Been a fan of JYP artists/groups since 2010. The reason they can diss or joke around with him is because he's actually close with them. I know lots of people think he's very controlling since he's a bit strict and a perfectionist but people seem to forget that he's a great songwriter and mentor to his artists.

been a long time fan too and like you said, he is a great mentor to the artists. people highlight the artists dissing or making fun of him but there are a lot more behind the scenes. at the end of the day, jyp is still someone who they respect and look up to

Yes, GOT7 shows a lot of respect despite the mistreatment. They still know how fortunate they are and are really thankful to JYP even though they block their songs

For the rock paper scissors, Jyp mak a special song for Jyp nation concert (a concert with all artists in JYPE), but since there were too much people, all artists play rock paper scissors to decide who get to sing the song ... JYP couldn't even sing his own song ...
Jimin is such a queen..even tho she left jyp I love that her first vlog for her yt channel is visiting jyp..you can see that she's comfortable in there...jyp might have favorites and all but you can see his relationship with those artists that left jype are still good..he's not the CEO anymore so there's a lot of divisions that manage the artists under his company..

JYP has lost my respect since a looong time ago. He has mistreated and controlled his artists multiple times. Don't even get me started on the way he treated SKZ during their reality show. My God.
I'm sorry but just in that case I don't think I have never see a reality show for making a group under JYP or any company great. It's a bit the think with reality show and honestly for me the Stray Kids' reality show wasn't the worst. What he said may have been tactless but it was true and it was for the good of the group. I don't think that without it the members would have become what they are now.
Euhh girl that's why it's a reality show . He did what he did and they became who they are because of that .
But controling your artists isnt weird when its his reputation on the line. He has decades of experience and his artists are just starting. Ofcourse he will be controling about the end product. But seeing how many of his artists still troll him, in front of millions, shows how they are pretty comfortable around him

I find it sad that new fans are clouded by this hatred towards jyp pd. he is actually a good person and a great mentor. unfortunately it is always the bad people likes to highlight than the good. the artists gets to make fun of him because they are comfortable with him. got7 even calls him hyung. at the end of the day, he is someone who shaped them as an artist and you can tell that they respect him.

This may seems all lighthearted and cute. The interactions between jyp and the idols under his company, and yes they may seem wholesome but its not like this. Jyp mistreat got7 in alot of ways, putting jb under so much pressure that months ago he really scared me, he posted stories on ig that had me concerned, he overworks twice and stray kids too much, making them do 500 comebacks a year, making them go tru too much pressure, stress and that leads to anxiety problems, injuries and all that jazz. Literally jyp thinks of himself before his own idols, he took a spot to performe at mama or mma last year instead of giving it to his own idols..mi mean like wtf. There ar efunny memes coming from this public interaction between jyp idols and jyp, but its not all roses like he wants to show. Don't get me wrong I love this reaction guys, I love you two so much, but I just wanted to share what his "true colors" are
