Monty on the Run is a platformer released for C64, Amstrad CPC and ZX Spectrum and is the 3rd release in the Monty Mole series. It is commonly known as having one of the best music tracks of the C64 era, which was notably featured in I Wanna be the Guy. The story goes as follows: On the run from the authorities after his escape from Scudmore Prison, Monty the Mole must escape from his house through the criminal underground and head toward the English Channel and freedom in Europe.
DrD2k9 ( tasvideos.org/... ) gains freedom in record time.

I keep forgetting how amazingly long this song is, holy shit they put so much effort into it.
It's so long, that this run isn't long enough to hear the whole loop. According the recording of it I have, it only starts again after 5 minutes and 49 seconds.
Rob Hubbard did the music for this one right? He did Master of Magic too, another godly tune.
Correct, it's Rob Hubbard. He composed a lot of memorable tracks in the C64 era.

Dears, I am desparately looking for someone, who would play the game till the end, but without music. In main menu, press F1 to turn music off, then just sounds remain in the game. Would be enough just to have it from Sir Clive's C5 till the end. And why? I am adding the SID chip music to ZX Spectrum game, and I have not located 3 sounds. Either they are not used in the game, or they are after Sir Clive C5 part. But my poked version of the game crashes in VICE emulator, when I enter Sir Clive's C5. Many thanks.

I've never played this game before or seen it played, but I absolutely recognize the first minute or two of this song from somewhere (perhaps the into of some gaming TH-cam channel or something?) but I can't think for the life of me where I heard it.

I'm guessing MotR was only ever released on tape.
The look of the game kind of reminds me of "Below the root" but that game was about a children's book and this one is about British stuff. Looks like fun though.
The music is awesome! It deserves a metal cover.
