This is the epitome of Second Lead Syndrome. Even though the main story was good. Siwon's character and Siwon's fabulous performance were just _that_ outstanding.
Ikr...it was the first k-drama that I watched and since then I've been non-stop! And the siwon was such a character who just made me cry forever!! Oh my God, I still can't with this syndrome 🤧🤧
Siwon was so honest and loved her as her.. he saw the hidden beauty in her.. Siwon was protective of her.. i was rooting for Siwon and i feel his pain coz he still loved her after all those time.. and so many funny scenes and "dates" between them.. they actually have a very good chemistry.. now i want to see a movie of Siwon as lead and him getting the girl too..
I know.. it just kills you to see another girl with another handsome man, but then the other handsome man comes in, then your just feeling bad.. well at least to me
This was one of the most realistic drama I've seen... The events shown in this were really good, close to reality. It felt so good to see childhood sweethearts come together because most of the dramas kill the childhood love. This is one of the reasons i loved watching this drama. ITS A MUST WATCH.
no i dont think so, maybe he likes her for the frizzy hair and all, but the other dude accepted her for who she is, even if she changed herself he still accepted her, the seconde one was complaining why she changed herself the whole tim, NO if a girl wants to change herself, let her. Glad to know I wasn’t the only one REALLY struggling with 2nd lead syndrome for this one. I couldn’t even finish the drama years ago, when I sensed she was definitely ending up with Seo Joon. Yeah, we were down bad with this one 💜

The thing I loved about she was pretty was that you couldnt NOT like the second and first lead cause both of them were just so amazingly amazing. Even the protagonist's female best friend was likable towards the end

This is wrong! The moral of the story is you must only love your childhood crush no matter what? And you must be pretty to be loved? Kim Shin Hyuk loved her personality, he was sweet and caring and had so much love to give her. She should have realized that true love can come from the most unexpected places, looks and childhood expectations are not what matters most.
Off course you better watch it🙂. Because it's not only about childhood love. It's about the way you look at your partner. Because when he was kid and was not good looking still she liked him and it's the opposite in their youth. So he must love her as she did. I think it's about internal love , they are love eachother by their character and personality not by appearance. Sorry for this long explanation 😅
Like 2 comments said watch the drama again. Psj never criticized her looks in the drama he criticized her work. And in the middle part you can see that psj started to develop to his old self again the more he hung out with the female lead which leads to him only being strict because of his work.
