nice one, I often get stuck moving into the next section of songs. especially the break. I really enjoy when a song brings in a brand new element into a break and i find myself sometimes struggling to come up with something that meets my imaginary standard. but songs that Ive written that i really like, do have a lot of continuity from drop to break, so often times Im just overcomplicating it. however, im still learning how to add that last little spice to make it truly great. I hope you continue to make vids with these types of tips. progressing ideas is something not often spoken about on tutorials. often times the main focus is sound design or automation or something like that which is important but songwriting is also important! its kind of the entire cake :):)
100% mate!! 100% agree with you that this is not so commented and that's why I decided to make the video like this. Kinda questioning if I should continue this song now, since I did only for this video By the way, if interested, I do give 1on1 lessons via zoom so if you're getting stuck, maybe that's something that could help you out. Very helpful and informative video. Something i was struggling with myself but i used lots of reference tracks to improve my understanding on song layout but this vdo definitely helps alot.
Heyoo David! Well, I always like to know if the song is going somewhere before I lay down the plan for it It's like trying to guess the whole structure before you know if the smallest idea works, you know? Don't forget to join our Discord Channel abstraktmusiclab.com/discord
Good question!!! I really like the simplicity of LFOTOOL, but Shaperbox is proving to be a lot more helpful imo.. the ability to see the kick inside the spectrum while doing the shape, you know. Plus, it's cheaper, so I've been recommending Volumeshaper 7 alone Don't forget to join our Discord Channel abstraktmusiclab.com/discord
Drop 1 is the 'intro drop'... so yeah, you get their attention on drop 1... then you keep them hooked on drop 2 by making them more interesting, makes sense?
Man this is JUICY data, and the way you transmit it is just perfect. Thumbs up and subscribed!
Glad you liked it BRuno! Thanks for the Sub!

if Drop 2 is more interesting than Drop 1, shouldn't it be the 1st Drop to catch the listener attention?

Makes sense, atleast from my perspective as a listener..i would expect something even more epic on drop2. Drip 1 builds the anticipation.
