As mentioned in several comments, if you love linen and cotton, you definitely need a steamer-- a portable one is less than $30. Or maybe you could pick one up at a thrift store or yard sale!!!! Forget ironing. No one has time for that, especially someone with 3 children 6 and under!
I always put a matress cover on the bed and then fitted sheet ir will save your matress
If you have not wore it in the last year --if you don’t like it-- you don’t like the way it looks on you --it’s time to donate it or sell it 😊

I am fussy about my blouses, but don't want to iron for hours, so...I learned to get a pack of tiny spools of different colors of thread at Dollar General and just take a few tiny hand stitches at cuff seams. Collar points, top of button collars etc. It holds these areas in straight, perfect shape and stitches are invisible. I machine was on gentle then shake or vigorously "whip" tops to get wrinkles out...then button up and hang up on hangers on clothesline or shower rods etc. Works great.

Just wanted to tell you that I went on my first big thrift trip today and it was amazing! I got so many nice clothes for my daughter, some books and the cutest basket that she’s going to use as a flower girl in my sister’s wedding. Today we collected flowers and acorns in it. I scored some amazing stuff! So thanks for the inspiration. 😊

Great video, Kristen. As far as your clothing, just be real with yourself. Linen is awesome, but it has to be ironed. Are you willing to do that? Lol I feel it's more stressful to hang on to things you're not sure about... and then have to continually go back and revisit them. I recently completely simplified my wardrobe and it's liberating! I want to wear the clothes I have, not just let them sit. Take care lady and God-bless!❤

LOVE the painting over your daughter’s bed ,what a delicious moody “in the best way” piece of art .I would love to find one like that for my own home.Kristen you could wear a paper bag and make it look good .Try doing a keep pile and a maybe pile for two weeks before you make any final decisions .I find everything seems easier after a little tine has passed . Invest in a small handheld steamer, I got one for around $20 at Wal-Mart, it really does cut down on ironing. I am a linen girl too and it works beautifully.
The button down shirt with blue striped linen -the one with the tie at the bottom is from Costco! I have it and love it! I am a committed ironer.
I find ironing very satisfying.
Use a steamer or your flat iron you use on your hair. You can also use the flat iron on milar bags to reseal snack bags. I picked up one at goodwill & keep it with my food storage.
Reese is with our Keisha, our Lizzie, and our Heisman. Father God has them and they are having a ball together. Glad you and your friend made out at your yard sale. We are still waiting for that tour Kristen. ALL IS WELL. SHARED TO THE BURGH

I love all of your linen pieces! The trade off of them natural fibers is of course, ironing. Try a hair straightener. Maybe that will work for the sleeves and collar area. I do take my time ironing mine hehehe!

For the linens you love, you just need to iron them. The black dress is cute (maybe belt it?), but not really funeral appropriate.

Yeah, letting clothing go is very hard! We are still trying for baby number 1! I would recommend keeping the brown skirt and maybe 3 of your midrise jeans, 1 in light, medium and dark wash!
Kristen keep the black dress you can wear it any wear. Love it on you. Tip I take my linen clothes out after drying for ten fifteen minutes when they are still wet then straighten the color sleeves and hang up wet. Or the day before you want to wear your shirt I have a water bottle and spray wear the sleeves or collar is wrinkled. I love downy wrinkle releaser and a little steamer works too. Rosy so adorable.
I think they all can go. Trust your instincts, if you are showing them and having to justify why you kept them, they need to go. Remember all the beautiful clothes you have 😀Linda
You can also use a straightening iron to smooth out the linen pieces!
I agree if you have not woren something for quite so e time, move it out.
Heres a tip. I always use a mattress pad on my matresses.
Helps the wear and tear on the mattress and helos to keep it clean. Just a thought%
Congratulations on the huge success of your garage sale! I was thrifting yesterday for my fall/ winter wardrobe and I had amazing good 👍 finds! I have tried a few times ( unsuccessfully) to be more minimalist and it's just not me! I am going to embrace the qualities of frugality in the areas I am passionate about & enjoy my clothes!

