because you didn't update your game and this is new update auto upgrade....this is totally new update for your account right now because you started your account recently after auto upgrade update...
About a month ago I had left my base at th 6 last year and I saw everything upgraded that said to move to the next town hall so I upgraded and upgraded and got all defenses upgraded
I was a rush player before I stoped playing the game after 1 year I got all upgraded so it was like restarting the game but at a max th 6 it took like 25 days to finish all upgrades on 7 and on th 8 it took like 1.5 month and now I’m a th 9 player that just finished upgrading I could show you the th9 base if you want
that's just 2 weeks worth of upgrading😭

Just enter the game once every 2 months and after a few years you will have completed the game 100% without playing
That's not how it works, it only auto-upgrades your base once in a year
