that composed the song, without the singer who died after a heart attack! The band is also from Kazakhstan and this performance by Dimash revitalized the song. In addition, the final part he added, with an oriental technique. The song was originally performed in 1998 and the band's name is A'Studio (Russian-based Kazakhstani pop music group, "Alma-Ata Studio", city of Almaty). Dimash starts the song with "you appeared suddenly, oh if you knew that your are my only one" and really Dimash suddenly appeared in our lives and stayed there (at least for me) as well as the song says, the only artist.
What you said is exactly what Dimash has been saying all along. When asked about his voice and octaves he always says it’s not that very important. It is important to him that he takes us to another place where we can forget our problems. The piano actually mimics the falling of raindrops as the lyrics of this song say. Dimash has a great arranger who knows how to use Dimash's uniqueness and can make a work of art out of just ordinary songs. When you would see the original of this song, you would understand what I was talking about. In short, I’m not moving forward because it would be too much. Please continue, I would like to see your reaction on OMIR OTER, but include subtitles because the lyrics are very deep and important. Dimash loves to sing message songs and this one actually talks about his view and his own life motto.

I have just started watching your reactions to Dimash, and love how much you love him, and his humility and his talent. I discovered Dimash in 2017, soon after he took part in The Singer competition, and I don’t think I could live without him, and his music now.
He has so many amazing songs, but my personal favourites are Ikanaide, which is just Dimash and a microphone. No band, no stage, just completely stripped back. He sand it in Japanese for the 20th Tokyo Jazz Festival. Even that just shows his respect, by singing it in Japanese 🤗
I love Omir, both versions, but Omir live version is very special, as he performs it with his brother Mansur. Please add the subtitles, as the words are beautiful.

He’s 39 and from Korea. He has the most heartwarming voice when it comes to ballads. When he announces an upcoming concert , it is SOLD OUT SRO in less than 15 minutes ( 40,000 fans). Let me offer if I may a sample from his 2015 “Happy Together” concert titled “it’s you” ( click the 4 minute one that was filmed by a fancam because it’s the only one that has ENG SUB [english subtitles]. I don't know if blue is his favorite color, but as an artist myself, blue is a cool color symbolizing calm, relaxation, peace, etc. and I've noticed that the stage is mostly blue when he's singing in his whisper or soft and slow parts of the song. Like in S.O.S. Digital Show, It starts off blue. When the song gets more intense, it shifts to red which is a warm color which has energy, power, etc. Just my observation. Don't know if that's what it is or not.

This past winter, they posted that he had a 7 octave 2 note range, but when Dimash was asked if we had heard his entire vocal range, he said "no".
The lower range of Dimash is within a couple of notes of the great Basso Profundo, Avi Kaplan. Now granted Avi's voice is much weightier and fuller and carries a much deeper sound, but Dimash can land directly on those low notes as we saw in the song Stranger, he just does not have that profundo sound Avi does.
Avi is also classically trained and had hire /invitation papers in hand for the L.A. Opera House as his music career took a complete turn when he was hired by the A Capella group Pentatonix. He was with them for 6 years, totally burned out from their schedule and
his mother's illness. He left PTX, took a few years to get his being back on track and is releasing his first full studio album day after tomorrow, though he has released some EP's.
He is totally different from Dimash in his music. He is a prolific writer, and his genera is now folk, Americana folk, bluegrass, country, western and very nature oriented like John Denver and has a song that puts you in mind of James Taylor. Dimash and Avi are my two favorite singers. Two totally different sounds but both musically talented to the core.

Je sais pas si tu le sais ,mes dimash idolâtre lara fabian ,lara est l'idole et à était l'inspiration de dimash.
Il a repris plein de chanson de lara comme adagio ou encore mademoiselle hyde ou même know.
Quand elle chante elle met toit son âme dans la chanson au point d'être parfois fatigué après son interprétation.

Мне оочень нравятся Ваши реакции на нашего любимого Димаша. Но по мне так слишком часто останавливаете. А Димаш будет вас поражать с каждым разом. У него только на песню SOS мног исполнений начиная наверное с 2015 года если не ошибаюсь. А лучше посмотреть видео "Димаш стонавление" Странник песня тоже есть в другом исполнении. His range is 6 full octaves- but he can dip into more. He can get into the first octave but only with fry- and he can get up into the 8th octave but only to hit a single whistle note- i dont think that counts as 'singing' up there lol- its not like he can incorporate notes up there into a phrase. So it depends how you define what a singers 'range' is- thats where the discrepency comes from.
Notes he can use properly in 'singing' lyrics etc probably range from d2 to f6 - but like I said - can he hit lower and higher notes for specific purposes - yes! d8 is his highest ever note- and I think only 1 or 2 people have ever hit slightly higher - 1 was a guy in laboratory conditions and 1 is a women with obviously nowhere near his low range. And I bet neither of them can sing high as effortlessly.