I've never tried it, but my Mother-in-law told me if you spray before ironing with vinegar and water mixture. After a few times of doing this it will not wrinkle anymore. She usually new what she was talking about. Maybe worth a try since you love linen so much.

Linen is nice, but a pain as it needs ironing to look good. You’re such a busy mom I’m sure there’s no time for ironing linen.
I think you will need to iron or steam the linen shirts. I used to have an iron and ironing board set up in a room so it made ironing easier. I don't have a room currently to do that but kinda wish I could do that again. It helped.

Someone told me of a good way to decide what clothing to let go of. After you've worn an item, replace it on the hanger w/ the hook turned backward. If, after 12 months (4 seasons) you still have hangers hooked forward, those are the things you toss. Exceptions are made for cocktail dresses or other things you still like & just don't have occasion to wear for long stretches. I've found this approach gets the job done, so just want to share it.:))

So funny your shirt try on! Girlie linen is IT!! Get out an iron once in a while! 99 percent of the shirts are darling! Iron them up and put them together in a special spot and save for special wear. Nothing feels better for a date night or lunch with pals than clean well fitting jeans and a crisp linen shirt! The exception: you are correct peach is not exactly your best color! Rock on!

I'm super pro-thrifting... But I have stopped at shoes for my daughter. I heard that when they're older and wear shoes a lot, the first kid to wear them imprint their foot pattern. It can then mess with your kids' gait. 💕

I think on the same day as you when you told us about your beloved dog, another vlogger was sharing that she just found out that her 28 year old son has stage IV cancer. Throat and now in liver. She reached out to us to receive support and prays for her son…it was heartbreaking 🥲 Prays for this family. Being a blogger is her only source of income so she can it stop must carry on even though she is suffering 😢

I find if you don't wear a piece of clothing, it's time to part way's.
Also linen is definitely a fabric you have to iron and use fabric spray during this ironing process.
Closest's also spark joy, when they're coloured co-ordinated. I do like your timber coat hangers in your robe. I remember when you purchased them.😀

All the clothes look great on you. Linen needs ironed after washing. The things you say you don’t like is it needs ironing. Cotton also needs ironed to look good.
We just bought a new mattress too. You need a mattress protector, if you get stains or tears , the warranty is void!
If you're going to choose linen, it's going to be wrinkled and need ironing. They go hand-in-hand. And if those jeans shorts are about to come back into style, keep them.

Do you have a small hand held steamer. I don’t like pulling out the iron either. But you can steam a shirt in mins and it looks as good as an ironed shirt. Amazon has some good inexpensive ones

Put the levi's in the attic if you have too, even if you gain or lose weight. I also thrift all the time, so I easily will donate something that does not fit my body or make me look pretty. The cost $3 right! Let em go! Our style is always evolving. Just last night I cut 4 inches of my hair into a lob, it only took one video for me to get the scissors out LOL You cheer me up! thank you

Omaha is right on the border between Nebraska and Iowa. And yes! So much work.
I don’t like to have garage sales. My husband sells all my things way too cheap. We had a garage sale years ago. I went in the house for some reason, when I came out he had sold all my dresses. I wasn’t asking a fortune for them. But he sold them all together for almost nothing. He now goes to the flea market with his stuff, not mine. We used to go to a lot of garage sales when we lived in another state. I’m not sure I have seen very many where we live now. Your closet looked so good when you were done. Mine is always a mess. I have way too many clothes, shoes and purses. I go through and take things out that I don’t wear. But I keep buying more. It’s getting ready to turn a little chilly here. But I’m afraid to get rid of my summer clothes yet. It’s only supposed to be cold for a few days. And I’m ready for that. I’ve only been buying fall and winter clothes.
If you have reasons not to wear it these are the things that stop you pulling it from your closet (it’s time to go ) I place tags with use it or loose it so the next time I go through I can see if I’ve used it 😊

I suggest in your close that you remove the bottom shelf, move the rod up and add a second rod under. Hang your jeans then. Put a step stool in there to access the unused top shelves. Have fun!
All you need to do is iron those shirts. My grown kids never iron either but it can make stuff look expensive if its ironed. 🤗 and those are some great clothes
